Darren came to my condo yesterday to replace a main lock and a dead bolt which had been installed…read moreso badly that it was just about to fall out! The scammer who did that job three years ago had really made a mess and of course, was nowhere to be found after the installation! Basically, the plate had been screwed into a big hole and I was unable to use it as I was afraid to get locked out. Darren was able, after a good two hours of solid work, to replace both the main lock and said deadbolt making it very tight. Excellent and very friendly locksmith I highly recommend if you want the job done RIGHT!!

Darren is the BEST! I locked myself out AND had food in the oven (yes I was scared asf). Called…read moreDarren and he told me he could make it over in about 25 minutes. Indeed he did. He unlocked my door with ease and had me inside within seconds. I showed him my ID, paid him and he was on his way. Once again Darren thank you thank you. If you're locked out call him up. Also nothing burned in my oven

I would give even more stars if I could! B & W Locksmith was the only company that actually knew…read morewhat they were doing. I have an antique door with antique mortise lock hardware. I had a few other places assure me they could fix or replace, they would show up, do nothing but hem and haw and then ask for 30 bucks to come out and not do anything (Of course I gave them nothing). The antique deadbolt was always broken, he fixed that as well even though that wasn't what I brought him out for. The door wouldn't stay closed, a gust of wind would open it. He was able to properly take apart the antique mechanism and essentially reconfigure it so that it would work on my door. He knew how a 100-year old plus lock mechanism actually functioned and how it was meant to operate! This is real knowledge and experience at work! Don't waste your time with other companies that only know how to work in perfect situations, B & W locksmith has real experience and the price was also incredibly reasonable! I ended up paying roughly the same amount that I was estimated at the three other companies that came out and did nothing! Hire this company for any Locksmith services, couldn't recommend more after having terrible experiences with three other companies.

My garage door wouldn't lock completely so he stuck around and gave it some "love" so it could lock properly. He was in and out in about 25 minutes or so and I couldn't complain. His price was super fair and he'd definitely be my next call for a lock out (hopefully no time soon lol).

Had some email communication ahead of calling them to replace locks on new house. Was quoted $165…read moreover the phone with the caveat that it would be dependent on the door, lock, etc. Photos were sent ahead of time. I was assured $165 was a close ballpark figure. Showed up on time a few days later with a lock I didn't pick out, beyond the color (black), but didn't mind how it looked; it was fine. Replaced the lock and was charged OVER DOUBLE the price ($380). The locksmith was very nice but the work was done, so what was I going to do? I told him I was quoted closer to $200 and he said I had been communicating with his mom, and it was her call. Also, black locks were more expensive, apparently. I will take responsibility for not confirming the amount before the work was being done but I felt totally taken advantage of. The process of moving is stressful (and expensive!) as it is. Was very happy to call a small, family owned business but this was a terrible feeling and was completely price gouged. Two stars because it's been a few months and the lock is working just as expected.

That meant I needed a reliable locksmith to drill my locks and replace the locks instead of simply re-keying. Most locksmiths were vague about pricing, with wide ranges for estimates until they got to the job. Wilensky told me up front their cost for the trip, the service/labor, the keys themselves. I appreciated that. I learned a little from our locksmith, too. He showed me what he did for each lock and helped me understand my new smart lock. I felt they were trustworthy. Would use them again.

The first time I used them was on a whim when my locks were failing on a Sunday night around 8 pm. (Perfectly unlucky time). The websites of many locksmiths stated they were 24 hours, but when I called they were unable to help. Central Philadelphia locksmith actually was able to arrive in 45 minutes and take on what ended up being a significant project. They did great work that night, I later hired them for another project and even referred friends there. This has become my go to locksmith in Philadelphia. I haven't been disappointed yet.
