If I could give a zero rating I would. I have a 5 year old mattress high end Beauty Rest Black Gladney purchased from Mattress Firm. The first one was replaced in 4 months for a defect. The current one has developed a deep depression in the middle. My wife and I are not big or heavy people. Submitted a warranty claim--the mattress has a 10 year warranty. Get back that even though it has this huge depression it's not their fault since we have the mattress and box spring on an "inadequate support" and the warranty is void. It's on a bed frame with 7 boards and set in place BY THEIR PEOPLE. Do not buy from them. Horrible product support. read more

Went with my girlfriend to buy a new mattress. I knew what I wanted already because I had shopped online, but the online ordering system was down. So I had to put on pants and go to the store like a straight up commoner. Im kinda glad I did though because Zachary was a damn delight! Super knowledgeable and very accommodating. Dude let us lay on (and explained) every mattress in the store even though we 100% knew the one we were there to buy. *side note: the purple mattress is weird. Do I have to give them one star? Next to United Airlines, this is the worst company I have done business with recently. Like the previous reviewer, I must say Steve made the buying experience a wonderful one, but after everything was downhill. In the end, I am left wondering if Steve is just a great sales guy who is good at duping customers on the quality of Sleepy products. We purchased a Queen bed, box spring, ultimate frame, two pillows and linens. We were encouraged that the linens in the store were amazing quality and that for the price they could not be beat. The mattress was delivered 6 days later for $99. The removal fee was $20 for my old mattress and box spring each, so total was $140. I've heard Cardis does it for free, fyi. Delivery guys (contractors) were punctual but did not completely bolt together the frame. Additionally, the sheets were absolutely terrible quality. Went to the store and the woman working had to call a service center number and I waiting 10-15 minutes while this was hashed out to have delivery service return to finish bolting together the frame and to return the sheets. They would not take returns but after much debate exchanged for a higher thread count of the same type of sheets. (nice gesture, but it would have been way more awesome to not get a shitty product in the first place) The delivery team came back a weekish later and bolted the frame back together and confirmed my suspicious... Sleepy's had delivered the wrong frame with the initial delivery and not the more expensive one I had paid for. Back to the store to demand the correct, higher-quality frame. Another 20 minutes of waiting on the phone while the sales person went back and forth trying to figure out how to correct the error. No true apology or offer to compensate in any way for the error and my time lost dealing with their errors. Upon switching out for the correct frame, the delivery folks then told me they weren't allowed to remove the erroneous frame. Spent another 10-15 minutes on the customer service line and was told that the most they could do was bring it to the curb. Again, after extensively arguing the point that Sleepy should resolve the issue and that I shouldn't have to pay for a trash company to remove their mistake, the customer service person took my number to take it up to management. Eventually, they called back saying that they would reimburse me $50 but that I was still responsible for arranging removal myself. In summary, numerous areas for improvement: 1) Cheaper delivery and removal. $140 (not counting tax) was ridiculous and those numbers were not emphasized upon purchase. 2) Completely assemble frames the upon initial delivery. Apologize and reimburse customers for part of cost of frame if not done. 3) Deliver the correct items and again, reimburse customers for lost time of dealing with these errors. 4) Have sales reps be able to deal with customer service issues immediately in the showroom. Customers shouldn't have to watch 15 minute phone conversations with some third party to address customer concerns. 5) Remove frames. They told me they didn't do this because they don't want frames to damage the new merchandise. Surely you could either use an empty truck or develop some sort of a barrier to correct this. Selling mattresses isn't rocket science, but surely some high school kid at science fair could develop some way to do this. read more

We went to Mattress Firm earlier this month, and were very pleased with the outcome. Zachary was very knowledgeable, and he was patient while we tried mattresses over and over. He even laughed at our silly jokes! Once we picked out what we wanted, he very quickly got all the info and pricing worked up for us, and explained how the current sale worked. My husband went back a few days later and placed the order. Zachary again was incredibly helpful, and now we have our new, comfortable bed and couldn't be happier. read more

We recently visited the Sleepys store in Westerly and I must say, these guys have it all over the competition. We received some of the best service I ever had anywhere I have shopped. Our salesperson was Steve and he was friendly, patient and really knowledgeable. He took his time and gave us a great education on what to look for when buying a mattress. Had a great experience with Lina. She helped us with everything we needed, treated us with respect and took her time with us. She has a great attitude even with our 3kids running around. She had plenty of information for us with her many years of experience working at sleepys. I've been to this store 5 times now. I was just looking 3 of the times and the other two times I bought something. Each time they never forced anything on me. I recently visited the Mattress Firm in Westerly and purchased my first brand new Queen mattress. Lena, the saleswoman was pleasant to deal with. I explained to her exactly what I was looking for in a mattress and she brought me around and showed me all the mattresses that I could choose from. She took her time to make sure my posture was correct for the type of bed I chose. She was patient and attentive to my needs and wants. I highly recommend seeing Lina at Mattress Firm and letting her show you the way to great sleep! The delivery was also on time and prompt and the guys were also friendly and fast!! We went to the Westerly store a couple years ago when it was Sleepy's and purchased a new mattress. This mattress was sagging terribly and causing back pain. We were dealing with the warranty and Mattress Marshals. This became a long, drawn out and frustrating process. We were dealing with this for over a month before we went to the store and were helped by Lina. We cannot say enough about how great she was to us! She walked us through the whole process. She was patient, personable and showed genuine concern for what we were dealing with. She was honest and did not try to push or haggle us. A week later, we had a brand new mattress and box spring. She knows how to do her job and she does it very well. She has exceptional customer service skills and knows how to deal with people. If it wasn't for Lina, we would never have stepped foot back in Mattress Firm and would have brought our business elsewhere. We also wont deal with anybody else in the future besides her when purchasing a mattress. Lina is a total asset to the Mattress Firm store and company as a whole. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with! If you plan on buying a new mattress, go directly to Lina! Great job Lina!!! read more
