The staff here are hands down the best! Located off of Gessner near Richmond in a one story brick building. Plenty of parking. Checkin was easy & before long H took his "no-feelz" pill to knock him out. They provide a large room for the patients & guest to wait. The patient is placed in a recliner until they are ready to be taken back into the back where the magic happens. After nodding off H had to be wakened & taken into one of the operating rooms. Once he was settled I went back to the waiting room & since there were no other patients I snagged a recliner. The place is kept cold so wear a jacket & layers. I fell asleep & when woken up someone had put a blanket on me. Awwwww, just like mom used to do. The doctors are specialists & know what they are doing. They do their job really well & H is headed in the right direction for oral health. After receiving after-care information I pulled the car up front so they could wheel H out. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations.

Smh... here it is April 1,2026 & I am in dire need of service from a Prosthodontist. I happen to come across the business card of this establishment and decided to look up their reviews ( 5 stars) yay... & finally write one myself! Oh and the office & building is very nice but be sure to leave ASAP if it ever starts raining/storming hard in that area, unfortunately totaled out my Dodge Caravan back then because I was parked on the side street of the building & the streets flooded quickly in less than an hour up the floorboard inside of the vehicles parked out there... now that was frustrating! I regretted not parking in the garage. It's HOUSTON, TX. & unfortunately floods happen randomly! The staff provided educational videos about the procedure and conducted an exam to plan the best approach. Dr. Mahmood kindly explained each step of the process to ensure I understood everything. I chose to proceed with local anesthesia and opted out of the Exparel injection at the end of the surgery. I scheduled my surgery for two weeks later and received thorough instructions beforehand. On the day of the procedure, it lasted about 30 minutes; one wisdom tooth was more complex and took a bit longer. The recovery was smooth, with no significant pain or swelling, thanks to careful adherence to the medication schedule. Five days post-surgery, I noticed only a small hematoma in a facial area. I am very grateful to Dr. Mahmood, the assistants, and the entire staff for their excellent care and support throughout this process.

The office is very COVID safe: not allowing guests in waiting rooms, monitoring temperatures, staff wearing face shields. For the procedure, I chose to go under and it was a very quick procedure (less than an hour). I only had to clamp down on the gauze for 1 hour afterwards and the bleeding disappeared. I didn't have any pain afterwards and didnt need any pain medication! I was back to eating solid food within 5 days. The office provides you with a specific syringe that you can spray into the holes left behind by the teeth to clean out any food debris stuck in the holes which was very helpful! The staff also call on you to check up and are very responsive to any questions. Dr. Mahmood is also very personable. Honestly, the most seamless experience ever, I couldn't rate any higher.

But, suffice it to say, I had been in awful pain for over a month while two other dentists attempted to identify and fix the problem; so I was not the happiest of campers! But after meeting with Dr. Lopez, my deepest intuition told me he was the only one I would trust to help me out of my predicament. Due to my situation, there were many days of after-care which took place in the office. Each day I was there, Dr. Lopez was so kind and helpful, and during each step of the treatment, applied his vast knowledge in a wise and calm, reassuring manner. The ladies who assisted him were amazing... so kind without fail -- and obviously extremely capable in their field... they were like Dental Angels :-) ! I feel my case was handled by everyone there in the most positive and beneficial way, and because of Dr. Lopez, I soon believed I would be ready to leave on a 3-week vacation without any major problems. However, after meeting Dr. Lopez and talking to him he put all my concerns to rest. His bedside manners are second to none. After my consolidation, the ladies in the office called before my surgery to check in with me, to review my procedure again and make sure I didn't have any additional questions. The day of the surgery Dr. Lopez did everything he could to make sure I was comfortable. He came out behind the receptionist desk when I was in the waiting room and asked if I was ready and starting making jokes. He knew that I was terrified of needles like a little kid so he made me completely forget about the needle. I mentioned that laying back helps me when it comes to needles, so before he started the IV he reclined my seat all the way back in a full relax mood, he had one of his assistants hold my hand. (Don't laugh - I have a sever issue with needles) After the surgery no pain, no extra bleeding. I seriously was up Friday like nothing had happen - other then a small amount of swelling. My only suggestion is never ask someone who had their wisdom teeth pulled 30 years ago about the process, they will all give you horror stories.
