Place is pretty clean. I've never had to make an appointment. Anytime I walked in. I was taken right away and never had to wait. Depending on who does your nails, the quality is a little inconsistent, but overall the price is right for a manicure and pedicure. read more

***Disclaimer: this is going to be a long one I came to this salon for a pedicure. Biggest mistake of my life! I always inform my techs to NOT cut my cuticles but of course she didn't listen and cut them anyways (sidenote: my cuticles bleed). About 3 days later I noticed that I was walking with a slight limp. I also noticed that my toes felt a little sore. I didn't think anything of it..I just popped some Aleve and continued on. A week later it got to the point where I could barely walk and it was interfering with my job. Every shoe I wore hurt; sandals, flats, running shoes..I was in constant pain. Maybe a week and a half later my boyfriend was preparing to rub my feet until I heard him say, "Oh my God!". I looked down and inspected my feet and to my horror both of my big toes were so inflamed they were puffy, soft and tender and green!! Yes GREEN!!! All around my cuticles had turned a sick greenish gray color! My boyfriend took me immediately to the ER were I watched with my own eyes as the doctor took a tool and pulled back the skin around my cuticle and watch puss shot across the room. I felt immediate relief! I tell everyone to AVOID coming to this salon. I don't know if they sanitize their tools, wash out the bowls or even know what they are doing. I called on Saturday morning at 9:30 AM and a young lady picked up. I asked her if I can come now but she politely said that she had a 10 o'clock appointment and it will take two hours; if I could come at noon she would take my appointment. So then I asked her if she had any appointments for Sunday and she said no and that I could come at 9 AM. As soon as I came in on Sunday she remembered my name, asked me to choose a color and sat me down. I stopped by this nail salon as I waited for my vehicle to be detailed, I left as soon as I sat down. The nail tech station was FILTHY. Like I haven't dusted in years so my lamp is covered in dust filthy. Clean tools? Forget about it. I waited for her to go and grab new tools and as soon as I saw that wasn't happening I left. Not only did the tech have food on station she continued to eat, did not wash her hands. How this business is still open is beyond me. I usually come here for my eyebrows but this time decided to give my nails a try. The wait wasn't long because I had an appointment but the man that did my nails did such a HORRIBLE JOB I could do my nails 10x better. The nail polish was all over my skin and barely on the nail. I came to this nail shop simply because it was convenient to my friend's house while I was visiting MA. I didn't get great vibes from this place based on the cleanliness of everything around me. They just seemed like they were the type of establishment to never sanitize their tools and that's not a great vibe to give out. I got a quick refill and they were okay. I've been to numerous nail places throughout Boston, this one is a keeper for me. The updated massage chairs put me to sleep and have me drooling. They offer 100+ nail colors. The one time use toe separators for the pedicures is a must. They will give you cute little paper shoes to wear home if you don't wear your own flip flops. I'm the walk-in type, and I've never had to wait more than 15 mins to be serviced. They even do a decent job with eyebrows. The girls even make small talk while they are working on my feet. The first time I went here was with my friend. I got a Shellac. The lady clipped my cuticles too deep and I started to bleed. Other than that, I liked the overall result until about 3 days later. My nails don't grow fast so I know it wasn't me who was making the nails look old. My thumb started to have brownish cracking at the tip of it and then my middle finger. I didn't know what was causing it and hoped it was just my polish and not my real nail. Thank God it wasn't. 2/5 stars for this visit. I continued to go to another place for a Shellac manicure. My nails were growing beautiful and strong, the manicures were flawless and last atleast 2 1/2 weeks. Last week, my boyfriend took me out for a birthday morning run, whoop whoop lol! He took me to Z Nails to get a Shellac manicure. Although I vowed not to go here again, it was his treat & I didn't wanna make him feel like he made a bad choice . We walked in a little after it opened. We said we wanted Shellac & regular manicure clean up for him. The lady at 6 took me and started on my nails. I was hesitant. It was other workers in there and about. 2 customers getting pedis. One of the male workers walked in and my boyfriend asked could he do his manicure since it was no one waiting but him. He rudely said "I dnt do men nails" like wtf? Okaayy. It's literally cleaning up his cuticles and filing his nails down, but anyways. 3 minutes passed, another worker a lady came in. My bf asked her could she take him, she said no bcus she already had an appointment. Understandably but also rude mannered. Mind you, the only reason he's asking is bcus we were on a time limit before we left for our next spot. Anyways, the lady is still working on my nails, almost finished when some random customer walked in. She said she wanted to get whatever done to her nails. That is when the lady who so called had an appt. told her she could take her. Wtf? To say the least, we were pissed! So finally the lady is finished with me. My boyfriend gets in the chair. She starts to do his nails and before he gets his cuticles clipped, I see her wiped my clippings off and start in on his. I was disgusted. I told her could she get another one before she looked up, she nipped him and he started to bleed. Like so nasty, they are not practicing good infection control in that place. At this point, we paid and left feeling not so satisfied. As of a few days after, his nails are starting to chip and are becoming brittle. My Shellac manicure is horrible! Once again I have the same problems, brown cracks, chipping polish, lacking luster commonly associated with this polish. I just dnt like this salon. On May 9, I took my 95 yo mother here to get a pedicure. She has dementia and is hard of hearing. Her nails are thick and as Tom (?) began to clip her nails, my mother pulled away in discomfort. I mentioned to her that my mother was hurting and asked if she was going to use the electric file. She became very defensive and told me that she wasn't hurting my mom and not to tell her how to do her job. I told her that I simply asked a question, to which she jumped up with great attitude and said she couldn't continue. When I approached whom I thought was the "manager" he defended her telling me about the schooling, etc of his technicians and how Her feelings were hurt and I was lucky to be able to sit next to my mother instead of the waiting area. I was there as an advocate for my mother, the queen and matriarch of my family and this was the treatment received. What happened to the rights of paying customers. They may have nail training but none in people skills whatsoever. A different technician completed my mother's feet, and she had more compassion than the other two people I dealt with, but I will never patron this place again, nor would I recommend it. read more

i just got a manicure got my nails done for first time they had did my cuticles with the little machine and had me soak my hand each hand in water that was warn but probly not clean becase they then polished my hand and when i got home a few hours later i had a big bubble in middle finger of right hand it was a big clear ball i stuck a pin in it and fluid came out i never had that buble before going there i think they didntclean tools or anything it was crowded i had to wait til a spot was open and didnt see them get clean tools read more

I only get my gel nails done by one person when I come here and that's Tammy. There's another woman in there who's great, but unfortunately I can't recall her name. Tons of great colors to choose from. The service here is pretty good, but it also depends on the time and day that you're coming. There have been times when I came and was immediately seen and then there were times I had to wait for close to an hour, but then again what can a woman expect coming at 1PM on a Saturday? . The prices are reasonable and they also do body waxing. I'd suggest calling in advance to schedule any body waxing so you won't be rushed. I've been to a LOT of nail salons, and this one by far has the best everything. They're salon is modern and clean looking. I like how the pedicure chairs are kind of off to the corner and secluded in case I snooze during my foot rub. I've had my brows and lips waxed here before too. Great selection of nail polishes and the nail technicians are super nice and welcoming. Finding street parking can be a little difficult, but I'll def be returning! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. As a licensed cosmetologist I know what's right and wrong. I was trained to know all about hair skin and nails (I shared my license in the photos section for this place if you don't believe me) The only reason I went here was because I was no where near my typical place I usually go to, and I really needed the service done. Let's start off by saying This place is horrible and unsanitary. Granted they did take me very fast but honestly I should have ran. The lady told me to pick my gel color and she'll match it for me with a pedicure regular polish. I thought hat was nice of her. Then she said "ok you picked your color go sit down". Then she began doing my manicure. The shape was all uneven. Some were left square and some were left round. She began buffing over my clear polish I had on so I had to tell her in order for her take it off because that would've ruined the gel. She rushed through my whole manicure and continued to cough and wipe her nose on her sleeve. If you've ever gotten a gel manicure you know that the machine signals you to take your hand out when the light shots off then you proceed to the next hand. But this lady was in such a rush she continued to tell me to put my hand in the dryer and switch even when the machine didn't signal to. Which is a big NO NO because if you take them out too early you run the risk of having your nails come out thick and still wet (it doesn't dry like regular polish). Once she finished my manicure (by the way she didn't massage my hand at all with lotion or my forearm like you're suppose to) she told me to wash my hands and as I did, I noticed there was a trash can right next to the sinks that was full of a brown old substance that was all over the trash can (you're suppose to keep all trash enclosed). The lid of the trash can was also full of this brown substance and the smell was quite alarming. I thought maybe I'm overreacting so I decided to just finish and get my pedi. After that I was instructed to the pedicure station she rushed through my pedicure as well (no foot massage no leg massage no lotion). She continued to pressure me to get a wax throughout the whole service. For some DUMB Very DUMB reason I continued to have faith that they would do something right (I don't know why I have so much trust and faith in people). I said "ok who's the best at eyebrows" let's just say "RIP my eyebrows" pretty much because I left with skinny unsymmetrical eyebrows, messed up nails and messed up toe nails. Worst place ever. They're literally bad for business.I waited 2 hours for someone to do my nails because only "one" person knows how to do dip. ( if that's the case why decide to have dip in the salon). While i was waiting i got questioned as if i was lying about getting my nails done there and by someone. If you're looking to get a good wax ask for Susan and you will leave happy. She knows what she's doing, is friendly and professional. She gets everything and even uses tweezers to get what little is left. I've had Brazilian, full legs, lower back and stomach waxed by her on different occasions. and I always know if I ask for her I'm all set. The prices for waxing you also can't beat. Im giving this place 1 star based only on the fact that they have nice colors. I came in on a monday and saw the guy who sits in front. He was very friendly but his work was much to be desired. I came for a full set. He did not gove the shape i wanted nor did he make sure the acrylics were laid properly and even. When i would try to speak up or look at my nails he would just say ' I do later i do later'....he didnot do later....end result the nails were super thick in some places and some spots had no acrylic, theydtarted to even peel within hours. Come wednesday i called to tell them isomeone needed to fix the nails. When i came in there he was and they had me sit with him although i explained i wanted a new tech. Either way i was tired and just let him 'fix' his disaster. Its not foxed, he was super rough handling my fingers(think is mad), he didnt want to put color on and then when he did he left it around my fingertips! Im writing this review while sitting waiting for my nails to dry contemplating cursing him out! But ill just fix em down the line. This place can easily be voted "Worst" salon in Boston. The staff is extremely rude. I contracted a foot fungus from the salon and forgave them by returning. When I returned, I explained the situation, thus requesting that the tub is rinsed, cleaned again, and the instruments properly sanitized. One of the staff members got really upset about my request, stating that things happen and the instruments are cleaned daily. I told her it was my right to request that the instruments, tub and anything being used on my body be properly sanitized. She gave me the proper response, which was "why did you return". She was correct, she acknowledged that sanitation process of the institution is lacking, adverse and harmful to its clients. As humans, we get comfortable with things around us... Take a change and move away from 4th rate services in your neighborhood. Pay a little more for peace of mind. read more

I WAS a regular until I went one day. I had got AWFUL service. I had waited to be taken care for almost 3 hours. When someone finally got to me it was someone who apparently DIDN'T do feet and ONLY did hands. I had made it VERY clear I wanted my hands & feet done. TOMMY(person who had done the awful job) assured me that I'd be fine and that he was gunna do my hands first. As he is doing my refill i wasn't impressed. He was putting very little powder and made it seem as if it was his last cup of powder. I told him I was feeling the color and he said i need 2 more coats. If I tell you I don't want a color; that means take it off. TOMMY was new and had a table. In my opinion if you can't do it all then you shouldn't be given a table. The owner was doing nail next to me and ALLOWED this. I am over them. I will NOT be going there anymore. Im all set. I advise whoever is reading this to go anywhere else!
