We ordered a salmon crudo as an appetizer and our entrees arrived before it did. When my friend ordered a tempura udon and asked for two bowls so we could share, we waited on those as well. Our server was polite the whole time and the restaurant was clearly short staffed. Two of us felt unwell for the rest of the day and one of us threw up that evening. I emailed the restaurant a calm, detailed account of the visit. When people started feeling sick, I wrote again to tell them so, because it seemed like something a restaurant would want to know. A week later I have had no response to either message. For a restaurant serving raw fish, that silence is hard to accept. Handling raw seafood comes with a higher standard of care, and part of that standard is what you do when a customer tells you people got sick after eating your food. You check. You ask what we ordered. You write back. Even a two line reply would have told me somebody looked into it. I'm not writing this because of a slow lunch.
