If you're looking for a cozy neighborhood tavern then check out Matilda! The eclectic pub menu paired well with signature cocktails. They also had an amazing rotation of brews. I loved the ambiance with muted grays and gold to simulate a chemical reaction of chrome and zinc . I loved the fireplace nook. My friends and I enjoyed the music while we waited for our drinks and food. My friends loved the delicious thin crust gf ; meat wave pizza. Those giordano peppers added some heat ! Another friend raved about his Philly cheesesteak. I look forward to checking out Matilda again. The service and staff were so welcoming and helpful.

Vibes were good. Drinks were delicious. The menu had different seasonal items than their website. Sharing for those that like to check out the options before they arrive, like me

Great spot to watch a Michigan football game! Elevated bar food - the Brussels were a fan favorite at our table. The drink menu is extensive and delightful.

Another amazing visit to Matilda! This is going to be a new regular spot. The burrata bruschetta was so delicious, it's a must order! The cocktails were phenomenal as well. The service is always great here. We ordered a crispy chicken sandwich to split and they brought it out on two separate plates for us. The servers go above and beyond!

This is a great place when you are in the neighborhood and needing some good food and beer! It's a fun spot, with great music and the staff feels like a family. SERVICE: When we sat down the waitress Roxy was so attentive and helpful. Everything we ordered came out hot and we enjoyed her personality!! WHAT I ORDERED: The cheese curds and the lemon honey Brussels are must have appetizers! The ricotta and hot honey pizza is perfect and we tried the gluten free crust which was great! We also had the farmers choice salad and the atlas burger. A great weeknight spot! RESTAURANT VIBE: Loud from music but not overly loud. It's a tad dark inside but it didn't bother us! Lots of seating and there's a speakeasy/club downstairs!!

We stopped in here for a late night bite and a sit-down place to have a drink. I first asked the waitress what the gluten-free options were, and she seemed to try to avoid the question and didn't help with ordering with dietary restrictions. I ended up finding a gluten free pizza and it did turn out pretty good. I ordered a glass of red wine and when the waitress set it down, it had an ant crawling around the outside of the glass! My friends ordered waffle fries and a pizza of their own. There are plenty of board games here which made a fun night. Overall, the idea of a bar with games is very fun, but the staff wasn't great or clean.

GREAT neighborhood bar/ restaurant. The fried Brussels sprouts are worth coming alone. $4 drafts on Monday's and great deals all week long.

It's also helpful because you can easily split the check amongst multiple people using the QR at the table too. We were not here on a game day, but it was during a few March Madness games, so it was VERY VERY loud, so be prepared to shout to the people at your table.

We were sat quickly, but service was pretty slow. They have QR codes on the tables for ordering and paying, so that's helpful when it's so busy. It was incredibly loud inside, so be prepared for that. There's an upper level but it was closed when we went (3/21/26). The espresso martini was good, they have cocktail and both non-local and local beer options. The food looked really good but we didn't get any when we went. There are TVs all over. The patio is a great place to sit in the nice weather, and a grassy area to hang out, have kids play, or bring your dog(s). The bathroom was super cool, the back wall was a whole row of windows looking over the street and all the bars. Had a fun Nashville vibe!

Only giving two stars because of the lovely bartender that served us (didn't catch their name)…read more There was however, another bartender (blonde) that seemed to have some issue with my friend and I being in the bar. We came in around 1:15am, thinking this would be a cool bar to end the night. The first bartender informed us that last call was approaching. We only wanted one round, so we immediately closed out after ordering. That bartender was very attentive and pleasant during the entire transaction. At 1:50am, the other bartender (who wasn't even serving us/hadn't spoke to us) came over and said we needed to start chugging. Her words: "I'm not going to tell you to get the f* out, but you need to chug". She kept telling us we needed to chug, and I kindly told her I wasn't chugging anything because we already paid and I can literally just leave. She brought up the bar closing soon (we already heard the very loud announcement for last call). She proceeded to blame it on having a bad day. Mind you, someone next to me literally just came in, and was being served. She tried to back out of it and kept repeating we'll know when it's time to go. I'm not sure what kind of establishment this is, but she didn't say anything to anyone else but us, the only two Black women at the bar at the time. I don't understand why she felt like it was okay to direct her "bad day" at us, sitting there calmly with two half drunken beers, while there were plenty of other people still up and active at the bar. The behavior displayed, completely unacceptable.

The onion rings, though, were absolutely fantastic. Service was top notch, and we were so well taken care of. I honestly can't imagine how they handled so many customers that night--kudos to the team. And the bathrooms were super clean, which I always appreciate. I'd definitely go back for a pint and to watch the game.
