The teachers are very caring and try their best to get the child to participate without pushing. The teachers ask tons of questions about your kid to see what you do at home that they can do to make them feel comfortable. My son has been in daycare since he was 10 months old (at a different school). The director/principal, Marilynn is extremely sweet and cares about the kids. Ms. Shannon was helpful with the process and has been our second eyes in terms of the activities that they offer. Although my son likes gymnastics, it may not be his top 5 . His teachers Ms. Ramita and Ms. Christy have been amazing. Providing recommendations on how to help with the new school transition as well as offering my son various options during drop off to make drop off easier on him.

Then they created a curriculum for him. He is slightly above his grade level in math. They took what he was already good at, but slow at. Explained that a student can get bored with it even if they are good at it, when they are slow. Asked if it was ok if they taught him faster ways to arrive at the correct answers. (He was getting correct answers but using slower methods.) He is thriving in math! He enjoyed it in public school a few years ago. Had a bad run with teachers who didn't keep it fun anymore. And now, with Mathnasium, he finds it fun again!! He has only been coming here a few very short months, and is about to finish up grade level math, and start the next grade level of math before this year's schooling is up. He even compliments them sometimes to me. He told me yesterday , "I used to forget things I learned in math at school a week after they taught me. But I know it perfectly now." We found such a more welcoming and amazing Montessori school just a few minutes down the road where our child prospered and is now excelling in elementary.

In junior year of HS he breezed through Calculus BC and Physics with straight A's. Next year is Statistics in math, AP physics and yet another math class over the summer. He finds these classes interesting and fun! I think everyone would ace math if this was the normal curriculum and I wish it was. After touring this primrose location, my husband and I loved the atmosphere and decided to enroll…read moreour 14 month old daughter and went back on Tuesday January 20th to complete enrollment paperwork. While my husband was filling out docs, I walked my daughter through the school hallway to keep her busy and when I looked into the 16M+ classroom (the classroom she would be joining), I witnessed the teacher yank a little boy by his arm. She pulled him from above the elbow and his legs were not touching the ground. Not only that we heard her yell at a child in the classroom to "SIT DOWN" very aggressively before this. It was loud enough that we heard it from the sitting room in the front. The directors assistant went into the classroom to check what was going on. Needless to say, we did not enroll our daughter into this school and left shortly after. I let the director know what I had seen and we left. I later got a phone call from the director explaining what I had seen was redirection from the teacher and that she had been at "this school for 4 years" and said words like "appeared" and "perceived". There is no excuse for a teacher to yell at babies in this way. There is no excuse for someone to pull a child in the way that she did. She could have caused an injury and dislocated his shoulder. I did not get another phone call and I don't know if this incident was reported but | feel like it is my responsibility to let anyone looking into this school know what I saw. I still think about that poor child and what his parents might not know. Please do not enroll your children into this school especially if your babies cannot speak to you and let you know what kind of treatment they are getting. What I saw has affected me and we are lucky enough to be able to keep our girl at home with us and delay day care.
