We payed nearly $6,000 for the year and three weeks before final exams they cut us off saying "the school year is only eight months." When asked if they would be willing to give my child another week, they said only if we were willing to leave a positive review. That might explain how they have so many positive reviews.

Background: When covid happened, we pulled our daughter, Mackenzie, out of preschool that spring and she stayed out of the school environment through the summer. She started kindergarten virtually, but unfortunately, she was one that did not build a good enough foundation to help her succeed in her schoolwork, even after they went back in person. Fall 2022: Fast forward to this school year, and we're at parent teacher conferences reviewing her MAP scores. She was essentially reading at a kindergarten level, and performing at a 1st-ish grade level in math. So, we needed to do something to help her catch up. We researched several places local centers and also considered private tutoring from teacher friends. We decided on The Tutoring Club for several reasons: 1) We liked the director, Jessica, who had the same ideology of how we learned "back when we were in school" and how their curriculum supported it. 2) We liked the flexibility to help Mackenzie with her school work, in addition to the curriculum they had her do. 3) We liked that it's a brick and mortar. We can always count on them being there, and they are also reasonable with absences - if we had to miss a day here and there because of our other extracurricular activities. Mackenzie started attending tutoring in mid-October and went for 2 hour sessions, 3 days a week. She loved it! The tutors incentivized the work so that she had a goal. They made it fun for her, and it motivated her to want to learn to read. The tutors are friendly and they made the experience enjoyable for her. Spring 2023: It's now May, and we received Mackenzie's final MAP scores of the year. Her test scores substantially grew over the entire school year, and she is now above grade level for both subjects! I would attribute her success completely to the work that the Tutoring Club has done with her, as we never changed anything in our home life. We are so grateful for the help that the Tutoring Club provided, and again, we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great tutoring center in North Las Vegas!

My son was required to visit the CSN campus in-person for more information on the scholarship and to get started on the enrollment process. The Charleston campus was closer to us, but we could only get reservations for the North Cheyenne campus. The meeting was from 5:30 - 7:00 P.M at the College of Southern Nevada, in the C building. Getting to the campus was relatively easy. I took the 215 to the I15 and from there took local streets. It was about 25 minutes away. There was spacious amount of parking spots available. It was easy to get to building C, on the second floor. You could use stairs or the elevators to get to the building. The team members at CSN were amazing! They answered all of the questions our family had regarding the scholarship process!

CSN (all campuses) has some really great professors, faculty and staff. However, there are consistent problems with how student concerns are handled... And from observation in the last couple of years, it would seem that the institution (and student government) has a gradual decline in their processes. Even in the Academic Advising Office of North Cheyenne Campus, I often leave feeling dismissed. Especially when one of the senior women employees are there, the apathetic attitude gives off an, "I figured it out, you should too." Or at the Testing Center (I'm uncertain if it is due to being in an environment with limited opportunities for advancement, if I'm being subtly punished for straying from their narrow expectations, or if the social friction is caused from misinterpretations of our communication styles)-- the lady there is rather passive aggressive in her nonverbal behaviors. Additionally, I understand the importance in de-escalation, but if ASCSN wanted to minimize conflict, then they wouldn't have hosted a proposal from an organization known to be politically volatile into their meeting room. How many people do you believe will look the other way? For those of you who don't have many options... It's not ideal, but might as well stick with online classes if you can, because many of the professors lean more on the disciplinary side of things; because you decided to speak informally, you dug yourself a grave and now have to put in extra effort to put out more words just to make your case. Students shouldn't be made to feel like they're walking on broken glass.

It's been really rewarding to watch their confidence grow along with their skills. One thing I really appreciate is the flexibility of the program. We can bring them as little or as often as we want, which makes it very easy to work around our family's schedule. The reward system they use is also fantastic. It keeps the kids motivated and excited to go, which makes a big difference when it comes to learning math. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and clearly invested in helping the kids succeed. My only wish is that they were open on Fridays as well, although I completely understand why they aren't. Overall, we've had a great experience and I would absolutely recommend Mathnasium to other families looking to help their kids build stronger math skills and confidence.

The teaching approach here is truly remarkable, fostering an environment where learning thrives and confidence grows. The instructors have been instrumental in her transformation, nurturing her potential and making math an enjoyable experience. My daughter raves about the approachable and supportive instructors who make learning fun. She cherishes the opportunity to interact with peers, turning what used to be a stressful experience into an exciting adventure. Additional homework help is just the icing on the cake. I wholeheartedly recommend Mathnasium Aliante for its exceptional approach to education.
