They will mentor your family and point you toward resources that make sense. If you every wanted to home school and were afraid to take the plunge they will guide you. They have been open for only a few weeks and they want to low cost classes to the community that will supplemental your educational goals. They let anyone who is passionate about a subject teach because what makes great life learners is enthusiasm for a subject not a credential. My daughter would spend her whole day here if she could.

This is the kind of school that parents in Los Angeles, San Francisco or NYC have to jump through hoops to get their kids into, with massive politics and financial commitments at play. Yet in Vegas, many parents (including on our street) send their kids to Dawson due to its reputation for being easier and more artsy as they are terrified of the academic competitiveness of Meadows. If these same parents were in the Bay Area they'd be doing backflips trying to get their kids into the same sort of school there as Meadows. The campus is amazing. The curriculum is challenging. The kids are happy and very engaged in sports, theater, charity and other after-school activities. The parents are friendly and, especially the "Meadows Moms", work tirelessly to help out. Yes, your kid has to test into each school (K, middle, high). Great, we love a meritocracy rather than forced social promotion. And my daughter will have friends for life as she goes from K thru 12 here.

Then the supervisor came out from the back, and wrote notes, LIES on the computer. about the Black lady. They write bad notes and lies about you if they don't like you. The supervisor gave her the food, but also wrote notes with lies on that Black lady's record. I was there in line and watched the whole incident. They are bad people who will write lies on your record, so you will not be able to get food if they don't like you. I couldn't believe they bullied that Black lady who was just trying to get food for her family. The Government gives this place grants for food, but they act like they personally bought the food with their own money. They treat people badly. Don't go there if you want them to write lies on your chart and bully you. The Black lady was crying while the worker was yelling at her.

Even though there are negative reviews, I have a feeling those reviews come from students that…read moremaybe don't behave well, which is possibly why they hate the teachers... but personally, I think this is a great school! the teachers are all super nice, rules are kind of strict but it's for the best! I will say that you need to be careful about who you talk to because some people are very fake in this school, and rumors spread like wildfire, but if you pick wisely, you can find the perfect friend or friend group!

This is my second review of this school and this is my experience only if your child is black do…read morenot send them to this school. My baby attends this school and she will not be returning next year. Today they went on a field trip where they walked to the Santa Fe to watch a movie. All the kids parents and teachers where there walking with the kids. After the teacher which I won't say her name but posted almost 20 pictures of all the kids sitting down eating their popcorn and having a good time. My baby wasn't in not one of those pictures to the point I had to call the school and ask was she even there. That upset me so bad and really there is nothing they can say to make me understand this. I would never send my kid back to this school I thought I was sending her to a good school but this school is not it. I'm very disappointed.

Overall, Journey Education feels like a place where students are seen, supported, and given the space to develop at their own pace. We've been grateful for the experience. The teachers truly care about the students and are very involved in helping them grow both academically and personally. The staff is welcoming, communication with parents is great, and it genuinely feels like the teachers and administrators are invested in each child's success. My son has built confidence, strong friendships, and a love for learning during his time here. Journey also does a great job of focusing on character, kindness, and leadership, not just academics. I received a citation and I am required to complete a 5 hour traffic school course. I logged on to…read morethe website and paid my $50 dollars for the course, then I encountered a problem. I inputted my information but received an error on the security questions page. I refreshed the page, logged out and still nothing changed. I then emailed the online chat system and twice and no response. I then waited a day to just see if it was my computer etc. and on Monday, June 11th. The error is still occurring. I called customer service and after three long holds, I finally got a representative. She informed me that their system has been down since Wednesday and technicians are working on the problem. This is ridiculous. How can this be a requirement and the systems isn't working. Way to go LRS Systems. Way to take your customers money and not deliver on the service paid for.
