I needed someone to proofread my Statement Of Purpose for graduate school admission. Since I hadn't…read morewritten an essay in probably 10 years, I'd asked few friends to provide feedback before I reached out to Christin. Despite our best efforts Christin was still able to identify a few grammatical errors, instances of passive voice, as well as confusing tenses in the same paragraph. In addition to her technical acumen, Christin is a really sweet person. She was patient and read through multiple revisions. Her criticisms were so gentle that I didn't even mind them and I'm usually a sensitive person. I was really impressed with how subtle her suggestions were, yet they made a huge difference in how readable my statement was. I'm really glad for her help and would recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their writing.

My son has always struggled with reading and writing,  in spite of the best efforts of teachers and his IEP program at school.  We finally decided to get extra help and connected with Christin.   She was very helpful in answering all of our  questions and was great to work with. My son also seemed to enjoy working with Christin as she seemed to connect with him in ways that helped him have fun while learning. I would highly recommend her services!

When my children struggled, whether it was academically or socially, the teachers were nothing but supportive, compassionate, and determined to help get them back on track. My son had a few behavioral issues over the years and they were dealt with fairly. The 6th grade team does a fantastic job of preparing the kids for Junior High. Dennison Elementary has a 44 year tradition of delivering one of the finest elementary educations…read moreto young people in Jefferson County. This is demonstrated by the numerous awards Dennison receives, the community of teachers, students, parents and alumni and the strong connection between Dennison and D'Evelyn High School. Dennison is a large lottery only Jeffco elementary school. It has a very diverse and inclusive population of students and families who attend and to me, this is one reason I think the school is exceptional. Dedicated teachers lead rigorous whole group classes to fully prepare students for junior high, high school, college and beyond. All children are held to the same educational and behavioral expectations. The students learn respect for others, accountability for learning and gain confidence in themselves and their abilities. The staff is hard-working, very dedicated and cares deeply about protecting the learning environment for students. If you are considering Dennison, take a tour. You'll notice the students are respectful, quite when walking through the halls and if you look into each classroom you will find children engaged and learning. The children utilize text books and can be observed reading, writing and taking many tests. Dennison is continually the highest ranked elementary school in Jeffco because the educational and behavioral model works. Wish more schools would follow Dennison's model to give more students this type of unique learning environment.

She has been accepted, and is going into the International Baccalaureate program at George Washington. I did not like that the TAP kids were segregated from the IP kids at Hamilton. I did not like that the 6th grade and the 8th grade shared personal space. When I was in "Jr. High" it was 7th and 8th grade. The 6th-8thgrades provides an age range of 11-15 - kind of weird (still don't like it), but I realize this is the trend of the state, not the school. What I did like was the strong parental involvement, the strong academic IP program, and the fact that most of the kids Maddi was going to school with came from the stronger DPS elementary schools like Slavins, Cory and U.Park. What I now love is the teacher involvement with students as they move from middle school to high school, preparing them for an amazing academic program no matter what high school they choose. I love the parents who are moving from Middle school PTA partnerships to High school PTA partnerships. I love the friendships that my daughter has formed with a hugely diverse group of kids. And note: I love love love the Hamilton Middle School girls soccer team which has been ranked #1 in DPS for years now. My daughter plays sweeper :)
