* Visited on a Thursday around 11:30am :)…read more I had gotten my car smog here after looking for a nearby star certified station. It was pretty quick and easy- literally finished within 15-20 minutes and that's without an appointment. I believe the pricing was $100 for the smog, but there's a coupon on their site for $30 off- be sure to check out their site. Mind you, it's 1 stall and I came while they weren't busy.

Hello I hope the owner reads this!…read more I have been coming to this smog for the last 4 years with 5 cars throughout that time my families cars. Today I needed to go and came around 440 pm to queen smog to get a needed smog for my 4Runner which I have brought it before twice and it's taken 10-15 minutes max. I pull up and address the employee very nicely and state hello sir, not even a greeting back just states " you know what time it is ?" . I responded stating yea I got off work late to come straight here. He responds " we close at 5, come earlier , u have dinosaur car it takes 30 minutes " . This is where I get a little upset bc in what world does a smog take 30 minutes? Please tell me ? And then to tell me to come earlier ... and then I state why are you telling to come earlier. Then he keeps repeating you have a Dino car over and over and states he is not gonnna do overtime bc he still has close the books .... What a joke. Owner of this smog place pls train your employee on correct customer service. I am hoping for a response back.

They were initially recommended to me by a AAA tech who helped me out with my car battery. I went to their Santa Clara location and their mechanic was out for the day because of an emergency, so I said no problem and went back the next day. I received good, honestly priced and quick service that time, so I didn't hold it against them and went back a second time a couple months later to get my car smogged. Firstly, their Santa Clara location doesn't do STAR smogs, so my bad - although it's in the name. They told me to go up to the Sunnyvale location so I did, where I was told the tech left for lunch or something and would be back in an hour. Since I was already there and it wasn't too far from a dry place to sit as it was raining that day, I left the car with them and went somewhere else to wait. About 30 minutes later I get a call saying the tech was not coming back for the day and to come get my car. O...Kay. Not cool. Sorry, but I won't be back.

Minh knows his stuff, will be honest & straightforward regarding whatever the situation is, won't to try to upsell you, and will recommend you go elsewhere if, for whatever reason, doing so is appropriate. I've been so impressed with their quality of work, competitive pricing and overall business ethics (a somewhat unique combination) that I am now still willing to make the trek from Pleasanton to Sunnyvale - despite numerous more local options, and the inconvenience of the drive - in order to have most major repairs done by Minh & his team.
