The office and exam rooms are sparkling clean, modern and equipped with state-of-the-art testing equipment. The team at Prpic are friendly, knowledgeable and respectful. They greeted us with lovely smiles, provided all the information we needed and invited us to ask questions throughout our appointments. The staff member who conducted my pre-testing explained all the procedures and made me feel comfortable with her warm, friendly and professional manner. After my eye test, Dr. Petar arranged for me to have an additional test to investigate possible signs of glaucoma. He said the change in my prescription was so slight I didn't need to order new office or reading glasses at this time. However, as I have some eye damage from UV exposure, he recommended prescription sunglasses to help prevent further damage to my eyes. In fact, Dr. Chew advised against getting the more expensive lens as it was not suitable for me. When I arrived for the surgery, the process was simple and very efficient and the actual process seemed like it was only 15 minutes. Had my right eye done, which was so blurry, I could barely see. Absolutely amazed at the result. Had the left eye done one month later, again, perfect and I was already working on the same day on my computer. Highly recommended.

A few years ago I was referred by my Optometrist to see Dr. Wade for cataract surgery for my left eye. Through careful and precise pre-op check up, Dr. Wade found in my right eye that I had crystals (talk about really sparkly eyes haha) and a portion of my retina had detached. I was rushed in surgery for the retina by a colleague of Dr. Wade's (Dr. Ma). I had back to back surgery, one for each eye. That was two months of sporting what looking like a really bad sucker punch to the face! I went back to see Dr. Wade today for another follow up (two years since the operations). Again, he was professional and informative. There is something about his personality that will put you at ease. Be ready to wait a LONG time to get an appointment with Dr. Wade though. Yes he is THAT good!! his wait list can be a year long!!!

You walk up to the front to get registered and then you wait for your name to be called in for a quick eye pressure test and exam. Then you go back out and wait for your name to be called. Dr. Yu has two offices. I ended up going to the Coquitlam office because of the day of my appointment and follow-up. Dr. Yu is very knowledgeable and he solved my problem after seeing him. Note that you do need a referral to see Dr. Yu.

He said he would deal with me asap (on phone) Once ready to handle my situation -- he listened & answered all my questions thoroughly He offered very useful suggestions on some of my issues to do with poor eyesight on what I believe to be a faulty prescription from another large-scale optical chainstores. I liked his suggestions, relating to my need for Toric Contact lenses + eye glasses too. He offered to redo my eye exam, and I will do so this year. If you're on medical disability - not a problem being accepted. The eyewear on offer is stylish designer brand names similar to those seen in Holt Renfrew yet at reasonable prices that work within a limited budget. Jackson Go is very reserved, yet intelligent, thoughtful, considerate & good at what he does. He's really good about repairs or exchanging any flaw/ faulty things going on. He basically went through a checklist of common eye issues and provided clear feedback. Even diagnosed a type of dandruff along eyelash base which might finally explain a longstanding irritation that others brushed off. It's not a fancy clinic - more old school. But you also don't feel you're being "sold" anything - just really good traditional service. Plus he charged much less that other optometrist have in the past, instead billing MSP.

I do not know if he is taking anymore patients, as when I come here there are always people waiting around like a walk in clinic, which either tells me he is good, or that there is no one else to go to (which is defintely not the case!). He gives you real world solutions to problems and ailments so I am never afraid of going there. Not intimidating and he gets to know you, and in some ways he is the neighborhood doctor mentality. Fluent in English and Cantonese, I talk to him in both ways sometimes, and also if you need any shots or medications, he won't just prescribe it, but he looks at your situation and also ask if you have work coverage and to ask first if they cover, so he does think of things outside the box.
