No up selling, no nonsense, very honest. I would have normally taken my vehicle to my dealership, but I've lost all faith in the Service Dept., and the Tech in mis diagnosing causing me several hundred more dollars, as well as taking it elsewhere to find out it was just a bad battery and not the starter which the dealer missed and charged me for a new starter. Gateway, diagnosed and fix the issue in 4 hours. I highly recommend them. While not a big fancy facility, these gentlemen are honest, and fair. Excellent work!!!!

END UPDATE For years I have been able to rely on and trust the staff of Gateway Automotive. Today when my car died outside of the library I called the shop and Ryan assured me that if I towed it over they would take care of it so I did. I was immediately greeted by the staff and Ryan went straight to work. The problem was diagnosed and repaired in less than 2 hours. He was direct, accurate and incredibly helpful. I am grateful for his hard work. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I ALWAYS recommend this shop for the fact that they've never been wrong and have always been honest. Many times I've sent my friends to Gateway for second opinions and nearly every time their diagnosis was on point and way more affordable. It's hard to find an honest mechanic in this town... Gateway fills that need

I saw the reviews on Yelp about others saying they weren't getting a response back so I tried going in to the shop to talk to someone in person. Unfortunately this didn't make a difference. I spoke to someone at the front desk and he wrote down everything I was looking to fix on my 62 Nova. I was told I would get a call from someone within a few days. I waited 2 weeks and didn't hear from them. I figured I would give them a 2nd chance so I gave them a call and let them know I was waiting on a call back. They wrote down my number and told me someone would call me back. Another 1-2 weeks went by and still no call back. About 4 weeks in now and no signs of hearing back and no longer interested.

Even though it was after hours, Carlos was incredibly kind and told me to bring the car in right away. He welcomed me with a water bottle, reassured me that everything would be okay, and immediately helped me feel like I was in good hands. While I was there, I noticed he was also working on an Audi R8, which gave me even more confidence--clearly he knows his way around Audis. On Monday, he gave me a call to go over the repair estimate and mentioned another issue he noticed. He clearly explained everything and asked if I wanted to move forward. When the car was ready a few days later, he emailed me ahead of time with photos of the work and a detailed, itemized invoice. When I picked up the car, he walked me through exactly what he'd done and answered all my questions with patience and professionalism. Carlos went above and beyond to make a stressful situation feel easy and manageable. I truly felt taken care of.
