OT has that built in their work out program. Everyday is a different routine which is something that I need. The coaches here are amazing and are great motivators. The main workouts are cardio focused with some strength training. They have added lift classes which are focused on strength training. I like going to both of these classes. I would highly recommend this place especially if you are like me and need the motivation. If you are considering OT you should try a class.

The trainers are far superior to any in your local gym. I had a membership at Golds/One Life, a yoga studio, a small women's gym, and the Rec Centers over the years and the programing, training, and overall atmosphere of the Compound is immeasurably better. They unfroze it without my knowledge after a while, so I called to cancel my membership knowing that I would probably not get back to that area. I called and they said that I would have to either mail a letter saying that I want to cancel or come in. I now live over 1500 miles away and obviously can't come in. How is a letter any better than me calling? Why is cancelling a gym membership this difficult? The customer service here has always been mediocre at best.

I arrived 30 minutes prior to class to complete paperwork and receive the rundown on all of the equipment. Staff at checkin were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The lobby area along with the bathrooms and shower areas were super clean and tidy. Like many places, lockers are available for your personal belongings as well as hangers and coatracks. The class is HIIT which involves different exercises at various intervals. Half the class started on treadmills, while others began on the row machines or weights. 30+ minutes in we switched. The instructor was very welcoming and did a great job talking us through intervals and movements, along with keeping things high energy but not in an annoying way. My body is not used to HIIT so I had to take a few breathers, but made it through. All in all it was a positive experience.

They also asked me further questions, like my fitness goals, history, and health status. Walking into the studio for my complimentary Foundations Class was a little nerve wrecking only because I was the only one signed up for the class! However, my instructor Julia, made me feel comfortable that it was just her and I this evening. The Foundations Class is the initial class you should take before jumping into the three other classes they offer. I still got a full body workout with the initial class, my legs were still shaking from the intensity, I left sweaty, but I do not feel overworked. I left my Foundations Class with a new membership to Pure Barre! I'll be here 3x a week, hopefully - wish me luck with my fitness journey, y'all!
