In private sessions (which I am enjoying right now during the healing of my broken arm), she isolates the intended muscle(s) so no impact to the injured area. If you have not done any hot exercise (hot yoga, etc) in the past, you may not feel great after your first workout - but that's because the toxins are leaving your body! Bring plenty of water (in a closely container, no open straws!) and a towel. They provide special heat resistant mats for the isometric classes (Pilates, barre, yoga just to name a few), and also offer high intensity classes such as cycling or rowing. I had a great experience doing the barre class. There is a virtual instructor on the screen guiding you through the poses. You can also schedule your own sessions via the mobile app - it's very easy to either schedule solo visits or with up to 2 friends in the same class. Also a benefit: 24 hour access to members, to fit their individual needs. Definitely a great place to promote your health and sweat it out!

For the first time of my life I can see biceps in my arms!! (Sad, but true) All the instructors are upbeat, friendly, encouraging, and helpful when it comes to positioning the body correctly. The ONLY reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the studio the class is in does not accommodate tall people very well. While I know the ceiling cannot be raised so my hands don't touch it, the barre is a bit low and makes some exercises feel awkward.

There was about an 8-month period where I couldn't attend (due to "life,"), so for 8 months I paid the monthly fee thinking I'd start up again at some point and 8 months I paid them and didn't use anything I was paying for. After about 8 months I decided that at that time, I probably wasn't going to go back for a while. I was out of town on a trip when I called to cancel, and they would not cancel my membership over the phone. It was a lengthy trip, so I got charged an additional 2 months for a membership simply because I was in a completely different state and they would not cancel my membership over the phone or even just send me an email cancellation option. You'd think, since we are almost in 2020, that they could figure out a way to accommodate people who need to cancel via phone or email. No. I had to wait until I returned and could physically go in to cancel - absolutely ridiculous, and I was charged for an additional 3 months because of that. It has been almost a year, and this still makes me upset. I will never go back to this studio due to what I feel was extremely poor customer service. I understand they have this noted on their webpage -- you'd better make sure you read everything before you sign up with them, is all I can say. Personally, I find it ridiculous and I'll find another yoga studio. Other than this issue, I actually enjoyed this studio and I would have highly recommended them to anyone. But after that -- I'm sorry, but I don't understand why someone can not cancel over the phone or via email. It's a bit ridiculous to require someone to personally go in and cancel, especially if they are in a completely different state. What would have happened if I had moved and forgotten to cancel? Would they just keep charging me and I would have to purchase a plane ticket solely to come and cancel my membership in person? It's almost 2020, people -- time to get into the digital age.

People who work there for years disappear without any explanation and there have been many over the 4+ years I went there. It was OK (other than the monthly fee) until I asked to take a leave of absence for a month for a very personal issue. I was told I would have to "rejoin" when I returned at the $139 a month versus the $109 I was paying. This is extremely expensive. I found a new Yoga home and am saving so much money as well as practicing with a lot of true Yogis.

The first time I tried barre I went in thinking it was going to be easy but it's sneakily hard working out muscles you didn't even know you can work out. I brought my fiancé in who was surprised too! The more you do it, the more you can really focus on those small muscles so every class, no matter your level, makes you stronger. There are different formats that rotate through the schedule. The instructors are very helpful in correcting form, providing alternates if needed, & motivating you. Every class is judgement free with people of all different fitness levels ranging from those extra challenges to others doing the alternates due to recovery/limitations/etc. I've also ~accidentally~ done solo classes that was still very fun, motivating, & surprisingly not as awkward as you would think it would be I think I've done the most classes with Jade, Jillian, & Leslie but all the instructors are awesome. Something that I think stands out about PBNN specifically are the staff & events. I usually just do my workout & leave but the staff always greets you & makes you feel welcome. They all take the effort to learn everyone's names & it's always nice having conversations between/after classes. They also make sure to celebrate your class milestones (i.e. 10/50/100/etc). The studio also does a good amount of events including Book Club at the barre & a variety of classes at other locations in the area, which is fun to invite friends to come with.
