Loved my açai bowl. It was a huge portion. They have a patio in the back to sit and a cute spot to take pictures. The person working was very kind and fast with making our food.
Everyone here was so friendly and helpful. This was walking distance from where we stayed so it was very convenient. I tried a vanilla iced latte which was ok. There wasn't much flavor to it, but my friend tried their smoothie which was better.
Matcha Mama is a hidden gem highlight in a Tulum. It is a one woman show and she did an amazing job with our semi larger order. The matcha and coffee were delicious, and the food was so good too!! The place was small and very cute, I loved our experience here!

Changes were made on their exterior, it feels tighter now. I don't remember exactly what i got the first time but i had the matcha latte recently. Wait can be long but not so bad.

I tried two different smoothie bowls, the tropical punch bowl and the matcha colada bowl. Both were amazing but the matcha colada bowl holds a special place in my heart. Cant recommend this place enough!
Very yummy acai bowl place in Tulum! Located on the south beach strip, this super cute acai bowl healthy smoothie shop is perfect in the morning on a hot day in Mexico. Prices were a little bit expensive, but that's is pretty consistent in this area. Probably the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars. The shop itself is also really small, not many places to sit so be ready to grab and go if it is full!

ORDERED - matcha colada smoothie | 130 peso (~6.75 USD) STAFF it was a one-person show so be patient with them as this location gets busy. SEATING AREA cute set of swings in the front of the stand; behind that is a booth/table with limited seating; there are also bar stools available to sit and enjoy your order rather than doing take away. OVERALL my friends and i wanted something refreshing after brunch so we walked over to matcha mama since it was in the neighborhood. I ordered the MATCHA COLADA in smoothie form and it was good; not great. definitely expected more matcha flavor than anything, but it tasted like any other smoothie -- good, but nothing to go out of your way for.
Super cute and 'do it for the gram' spot in Tulum with a good variety on their menu. From fresh juices, smoothies, bowls and nice cream there is a lot to choose from. Went with a group and got a few things to try! Unfortunately, there weren't any fresh coconuts so we opted for the Chachandia which is Matcha and Watermelon juice, which tastes ... as you could imagine it tasting. Nothing phenomenal. The matcha nice cream was good, creamy, light and slight matcha flavor but not bad for it being nice cream. The açaí berry bowl was refreshing with fresh fruit and was perfect for the heat, good portion size as well in the cup. They accept cash or card. Price point is comparable to what you could get in CA, USA. So on the steep end. Cute photo op storefront with swings and located near many other eats and boutiques on the main road.

Im glad we actually went because the weather there was just so hot and we needed some shade and drinks to cool ourselves. it wasnt a crowded day so we got to spend some time there. Staff was good and efficient. They had lots on the menu but we just wanted a smoothie or iced drink. The Mango tango was really good! that shaved iced hit the spot as well as the right amount of sweetness and flavor. The Iced Chai Matcha Latte was good too but I actually enjoyed the Mango more. Didnt get to try the acai bowls but they looked wonderful. I definitely wanted to try the Nutty Monkey and charcoal Matcha, hopefully if we ever revisit.

Matcha Mama seems to be one of the trendy Instagram spots of Tulum, and I can totally see why with how cute it is! There are a couple locations: One near the beach and one in the center of town. We went to the central location, which was conveniently close to many different restaurants and hostels. You can either get an acai bowl here or a smoothie. They have a ton of fun flavors to try, and you can enjoy it while relaxing on one of their swings or comfy seating areas. It's the perfect refresher after basking in the humid Tulum heat!
The food was good but the time to get your actual drinks took a lot longer than normal. The decor was nice. Very cute for pictures
Matcha Mama won best smoothie of the whole trip for me, and I drank my way through a LOT of smoothies in Tulum. I stopped in on my actual birthday for the strawberry peanut butter oat milk smoothie.. creamy, a little salty-sweet, absolute perfection. I basically inhaled it. They have a big lineup of matcha drinks I didn't get to this time, so I am already planning my return just to work through the menu. Easy to bike to, adorable little spot, genuinely some of the best stuff I put in my body all week. read more

When planning our trip to Tulum I saw a lot of things about this place. Being a matcha lover already I had to try it! I personally loved it. It was a super hot day and we needed something to cool down so we both got smoothies. Mine was a matcha smoothie of course but my husband got one I think that had banana and chocolate in it. They were both delicious! The staff was nice. There is not a lot of places to sit but there is this super cute swing set up. There is also an iconic photo spot with the saying, "I love Tulum so Matcha" painted on a surf board. I will say it's nots cheap. The prices here are comparable to what we would see in New York. So expensive only in the sense that it's not typical Mexican pricing but I feel like that is true of all of Tulum since it is a very touristy area. read more
Cutesy little matcha spot located at the hotel zone. Decent priced and aesthetics were there however i did find my matcha to be a little to watery for my liking. The barista was kind and worked very fast. If you are in desperate need for matcha like I was, it is worth the visit. Other than that i do believe there is better matcha to be found in tulum. read more

Super good. They unfortunately didn't have smoothies as advertised on the menu, and the staff certainly could've been friendlier, but all that really mattered was that I got a delicious bowl of health. read more

The smoothies and bowls here are super refreshing and yummy. I like that they had a bunch of healthy add-ons. The area it's in is nice and it's easy to find parking. The girls there were helpful and made our order quick! I'd come back to try more :) read more
I hate to leave a bad review but the matcha drinks here did not have any matcha taste at all. We got a Matcha Latte with almond milk but it just tasted like almond milk. We also got the Matchattack but it just tasted like a regular cold brew. They were really nice though. We didn't have any change for the Matchattack so they accepted our $100 bill instead of $110. And I also appreciate their biodegradable straws. read more

The matcha here was pretty mid but it was a very cute and photogenic stop so I can't be too mad. Matcha was drinkable with sweetener, I probably wouldn't come back tho. Staff was really helpful read more

During our trip to Tulum we decided to go to this cute little spot. It has a bicycle rack in front of their store so you can easily see your items which is always nice. The employees were super nice & informative about their menu. The drinks were great and came out fast. read more

THE BIG: Hatcha Matcha Mama. This place is a instagram haven. THE BLACK AND WHITE: The bae and I came here on our way up to the resort from our adventure around the yucatan peninsula and stopped by Matcha Mama on the way. This little tiny shop and its swings and matcha puns are a perfect mesh of everything that should go on instagram. To confirm, I did see a lot of people taking photos and almost immediately uploading it onto instagram. The bae ordered the matcha colada bowl, which came out beautifully adorned with kiwis, bananas, flax and coconut. I got the matcha ice cream scoop which came in a cute coconut bowl and eco friendly bamboo spoon. Both were delicious...and nutritious! Good note: there is parking! Granted only one parking spot. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Ultimately the damage done was 230 pesos for a bowl of ice cream and the matcha colada bowl. Super delicious and definitely recommend...even if it is for the gram. read more

Fruit bowls were beautifully presented. Now taste on the other hand was just ok. It didn't leave us wanting to go back for more. I actually expected better since all the other reviews had me excited but unfortunately did not deliver. Speaking of delivery, service is very slow too so expect to wait a while before getting your order. read more
My friends and I each tried a different variety of their acai bowls and we all loved them! I also got the iced matcha with coconut milk and although I'm typically not a huge coconut milk person, this one was really good! It's right across from the beach so you can grab your food and drinks and enjoy it at the beach or one of their super cute instagrammable swings that are at the bar top. Definitely don't forget to snap some cute pics here! read more

My bf and I made a quick pit stop here driving down the Tulum Hotel Zone. I was craving a smoothie bowl and this place was one of the only spots with a mini parking lot! Line was a bit long getting our orders in and to pay, but we only had to wait about 3 minutes for our orders! The staff was very kind and made great recommendation. On the plus side, they take visas and you can swing by the stand while you wait. Matcha Ice Cream: The ice cream came out half melted, but flavors were amazing! You could really taste the matcha and a hint of coconut. I would recommend getting it again. Matcha Colada Bowl: Other reviews complained about the price and wait times, but I think these smoothie bowls are worth it. The matcha smoothie was very refreshing and not overly sweet. Again, matcha flavor was present and amazing. The toppings paired perfectly with the smoothie! The only thing I didn't like was how hard the raisin got from sitting in the smoothing bowl. Otherwise, this definitely cooled me down from sitting in the hot, humid sun. The ice cream was 50 pesos and bowl was 180. Overall, this insta-perfect place will cool anyone down and fill you with yummy fruits! read more
Instagram famous. Found this place by accident after I found parking for the beach. Realized everyone was snapping photos on the swings. Really cute setting and picture perfect. Açaí bowls, fruit bowls and smoothies. American prices. Maybe ever higher than. They also have cbd products at American prices. Cannot seat or serve more than 8 at a time. Refreshing but no wow factor. Reminds me of a boutique Jamba Juice. Really awkward when everyone is taking selfies and waiting for you to finish your smoothie so they can sit on a swing. Does take a little bit for smoothies to be made. read more

The ice cream was not quite as good as I had hoped, but I love that you can chop from many top! I opted for peanut butter, coconut, and cocoa chips. They let me use my own Tupperware for the ice cream. Save the earth! Also their power balls are awesome. I really liked the matcha flavor. And they have their own brand of kombucha! read more
Highly recommend visiting matcha mama during your morning on the tulum beach before heading out to the ocean. We arrived slightly before the posted open hours on yelp and were served right away. We both got a matcha drink and I got the smoothie bowl and my bf the smoothie of the day. They were friendly, easy to chat with and had menus handy for us to look over. The açaí bowl was delicious and i had peanut butter for an added benefit of protein. It was just the right amount for a good solid breakfast. It's an Instagram photo worthy destination with the health kick you need in the morning. read more

Cute little matcha shop in Tulum! There is more than one location, and this one is a little trickier with lighting for swing pictures, but they can still end up aesthetically pleasing. There is a variety of choices with and without matcha. I ordered the MATCHA HORCHATA and loved it! Like most things in Mexico, it was very affordable. I already got my pictures here, but I'd totally visit again if I were in Tulum again. read more

Busy little place but worth the wait! Fresh juices and bowls made upon ordering. I got a cocoa matcha which tasted exactly how I wanted it - super refreshing after our run. My hubby got the nutty monkey with cafe shots in it - he said it was the best (and he's extremely picky ha!). The lady working there is a hard worker and juggling everyone's orders by herself. The vibe is really chill as there's swings for chairs - very cute little spot. read more

This place is insta famous and while the pictures are super cute, the fresh food is even better. The açaí bowl I had here was easily the best bowl I ever had! My fiancé got a fresh coconut that was completely unreal. Easily the best we had while we were in Mexico! When you're walking along tulum road, the place is small so you might miss it if you're not looking super closely but trust me, you've got to visit them at least once while you're in tulum! Luckily for us there wasn't a crowd when we went but they got busy as soon as we had our food read more
YUMMM- go here for the fresh food and drinks, stay for the instagramable vibe. I got the Berry Acai bowl which was awesome with some coconut nuts and bananas on top. So delish and fresh. I also got a matcha latte-I was glad they had alternative milks (I got oat) and the Gin Gin juice which was great just as I was starting to get a cold. I feel like it helped. I'm a huge fan of a LOT of ginger, so don't complain if it's too strong for you. They also had "power balls" that look soooo good, but I was so full after this meal, so I'll have to come back The ladies were sweet and the decor was adorable with swings and painted walls galore. LOVED this place. We ended up going back and getting a smoothie bowl on another day. They have a variety of smoothie bowls, and between the group I was with, I got to try them all. They were all great. I liked that some of them even had matcha blended within them. They had fresh ingredients within each bowl, and I enjoyed the crunchy ingredients that were topped on each bowl. The seeds on top of the bowls were different but good. They are completely vegan, so they only had coconut and almond milk if you wanted a matcha latte. I prefer cow's milk in my matcha lattes, so it was different to get almond milk, but I respect their vegan mission. They have 2 more locations within downtown tulum if that's more where you are located. read more

I will say that this place is definitely overhyped only because of social media. It's got the the iconic "I love tulum so matcha" board outside that everyone on social media recognizes. And that's exactly the reason why I came lol. I ordered the mamacita in a bowl. Have I had a better bowl before? A thousand percent. The bowl was good but definitely not something that's a must have when visiting Tulum although I will say that it was indeed refreshing on a humid summer day. read more
