We stopped at La Pebeta for breakfast on our last day in Tulum. We walked to the restaurant since we stayed in the La Veleta neighborhood. I really liked the setup, and since we arrived right when they opened, there were not that many people at the restaurant. We had a very attentive server who checked on us and cleaned the table several times. We ordered the Media Luna sandwich, the oatmeal, the mini hot cakes, and the scrambled eggs. My oldest son really liked the mini hot cakes, from the presentation to the taste. My youngest ordered the oatmeal and really enjoyed it. My wife had the scrambled eggs and was not impressed. I had the Media Luna sandwich and wasn't really impressed either. We ordered coffee, hot chocolate, and a cappuccino. The drinks were the largest servings we had in Tulum so far. La Pebeta is a good, not great, option for breakfast if you are in the area. read more

Second time in Tulum, and I'm delighted to have had breakfast here. I had the tostadas vegano sandwich with avocado toast, which was super fresh. You have to appreciate foods that aren't processed like in the states; anyway, the service was good, and the decor was very Tulum. I highly recommend this breakfast spot. read more

First time at LA PEBETA, and it did not disappoint! We started with complementary pastries and we each got a flavored frappe, a Chai and Mocha, both tasted great. The pastries were light, airy and packed with flavor! See my photos. I ordered the chivito sandwich based on the waiters recommendation. It was a fresh made banquette, packed with flank steak, ham, cheese, lettuce , peppers and onions, topped with a fried egg. It was cooked perfect and very well seasoned, I would come back for it! My wife had the Pebeta Mortello. It was very good on a fresh baguette. The flavor of the cheese and bean was a little plain. I would add maybe some ham next time. We requested the side of chiliquiles with green salsa. They were really good. The sauce was packed with flavor but not too spicy. Check this place out for a coffee, breakfast or lunch! read more

Just a quick check-in review today. Still delicious and good value (for the area). The Chivita Sandwich has now made it to my top 5 sandwiches of all time. We stopped here for a quick bite before taking on the day. Service was great, they had a couple of dogs hanging around (always a favorite for me), and the empanada and sandwich we ordered were tasty. It was raining out but we were able to eat under a covered awning. Parking was available outside, unlike many other places in the area. read more

Fantastic Argentinian restaurant and bakery located in the La Valeta area! When you arrive at the space, its a nice set up outside and limited inside seating. Once you sit down you are greeted with some pastries that are amazing! The menu is diverse with local, Argentinian, and American food offerings. Also different juices, smoothies and coffee. Great spot for brekkie. Staff were really friendly and food was SO GOOD! No it doesn't come out in 10-15 minutes but if you want your food fresh and tasty then the time it might take during busy periods to get it is worth the wait. We had ham and egg hash and the mini pancakes, coffee and juice. Their dolce de leche is insane. Not overtly sweet but has such a good flavour to it. Hubby tried their spicy sauce (I think it was like a chimchurri style with habanero) and it was amazing. Wish we'd found this place sooner on our trip. Definitely recommend. read more

Please don't waist your time going to this place ! Way over priced for the quality of food ! They make you wit approx 30 min for breakfast and arrives cold !!! On top of that they served an old piece of salmon taste was horrible . Once your half way done with your cold food they bring the coffee "oh sry too many people" do not recommend to go here so many places to go in Tulum with great food but this is not one of them ... read more

Gosh...where do I start. We have been here multiple times in our travels to Tulum. The first time we tried La Pebeta was in Aldea Zama. They have recently moved to another location in Tulum Puebla which is a great little spot off the main road. So we decided to try La Pebeta in Lavalleta. I'm so glad we did! From the moment we walked up, it felt like we were being greeted by family. I have never had an experience from such a great group of people in all of my travels. Marcos and his friend ( forgive me because I can't remember your name) not only took care of us but engaged in conversation and even helped us with our Spanish. If you are looking for a spot that has amazing food but also makes you feel very welcome, this is DEFINITELY the spot for you. We tried to branch out to the competition, but you really can't beat their friendly service, good food, great baked goods and wide selection of dishes. Came back multiple times, even though it's 20 minutes from the beach hotels. Setting is not beautiful- just benches on the sidewalk of a back street, but it's still a pleasant experience. read more

We stopped on a whim and came back three times afterwards! Their coffee, breakfast, and PASTRIES are out of this world (try the dulce de leche and membrillo). We loved their pastries so much we grabbed a bag for our flight back. The staff are incredibly pleasant and friendly, which made us feel very welcome.
