Better off going to the one in city centre or anywhere else due to the choice of men's clothing is very limited, not unless your looking for a cheap suit. read more

Brenda Muir is yet another classy high end women's clothing store on Hyndland Road. Conveniently…read moreplaced just a few doors up from Solo, Jasmine, Rage and Daniel Shoes - why not make a trip out of it?! Brenda Muir is quite a compact shop - but you'll still find a great selection of outfits. Like many of the other clothing shops along Hyndland Road, it is aimed at women of 30/40+, but that doesn't stop me from heading in and having a browse through some really chic tailored clothing. As well as the clothing, at Brenda Muir you'll also find a dazzling selection of costume jewellery and pashmina scarves of almost every colour. This is a great shop to visit if you're looking for some sophisticated workwear.

I think it stock items for most budgets. Please don't be influenced by the last review and go and see for yourself. Going to this shop always cheers me up and they never object if you browse and don't buy. I'm from Edinburgh and they alwasy welcome me back.

Inside you'll find a great selection of shoes, clothes and accessories. The clothes take a bit of a back seat to the shoes and accessories - but that is no bad thing. Their selection of handbags is gorgeous, and encompasses all from sparkly clutch bags to full totes. At the moment they have a rainbow of different colours in - which is great to see. Do you know what else? All bags are priced at £30 or less. Bargain! The shoes are just as lovely and just as reasonably priced. Again, a great selection from ugg-style fashion boots to sky high heels and gladiator sandles. The owner, Sarah, is really friendly and will greet you the moment you walk in the door. Also, if you don't want to make the trek down to Dumbarton Road - you can shop via their online store.

I am normally a size 8 in most stores-this dress fitted like a peplum top! When sending back the items I made sure this was done within 14 days and have a receipt to prove this. Honey Boutique advised they have not received it within 14 days so I will not be entitled to a refund and they will take a 20% restocking fee! Total joke. They will not accept my proof of postage and advised that I should contact Royal Mail for the refund of £60. I would avoid ordering from Honey Boutique, never had these problems with any online orders from other companies. Currently going through Citezens advise who are assisting me in taking it further and have advised me I am entitled to full refund as I did cancel within the 14 day cooling off period. Have read lots of reviews on other sties about the hassle with trying to get a refund from this company. Nightmare!

I'd say that the clothes sold in Solo would appeal more to ladies age 40+ - but there are plenty of exceptions to this rule, so it's definitely worth having a look anyway. The staff are really friendly and service is obviously a huge priority in this shop. Although it can be a little pricey in Solo - they do have significant reductions in the sales. So keep an eye out for the big red stickers if the shop is normally a little out of your budget!

Once inside Jasmine, you might think that everything looks a bit jumbled. Don't let this put you off, though, as it's just because there are so many clothes on offer that they all overlap a little! You'll find clothing ranging from cosy knitwear to party dresses, so it is worth having a bit of a rummage. Also in Jasmine you'll find a great costume jewellery range. I saw some really unusual pieces that would make great gifts (either for other people or yourself....). You'll also find a wide range of hats, scarves, gloves, belts and bags at Jasmine. The owner of the shop is friendly and more than happy to help find whatever you're looking for. Definitely worth a look!

Now, I have to admit that I'd never been in here before as I'd assumed that it was a shop for older people. Within the first 10 seconds I realised how wrong I'd been when I spotted Vero Moda (one of my favourite brands) and then some French Connection - what have I been missing all this time?! Their range is actually probably more suited to women in their 30s-40s and they have some really great stuff, so much so I am definitely treating myself to a full-on shopping session here soon. The prices are what you'd expect for these kinds of brands, and they're having a sale just now. It's all women's clothes and accessories and they have a good range for the size of the shop. I'm definitely kicking myself for overlooking it all this time!

It's women's clothing and seems to be kinda pricey - dresses for £100+ but I do have to admit, they seem to be high quality and classy kinds of clothes, so I can see who they're marketing towards. High powered real estate ladies, I think. Or along those lines, anyway. I'm not saying that's bad, it's just not my style so I wouldn't shop here. The shop assistant working was really friendly though, so I was made to feel perfectly welcome which was nice. As well as clothes, they had a nice range of handbags so maybe I'd go back for those.
