They…read moregave us the address and we headed over after spending more than an hour loading furniture and items into the trailer. This was also after staying up until 1AM arranging furniture, fixtures, tools, hardware and other goods into the garage to load up in the morning to be donated. We drove 45 mins there, just to have to drive 45 mins back, BECAUSE, after arriving they told us they were NOT taking donations today! The girls manner in which she apprised me, to inform me that they were NOT taking donations was a bit off putting. It's very disappointing, since we even gave them a courtesy call and they gave us the go ahead, wasted our time, gas/mileage and energy by my having us come into town just to make us turn around. And this review mainly falls upon the poor customer service after I received no expression of regret, no apology, no indifference, even after I explained the inconvenience they had caused me, as the girl returned to her chit chatting and small talk with her coworker with zero concern. I will not be returning and in the end it is the stores loss... The wardrobe we broke our backs loaded up, sells between $3,000-8,000 on first dibs, the same antique French radio cabinet is listed on Cherish for $1,650, the antique barrister cabinets (5 shelves) typically sell between $1,000-$5,000 and the same exact antique Victorian plated door knobs (set of 6) sells for $150-$300 EACH online. We loaded up several boxes full of power tools and hand tools, a work bench, a sleigh bed from Kathy Kuo, an antique wood trunk, several light fixtures and other pieces from West Elm and Rejuvenation, in like new condition, a leather loveseat, a rocker with ottoman, a few boxes of unused tiles, a decent sizes marble slab, sink, and other misc items and supplies I felt were beneficial to this store and it's cause. However, after this type of customer service, and inconvenience, I feel very discouraged in ever returning. Someone even recommended we take our items to an antique store to consign instead and that may be a better option.

What started off as a good experience turned sour. Another electric supply company referred me to…read moreNCE when they didn't have an item on our list that we needed. I was given a written quote via email within minutes and happy to give them our business, especially being local. Later that day, we stopped by both supply companies we had spoken to because neither of them had all three items we needed, and NCE had two of the three. Happy, we purchased, turned the items over to our contractor and went on our merry little way. Fast forward post 4' trench being dug with equipment, wires all run, filled in, D1 delivered, spread, compacted and preparing to move forward with hooking up electrical... Only to find out NCE cut the wrong gauge of grounding wire and it will not work for our installation. 80' of the wrong wire purchased and buried. (Mind you, we were quoted and paid for the correct gauge, but their quality control failed and they gave us the incorrect size.) Of course this is discovered over the holiday weekend now and it has to be completed in order to move forward with other contractors on Monday, so we have to buy the correct item at a big box store, spend more than twice as much, along with hand digging a trench that's even longer than the original due to the driveway already being completed. After contacting NCE over the telephone, they say to 'bring it back for a refund', not understanding that it's buried 4' underground. Photos of the wire taken and emailed per their request and they're willing to refund part of it, basically the cost difference between the incorrect and correct gauge. So still, charging us full price for their screw up. Lame! Lame customer service and lame response to their screw up that cost us way more in the end and definitely won't be returning in the future for electrical supplies.
