Because those high-demand teachers are often requested a week in advance, it can be difficult to book them last minute. Most teachers are good and will ensure you understand the material, especially if you come prepared with specific questions. With the strongest instructors, you're thoroughly covered. They make sure their explanations are clear and detailed, and they check for understanding. With the less effective teachers, you may need to advocate for yourself more and do additional work independently to get your doubts resolved. Math instruction here is a particular strength!!Shout-out to my goat Victor, his guidance helped me ace a Pre-Calculus test I was convinced I was going to die during. On SAT prep specifically: after attending both Elite and C2 bootcamps, I personally no longer believe SAT prep courses are even worth it. just get good at desmos bro, you don't need to even know math to do well (as someone who scored 1500). If you are set on doing a bootcamp however, C2 was by far the better experience between the two. For college applications, I would not recommend spending your hours here. While they offer college-app help, in my experience they're not especially attuned to what admissions offices prioritize, nor do they try to research it at all. You'll likely get more value from the excellent (and free) resources available on YouTube. That said, their writing + ELA support for school is fine so dw about that. MADE coffee is almost right next door and I love getting coffee before I go in Saturday mornings, that is a mega plus. overall, I really like coming here and it has saved my butt multiple times. the community of it all is wonderful and they make you feel encouraged no matter what. I'm someone who has to engage with a topic multiple times to understand something, so often I feel pretty stupid when I go to other places for tutoring help, but I never feel like that at all here! The only benefits I saw, at the time, were 'shortcuts' to answering questions on the SAT and the one on one college counseling / essay writing with Julian Chou. Everything else felt like a waste of my time. I came to summer boot camps to make friends, some of whom I still keep in touch with. Looking back, all of that went a long way. Sure, some might argue it's not worth the money but it really depends on how the student takes advantage of all the resources. I certainly didn't take advantage of all of them but all the instructors are specialized in specific subjects and are quite knowledgeable. Some of these instructors already have full time jobs yet they take their time during or outside of Elite classes to help students. If you can study independently, props to you but most high school students can't. I couldn't. And in this way, Elite was very helpful, using both former and original test questions to evaluate how you'd score on a real test. I enjoyed all my teachers (few whom I still keep in touch with) and the staff, yes they were mean. They were too direct and condescending. However in retrospect, considering how annoying I must've been, imagine that multiplied with hundreds more. Elite wants their students to take practice tests as if it's the real setting. You can't talk, text, or cheat and you shouldn't fall asleep. I attended Elite about 10 years ago. I wasn't close to a 2400 nor did I get into an Ivy League. But considering what I've achieved since then, I can't thank them enough for prepping me for that very first step to 'adulthood': college.

At the beginning, we were invited to a group chat with teachers and staff, where responses were prompt and communication felt excellent - a major reason we chose the program. Regrettably, this responsiveness faded after a few months, with far more messages left unread or ignored than addressed. Additionally, we received no detailed academic updates about my son's progress throughout his entire time there. Teachers barely greeted you when picking up a child. Maybe this is the norm, but as a Korean mom who attended Korean hagwons (after school programs) before, in addition to being a teacher at an after-school program myself for five years in the past, this felt a bit rude and very unwelcoming. My son can have challenging behaviors, something I was transparent about from day one. I do appreciate that the staff worked with him over the months. However, after his dismissal in April, the lack of communication became especially concerning. I have followed up multiple times about the prorated refund for the unused portion of April's tuition and clarification on the refundable status of the enrollment deposit. Despite this, Grace, the program manager, has not responded since April. I gave her two months before writing this review. Additionally, when I directly asked Grace whether news of his dismissal had been shared with other parents, she assured me it had not. That said, I have since sensed uncomfortable vibes from certain parents whose children are in the same class, leading me to wonder if information was shared after all (my gut feeling tells me it has, because what are the chances? Timing is too coincidental). Regardless of the reason for dismissal, families deserve transparent billing, timely financial resolution, and basic professional courtesy. Being left in the dark after months is both surprising and disheartening. This has been a very negative, unwelcoming, and unprofessional experience. This place cannot be trusted. I would strongly advise other families to look elsewhere.

A Very Positive Experience!…read more I was able to do a free trial day here. The first thing I experienced was the vibe. The school is very upbeat and the vibe is amazing. It is something you pretty much have to experience yourself and describing it in a review is somewhat difficult. The school is cheerful and stimulating and flows with a very positive feeling. The teachers are proactive and there is very open communication. The campus is very well maintained and the atmosphere is a notch or two above ecxellence. I received two emails during the day with updates. When I picked up the little one she expressed her enjoyment and talked the entire way home about her activities and the friends she made. By far, my two favorite things include the enjoyment of my little one and the open and detailed communication with the teachers. The area has a good school district. But, if you are like me, you want more than "good" for your kids. We all want the best! Definately a place to check out if you are looking for school for the kids. Our family chose to keep our daughter here after starting at the preschool and we have no regrets…read more In fact, the transition has been seamless and as a parent who works long hours, it gives me tremendous comfort to know that my child is in a safe and loving environment. My husband and I were hesitant to enroll at a private school because we were public education kids ourselves and the public schools locally aren't shabby; however, a couple things about this school stand out that make the investment here completely worth it for us include: 1) The class size can't be beat. The individual attention and adjustment to each child to challenge and support to their needs is possible because of this and we see it in how they are able to engage with our daughter and watch her develop. 2) We really appreciate the ability to customize our engagement at the school. By this, I mean that if we feel there are concerns or ideas about topics to explore or cultural activities or holidays to celebrate, the principal and teachers allow us to come up with ways to see what may be possible to share. So it's not just about volunteering for class trips, but doing hands on activities and presentations in collaboration with the teachers. Last year, I volunteered to do a presentation on the Lunar New Year, for example, with another parent. We love that we have a community here or fellow loving, active and engaged parents. 3) We love that they look at ways to educate to new ways of learning and have tools available that prepare students for the future. Not only do they incorporate technology (like having iPads for each student and a blog program for kindergarteners), but also teach things like civic engagement through campus wide elections for class representatives, and community service projects where the whole family can volunteer. To be balanced, one thing to consider is that while there are advantages to a small class size, it does mean there is limitation to student interactions to a broad swath of students which can serve to keep varying experiences in perspective; after all, the real world is far from this safe bubble. Having said that, overall, we are very happy, and I have to acknowledge that in addition to the aforementioned, the stellar staff and teachers genuinely care and know each of the children here, are accessible, and are loved by my child. The comfort in knowing this is where she is for such a large part of her day truly is priceless.
