Our nephew used Mr. Aditya Ahuja from Kumar Education for college counseling and for college applications. We really didn't understand the whole process and wanted someone to hold our hand through the whole thing - so we could essentially close our eyes and skip this whole nightmare of applications and essays. Accepted to Stanford and MIT - we are happy. Thank you. read more

We tried multiple local and national college admission counselors before finding Kumar Education. We worked with Mr. Rohit Kumar fully online and made a few in-person visits to his office as well. The experience was "white glove". We felt fully taken car of the whole time. As first generation Americans we really did not understand what colleges were looking for - starting early with Mr. Rohit K was a lucky move by us. Admitted to Berkeley, Caltech, Technical University of munich, and National university of Singapore. read more

Through the guidance of Mr. Kumar, my son was admitted to highly competitive universities such as UCLA and UC Berkeley. Before working with him, we faced significant challenges navigating the college application process due to our lack of experience. However, through his help he not only helped us understand the process but ensured that my son was able to collect and present his strengths in the most effective way possible. We are extremely grateful for his help since this is a very vital part in my child's journey read more

When my son was in middle school, we had Mr. Kumar train and help him in overcoming his fears of public speaking. Not only was he able to get rid off the stutters, he was able to win some debate competitions under Mr. Kumar's guidance. Speaking in front of crowds and doing presentations in school became an easy thing for him . Mr. Kumar also helped him with the SAT/ ACT prep and his essay writing skills. My son scored 35/36 overall on ACT , 36/36 on both English and reading portion. He scored 5/5 on both AP Eng languages and AP Eng literature. It was under Mr. Kumar's training, he was accepted to all the UC colleges and is currently attending UC Berkeley on the pre-med track. We just can't thank Mr. Kumar enough for giving him the skills that he'll carry through for the rest of his life! read more

Mr. Kumar did a great job writing and preparing the college applications for my sister. He wrote all the essays, told us which extracurriculars to use, and picked different majors at different schools. We were very happy with the results and the service. We used Mr. Kumar's counseling and application writing services for my younger brother's graduate school application. He devised the overall strategy, wrote the application essays, and decided which professor letter of recommendations would be best. There is no way we could have completed this difficult process without him. And we were very happy with the grad school offer letters my brother received. Thanks again for the amazing service and attention to detail. read more

I've known Rohit for years he's good at a lot of things, but he is particularly gifted communicator. He has a track record that begins in high school of being a regional debate champion and he has continued to use his communication skills to educate and inspire others. He has spoken in front of the US House of Representatives and Senate about environmental issues, in addition to writing many thought pieces about the subject. I'm so happy that he is using his gifts to teach others, by improving their confidence and speaking skills. I have seen him be a great mentor and teacher to his many students (mostly in the Bay Area), but he's looking to relocate down here. I would highly recommend his services to anyone who wants to improve on their communication skills. read more

Excellent tutor for SAT Test. Multiple friends in my circle have used Mr. Kumar for SAT Prep and we all highly recommend him. Really, to do well on the SAT, you can't be in a 20 person class like Kaplan, Princeton Review, etc. Mr. Kumar did a class with only 3 people in it and sometimes 1 on 1. This was the best way to prepare for the SAT. read more

I have used Rohit twice for college admissions counseling for both of my daughters. He helped us formulate the college essays and also guided us with choice schools, majors, locations etc. He himself was admitted to the Ivy League schools. He knows the whole process that's involved for getting into top universities, in terms of creating the resume that those types of schools want to see. I needed to use someone like him for my daughters and we had a fantastic experience. It made the whole college process a lot more easy for me and I am very thankful to him. read more

I am not a native speaker. I would get last place everytime I did debate. I just thought that I couldn't get better. Rohit taught me many skills and lessons. With practice, I improved significantly. I even got first place in last two out of three rounds. The one round where I didn't place first was because the judge caught me sleeping during someone else's speech. (I was practicing late into the night the skills that Rohit taught me.) read more

I was looking for help to better communicate my various strengths to mostly tech employers while looking for a job. Although an Economics grad from UCSC I am naturally shy and realized if I was unable to establish repoire and communicate my value to interviewers, landing the job I actually wanted was going to be extremely difficult. Rohit helped me to refine my elevator pitch, speak effectively and think strategically. I now get paid to do what I love and still utilize Rohit's business mentoring services on an ongoing basis. read more

Ro was excellent in coaching my son and daughter in their debate tournaments. He got rid of their public speaking fears and a lot of the filler words that plague younger speakers. I would highly recommend anybody (doesn't have to be in competition) take up lessons from Ro because he gives a do-able plan to help improve public speaking skills. read more

As a self-employed community educator, communication skills are very important in my field. I hired Rohit as a public speaking coach, and he was really great to work with. He is really motivational and is an inspiring teacher. After several sessions I have the confidence I need to talk about my work with the general public. He has a great background - we both graduated from UC Berkeley at the same time although we did not know each other then. I would highly recommend his services to anyone! read more

Rohit's ability and command of language is extensive. He is stellar with helping others gain the necessary skills to write convincing points and arguments, and he is truly exceptional in teaching speech, and debate. He takes anyone with keen interest in these topics and gives them a whole round of language and speech toolsets set of practices, in order to make them better writers and fantastic debaters. He is great and readily accessible in passing skills to individual or small and large groups. Happy to have gotten help by Rohit, and Rohit's academy! read more

Rohit is a great coach and tutor. He has a unique skill set and a patient demeanor which has allowed him to excel in debate at Berkeley and Stanford law. When my nephew was looking for a debate coach Rohit instantly came to mind based on his experience. He is always timely, responsive, professional and firm with his students. He mixes the right amount of encouragement with feedback to create a comforting environment that allows his students to develop into excellent debaters and lifelong communicators. Ro Kumar coached me through two types of speech for my Southern California Debate League tournament. We worked on impromptu speech and Foreign Extemporaneous speech. The coaching I received and the tips that I learned helped me get 1st place in both categories. I highly recommend Ro Kumar for any speech and debate coaching and for public speaking in general. read more

I hired him to help my kids prepare for a speech contest at their school. They are bright kids, but the school's teacher has to deal with 30 kids so they don't get much one-on-one feedback. A neighbor of mine in Brookvale, referred me to Rohit Kumar of Kumar Academy. I scheduled 4 sessions with him to see how he could help them. I am very happy with the result. He helped them organize their thoughts, then he worked with them on their delivery. I know if I had the time, I could have also helped them but that's my problem. I don't have the time, and I needed someone qualified and trustworthy to spend with my kids. Rohit is extremely qualified with years of experience in coaching public speaking. read more

Rohit is a fantastic teacher. It's rare to find someone with his background and education and I was lucky to find him at such a pivotal time in my career. As an Engineer, communication is not a skill which is often taught, but one which is incredibly valuable for anyone in the workforce. It is an integral skill to moving up any hierarchal ladder. Rohit's teaching helped me progress my career and surpass my peers. I'd recommend his teaching services to anyone, of any age or experience level! Given his patience and ability to teach a newbie like me, I can see how well his teaching would translate to tutoring younger kids or high school age students too! read more
