A Very Positive Experience! I was able to do a free trial day here. The first thing I experienced was the vibe. The school is very upbeat and the vibe is amazing. It is something you pretty much have to experience yourself and describing it in a review is somewhat difficult. The school is cheerful and stimulating and flows with a very positive feeling. The teachers are proactive and there is very open communication. The campus is very well maintained and the atmosphere is a notch or two above ecxellence. I received two emails during the day with updates. When I picked up the little one she expressed her enjoyment and talked the entire way home about her activities and the friends she made. By far, my two favorite things include the enjoyment of my little one and the open and detailed communication with the teachers. The area has a good school district. But, if you are like me, you want more than "good" for your kids. We all want the best! Definately a place to check out if you are looking for school for the kids. Our family chose to keep our daughter here after starting at the preschool and we have no regrets. In fact, the transition has been seamless and as a parent who works long hours, it gives me tremendous comfort to know that my child is in a safe and loving environment. My husband and I were hesitant to enroll at a private school because we were public education kids ourselves and the public schools locally aren't shabby; however, a couple things about this school stand out that make the investment here completely worth it for us include: 1) The class size can't be beat. The individual attention and adjustment to each child to challenge and support to their needs is possible because of this and we see it in how they are able to engage with our daughter and watch her develop. 2) We really appreciate the ability to customize our engagement at the school. By this, I mean that if we feel there are concerns or ideas about topics to explore or cultural activities or holidays to celebrate, the principal and teachers allow us to come up with ways to see what may be possible to share. So it's not just about volunteering for class trips, but doing hands on activities and presentations in collaboration with the teachers. Last year, I volunteered to do a presentation on the Lunar New Year, for example, with another parent. We love that we have a community here or fellow loving, active and engaged parents. 3) We love that they look at ways to educate to new ways of learning and have tools available that prepare students for the future. Not only do they incorporate technology (like having iPads for each student and a blog program for kindergarteners), but also teach things like civic engagement through campus wide elections for class representatives, and community service projects where the whole family can volunteer. To be balanced, one thing to consider is that while there are advantages to a small class size, it does mean there is limitation to student interactions to a broad swath of students which can serve to keep varying experiences in perspective; after all, the real world is far from this safe bubble. Having said that, overall, we are very happy, and I have to acknowledge that in addition to the aforementioned, the stellar staff and teachers genuinely care and know each of the children here, are accessible, and are loved by my child. My daughter started preschool at AMA and at the time, private school was not an option. Since the first day she entered Kindergarten at our home school for elementary, I felt she took a huge step back. She went into Kinder knowing how to add already. I felt like she often got lost in the large class size of 28. I felt that she wasn't challenged or stimulated and was often bored. The extent of the challenge she had from Kinder-2nd grade was the spelling words that were given at the beginning of the week; of which she always got 100%. She was at the local elementary school for Kinder-2nd when I decided to pull her out a few weeks before 3rd grade started. Since we started at AMA, I decided to tour the elementary campus. Upon my tour, I really liked what I saw and I also had a history with this school and was super happy with out her preschool education went. This is her 2nd year in the Multi-Age Class and I can't say enough how much she has grown academically and personally. It use to be such a struggle to get her to write, and in her first year, her teacher told me how she wrote 10 pages, 5 pages above the min requirement. Her creativity has skyrocketed and her math skills have grown exponentially. In fact, a couple of months ago, she told me her high of the day was when her teacher gave her an extra math worksheet. I was shocked, and I asked her why. She replied, "I felt special because no one else got one". What 9 year old wants extra work? She not only does her 4th grade work, but she gets an extra worksheet that contains multi step problems that challenge her. The fact that her teacher goes above and beyond to reach each kid's personal educational skills is incredible. She is constantly getting stimulated and challenged at her new school. In fact, as a 3rd grade, she read 2 novels. She read Bud, not Buddy and The Island of the Blue Dolphins and is finishing up with Flutter. In her first year there, there class won a special award that was recognized at the OC Fairgrounds for their production of a play they created. Her and a couple of classmates won a Stem award for their project they created. She has won a red ribbon aware for an art project that her teacher submitted. There are so many additional support for the students academically. They have amazing reading and math programs, something that my daughter loves to do. There is no comparison with what she is getting here at AMA vs her other school. What many people don't realize is that elementary education is the foundation for future success. I believe with a solid foundation, she will be set for success in her future. I also love the relationships she has developed at her new school. They have such a close relationship with each other and are taught from an early age to resolve their problems instead of reporting their issues. She is on the same soccer team as 3 of her classmates. I honestly feel like we are family there with the relationships that I have developed with the parents. I never was able to develop that at her other school. One other thing that I love is Homework Club. She does ALL her homework there after school so I never have to worry about it. There is always some checking her HW. However, I do check her HW when she gets home so that I am aware with what she's learning at school. This relieves a lot of stress since she is in a lot of extracurricular activities. At her old school, they had day care, and HW was optional and though she would do it, no one was checking. Overall, I have had the most amazing experience here and had I not had her in her home school, I would have never known what a huge difference it would make. I am the proud parent of multiple AmeriMont students at both the preschool and elementary campuses. My kids are very different learners, but the advanced curriculum, use of technology, small class size, and personal attention from the teachers/staff have allowed each of my children to grow and excel. My son went to Amerimont Academy pre-school which we loved. After being there threw daycare and pre-school we decided to in roll him into the Amerimont Elementary school. This place is great, Principle Brown is great and the staff are very helpful. I'm glad we picked this school over the other schools we looked into. My son loves it herr and asks me during the weekend days if he has school because he wants to be there all the time. Good job Amerimont and we wish the school a success. read more

Terrible (newer) administration that lacks the professionalism and experience to run and build a school. Most importantly, there has been a complete lack of accountability and transparency on multiple fronts from the owners and administration including as it relates to health and safety. (My kids' teachers were great but the school got rid of all of them). read more

Amerimont Academy Elementary is a hidden gem in Anaheim Hills! I highly encourage any parent looking for a high-quality private school for their child to visit this school. My son attended TK and is currently in Mrs. Shubin's Kindergarten class. Overall, my wife and I couldn't be happier with the school and most importantly the dedicated and top-notch teachers and faculty who know each child and parent by name. You will not find a more nurturing and intimate environment for your child to learn and grow. Before we decided to go with Amerimont, my wife and I toured Oakridge and Fairmont private schools as well as looked into our assigned public school, Anaheim Hills Elementary. To help anyone going through a similar analysis, our decision to go with Amerimont was based on the following: 1) 21st century curriculum - While all 3 private schools provide a competitive curriculum and homework that fit your child's level, we found that Amerimont provided better uses of technology, intended to prepare your child for the jobs of tomorrow. The current education system in public school and other private schools are antiquated (e.g., no smart boards and limited use of technology). Each child at Amerimont has their own iPad with educational apps from which they will learn responsible use of technology and each child is encouraged to blog (in a safe internal network). 2) Credentialed and caring teachers - Not only is Amerimont accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and achieved above average standardized testing scores, but all homeroom teachers are certified. I didn't realize it but many of the teachers at the other private schools in my area do not have teachers who are certified educators, which is only a requirement for public schools (as I understand). It is almost cliché to say that the teachers are the best because anyone could say that about their preferred school, but in my opinion, Amerimont has chosen an extraordinary team of educators. 3) Small class size - My son's class size in TK was 1:10 and in Kindergarten it is 1:14. This make a big difference in terms the amount of one on one attention a teacher gets to spend with your child. The class size can not be beat. 4) Worldview on education - the current and future working world is global. I love the fact that Amerimont includes within its core curriculum Spanish and Mandarin Chinese language classes. 5) Better study habits - My son has developed critical and important study habits at this school that have established a solid foundation for his academic future. He learned to read level 1 books within 2-3 months of being in TK and is currently testing at a grade 1-2 level in math and reading in Kindergarten. 6) Extra programming- If you are tired of being nickel and dimed by other schools to pay extra for morning day care, art, foreign language and STEM, know that these are included with tuition at Amerimont. I also understand that the school is revisiting their tuition to make it even more attractive to parents and offer incentives to parents who register for the new school year. When I ask my son if he would like to go to another school, he is adamant that Amerimont Elementary is where he wants to be. Seeing him thrive, learn, and grow in a happy and safe environment justifies my 5-star rating for this school. read more

My kids have attended AmeriMont since preschool and I feel beyond lucky to have found such an exceptional program at their Elementary School. My daughter is in 2nd grade and my son is in Kindergarten. The Highlights for Me: 1. Highly qualified and dedicated staff - the teachers are amazing. They don't run their classrooms in a traditional manner where kids have to sit quiet and listen all day. My kids get to be creative and collaborative and are challenged beyond what's typical for their grade. The principal is experienced and makes choices based on the best interest of kids. 2. Small, safe community - I feel like I'm dropping my kids off at a second home. Every adult knows them and cares for them. The parents are involved which makes in feel very family oriented. 3. Small class sizes - this is one of those things you just can't find somewhere else. My kids get personalized learning and attention which is partly due to the small class size. 4. Technology - I LOVE the technology. One to one devices that starts at TK. They use the technology for students to show their learning and be creative. They blog, use Google Classroom, create presentations and research. 4. Extended Care and after school programs - My kids attend the after school program and they love it so much they cry when it's time to go home. 5. The Specials - Included in their regular day is Chinese, Spanish, Art, Music, PE, and STEM. I just asked my daughter what she likes best about it and she said, "I have such great friends." read more

My two boys have been attending Amerimont Academy Elementary since it opened. The school is a warm and happy place for my boys. The teachers, staff and owners care about the students and their families One of my son has special needs and I have attended other private schools and I have to say this one has the most caring staff and teachers. They are understanding, patient and loving and thanks to that my son has made such progress in these past years and I really appreciate that. Their educational program is great with all the advanced technology that other private schools do not provide. I am in love with this private elementary school. My oldest son is in 3rd grade and has been attending since kindergarten. My younger son also attends here. The entire staff is very hands on and knows every family by name. The teachers are beyond dedicated and I am constantly seeing them going above and beyond what is expected. I get weekly emails regarding classroom and school activities. This is important for me because I like to know what my children are doing all day! Both my children are above academic level and I know it's because of the one-on-one time they receive every day in their classrooms. This school is organized, energetic and has awesome families!! Amerimont is my best choice for our daughter. The principal is very professional and the teachers are very nice and maternal. Our daughter is very happy at the school and never wants to come home.
