We loved how they celebrated everything from Holi to Christmas, Halloween, Easter, and Valentine's Day. The kids have an active social calendar! Now she's "graduating" this summer, and we can't believe how much she's grown during her time here. She's leaving more confident and social. We're so grateful for the warm, caring environment they've created--it's made a lasting impact on our family.

It's tucked away in a little plaza and really checked off a lot of our boxes when searching for the right place for our daughter. Pros: 1) This place offered flexibility - they have various options ranging from a few days a week for 3 or 5 hours or full days (drop off and pick anytime between 7am-6pm ish) 2) The owner is very communicative - whenever I had questions (before enrolling) and throughout attending SHA, Vik was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Communication is consistent and they use the Lilio app. I got photos / updates of what my child was doing on a daily basis. Communication gets sent out immediately if a child has hand foot mouth, pink eye, etc. 3) Diversity - it was important to find a place that valued diversity, and SHA does a wonderful job celebrating diversity by inviting families to come and share about their own cultural traditions / holidays throughout the year. They also encourage family involvement in events throughout the year which I really loved. 4) Last but not least, a fun and safe learning environment - as a parent who was looking for the first preschool to enroll her daughter in, we wanted to make sure that we felt comfortable dropping off our child in a place where she felt safe and comfortable. They don't have cameras for parents to monitor their kids on, but we have always felt our child was in good hands in their care. My daughter never once complained about going to preschool -- she looked forward to going everyday! During the summer they also have a bunch of fun events like water play days, visits from magicians and 'mad scientists'. Now while there's so much to love about this preschool, especially the dedicated and compassionate teachers (who are what make the school special), it was disheartening to see a lot of the long term teachers leave this year. It was crucial for me to find a preschool that had consistent teachers, and we were very very lucky to have Ms Destany for the entire duration of the school year, but the constant turnover in staff was a bit alarming. Not sure what was going on here but it seemed like staff did not feel valued. Would've given this place 5 stars if it weren't for this.

This school, it's staff and students are awesome. We have had our children going to this school…read morefor some time... and we have another starting this year. This school really likes to focus on "community". Which it is - from our PTA, parents, teachers, staff, and students this school is all about empowering all to know they can make a difference. With all schools - it takes a village - each and every one of us doing our part. I can't send my kids to school and expect them to learn everything they need to know if I am not willing to put in the work at home, enforce respect to self and others, and teach them standard kindness, responsibility and accountability. The more we put into our young community the more kids can grow and flourish. I pray all schools and students around to have a fun and safe school year as we, the families & community, back up our public schools with our help and support where possible.

if there was a negative star i would give it. I am glad my son will be out of this damn school…read more... The teachers have no clue that they are dealing with kids. Even the principal has stated that she is powerless to implement any changes. Kids are correcting mistakes made by the teachers. The teachers give take home test (are you kidding me?) if homework is assigned then follow the normal process and state it in google classroom. They are kids and most probably will not remember what you told them verbally throughout the day. Detention is assigned for no reason. Due to a computer glitch, the teacher didn't get some of the kids homework that they have already completed.Guess what, detention. Future parents, please be cognizant of your kids time in this school and trust me take them to another school. You and your child will be much happier oh btw don't think for a second that you can speak out about the treatment your child is getting. Your kid will be punished (I promise) A few of these damn upper grade teachers are the worst.....Remember who pays your salary.

PTA, staff or principal has some sort of scam going on. They raise tens of thousands in fundraisers…read moreat the beginning of the school year. Their fundraisers promise field trips, supplies, additional activities, etc. Then it gets spent on a P.E coach for the students for the school year. I am a little confused because P.E is supposed to be ran by the staff of teachers. Does this mean Imperial teachers don't want to conduct P.E for their students? They would rather spend public donated funds (at least $30K BTW) so they don't have to teach P.E? Other elementary schools I have worked at have teachers collaborate on a P.E curriculum for their students. It is ridiculous to spend that much money on a resource Imperial teachers should be supplying, than have a school look as old and run down as it does. The playground is peeling, old, broken and sad looking. There are no covered walkways for students to walk to the outdoor benches for lunch. Which means during cold, rainy days when they eat outdoors, their food is soaked by the time they get to the benches. There is NO indoor cafeteria and no auditorium for student ceremonies, performances, etc. For an affluent area to be capable of providing at least some basic school amenities like an auditorium or indoor cafeteria (at least a covered pathway) through fundraisers, why is this not happening? Underprivileged areas are much nicer looking and provide true additional activities for their students without asking for additional donations aside from the hundreds already donated... apparently for P.E coaches. Did I mention that parents are still asked throughout the school year to donate even more money for field trips and classroom supplies? This is an addition to the hundreds we have already donated for their main fundraisers and additional "eat at such and such place these days for even more donations!" I am tapped out. I do not want to pay for a P.E coach because the teaching staff is either lazy or privileged. If it is a staffing issue, then take it to the OUSD district and get them to subsidize most of it, if not ALL of it. Or collaborate and do it yourselves. Other elementary schools do. Why do we need to pay over $30k so Imperial teachers don't? Use that money to actually go towards the students. Not hide behind student use, but really its so teachers don't have to teach an hour of P.E, twice a week. There is no excuse to have raised over $100k since my child has began attending Imperial and have such a worn down playground, no covered walkway to their outdoor "cafeteria", and no actual auditorium for school events. Imperial uses their library space as a small, area for ceremonies and events. It feels like I am attending someones last minute thrown together bible study where you sit wherever you can find a plastic chair or stand against a wall or bookshelf. So tacky. And THIS is an Anaheim Hills Elementary school everybody! PTA, Principal, and staff should be investigated. Do better for your schools OUSD.

The class sizes are very small about 10-20 students per class and for younger kids, the teachers are so sweet and loving and they get a lot of attention due to the class size. Ms. Wolfe and Ms. carnahae got teaches of the OC before and they truly are wonderful teachers that makes thing fun for the kids. I still remember all the projects very fondly. 5th grade at Oakridge is considered middle school. At first, I was worried if it's too early but they prepped them well and these kids are ready. They are so independent communicating with the teachers and checking and submitting their own assignments online. And the middle school teachers are all so wonderful! My kid especially loves the science teacher, Mr. Thatcher bc he is funny and also explains things well to them. He got nominated as teacher of OC this year. They also offered a lot of after school programs for middle school, they started having their own sport teams for boys and girls. This year, my kid started showing interesting in volleyball and basketball and it's very good opportunity for her to try bc practice happens at school and most games were at the campus as well. She now told Me she wants to try soccer next as well. This place might not have the fanciest structures but it's the people and the community matters that makes things great! The parents are so involved and welcoming...we pretty much know all of the kids and parents from different grades there.

Even at some private schools, you may be paying a great deal and your child is not getting a good education like they would here. That is the case with me. I had my little one at a private school that was pretty much a high tuition day care. She was not learning too much but had lots of play time and naps. Here, they kind of merged fun and education. The little one loves it and the school has provided a direct turn around from the deficiencies that resulted from her previous school. The student to teacher ration is very good. The teachers communicate very well with all aspects of the education and they are straight forward. Does the school cost a lot? You bet! Even with a good school district, education for the little ones is very important at this younger age. The tuition here is well validated with the education the kids are getting. The uniforms are very reasonable. In fact, it is probably cheaper that the kids wear the uniforms than having to buy so many clothes. It makes it easy to get them ready in the mornings as well. Great Education and Excellent Teachers at this Location!

Fairmont Private Schools Anaheim Hills has been an exceptional experience for our entire family…read more It's truly laid a strong foundation--both academically and socially--for all three of our children. From our very first campus tour, we were struck by the warm and welcoming environment. Jennie, the admissions director, was incredibly professional and thorough. She took the time to walk us through the campus, explain the school's philosophy, conduct a thoughtful assessment of our child, and patiently answer all of our questions. Compared to other schools we toured, Fairmont stood out as organized and personal. We left feeling confident that this would be the right fit for our son. Our oldest child enrolled in the summer program at 3.5 years old. The transition from daycare couldn't have gone more smoothly. While he initially missed his old friends, he was enthusiastic about the wide variety of engaging activities Fairmont offered. By the end of the summer, he was already familiar with the staff, teachers, and layout of the campus, which made starting the school year a breeze. His teacher that fall was kind, nurturing , and invested in his development--academically, emotionally, and socially. As parents, we had complete peace of mind leaving him in her care. Our oldest thrived at Fairmont, which is why enrolling our other two children felt like a natural choice. This past year, they completed 3rd grade, 1st grade, and Pre-K, and each of them has had a fantastic experience. Our children are not only excelling academically but have also built meaningful friendships and grown as individuals. There are so many aspects of the school that we truly value. The smaller class sizes ensure that each child receives the attention and support they need. The curriculum is rigorous yet engaging, and students are well-prepared for the next academic year--often working a full year ahead of public school standards. For those who need a little extra help, resources and support are readily available. Most importantly, we're so grateful for the incredible teachers--each one has shown genuine care for our children and a true dedication to their growth and well-being. We wholeheartedly recommend Fairmont to any family considering a private school experience.
