We do not speak French in our household and this School gives my son French cultural and language experience. The faculty and staff have been very supportive and welcoming us to the school. I appreciate the faculty to student ratio. The teachers are very caring and nurturing. My son goes to school every morning with a smile. The overall community is kind and vibrant. Also, a lot more modest than other private schools in the area I have been exposed to. Parents sacrifice to send their kids here and they do so happily and knowing it is well worth it. Give this school your consideration. I had a good experience with almost all of my teachers (though I had a couple distinguishably quirky ones). I feel that the technology and science aspects were very helpful (I don't know anyone else who used Blackboard before college!). I had a great experience going through the drama program 6th - 8th grade. I loved going to Catalina, Astro Camp, SeaWorld, and going on snowboard trips. The campus is beautiful now. You should've seen it when the school opened back up :) Overall, I appreciate the time and effort of the staff from 1997-2003. Thanks!

And truly I thought there were behind comparing to some friends kids from other schools. I'm very positive the New staff will make a change. Also being a private school overall matters are very low specially lunch staff Mrs Heather and Chris are very rude to kids they yell at them all the time and over the years I keep hearing from kids they feel treated disrespectfully. Also my kids and their friends learnt to say a lot slang words at the school that was very bad for a private school.

The children did their best with what they had. No cafeteria, no proper playground for upper grades, no multipurpose room, and no space - classes were combined. I was part of the community engagement program to promote community in the school. It included a grant and the money was used for other purposes, because it was unallocated funds. The board members are thieves and liars. The principal took on two years of debt (nearly $3m) and because enrollment was low, it was not able to get the financial support from the state. Explore Prime Academy Board members will gaslight your questions and give you a "let's wait and see" response for what's coming next year. Mind you, Explore has its own board and has NOTHING to do with Orange Unified School District. As a parent, I was really hoping this would be the school my daughter would attend for the rest of her school age years. The expansion was slated for K-12. Unfortunately, the nepotism with board members/ former board members hiring friends and relatives to fulfill staff roles without any training or ever working in education, has left me in a lurch in trying to find a middle school for my daughter. I am angry and heartbroken with how her childhood education has been affected. And wish all the parents better fortune if they find another school. Most teachers are going to Magnolia Public Schools and I strongly recommend parents looking into alternatives to Explore Prime Academy. The negative comments on here are so ignorant and out of left field, with no supporting evidence and these ignorant claims. Orange High has even taken in students who tried other high schools before realizing what a mistake they had made. From teachers to administration, this school cares. Don't let the false rumors and competition between high schools sway your decision. Orange High is just as AMAZING, if not MORE, than any high school around.

My son was being abused, teased and treated terribly by the other KINDERGARTENERS just because he's a little different , was having trouble adjusting to a school setting. Instead of the teacher helping him make friends, they made him out to seem like the troubled kid. My 5 year old said he left us classroom because "he just wanted to make a friend but everyone is mean to him." They don't give consequences to the kids that were teasing him or hurting him or talked to the parents. My son got yelled to " get the Fuck out of here" BY A FIVE YEAR OLD as soon as he got to school and hit with a hula hoop and no one did anything about it. When my son left his class room randomly and was so upset ,NO ONE called me. This all happened week one of school starting by the way.... And we had to pull him out already. Do not bring your kids here.

The class sizes are very small about 10-20 students per class and for younger kids, the teachers are so sweet and loving and they get a lot of attention due to the class size. Ms. Wolfe and Ms. carnahae got teaches of the OC before and they truly are wonderful teachers that makes thing fun for the kids. I still remember all the projects very fondly. 5th grade at Oakridge is considered middle school. At first, I was worried if it's too early but they prepped them well and these kids are ready. They are so independent communicating with the teachers and checking and submitting their own assignments online. And the middle school teachers are all so wonderful! My kid especially loves the science teacher, Mr. Thatcher bc he is funny and also explains things well to them. He got nominated as teacher of OC this year. They also offered a lot of after school programs for middle school, they started having their own sport teams for boys and girls. This year, my kid started showing interesting in volleyball and basketball and it's very good opportunity for her to try bc practice happens at school and most games were at the campus as well. She now told Me she wants to try soccer next as well. This place might not have the fanciest structures but it's the people and the community matters that makes things great! The parents are so involved and welcoming...we pretty much know all of the kids and parents from different grades there.
