Hi my name is Mark and my wife and I purchased a old home and we were apprehensive about taking on an old home that needed a lot of attention! With that said, some friends recommended to use Cornerstone Construction and they had great good reviews online. So we decided to give them a call and someone name Jon Duey answered and he came to see us a few days later. After hearing their prices which were not the cheapest or the most expensive...we went with them because of their knowledge and professionalism. Jon is a great guy and he's a architect so he gave us real advise with no BS... They finished our kitchen remodel which was intense...we moved the kitchen into a different room!! I'm attaching the before and after but it's kind of unbelievable because the two pics look nothing alike! We are super happy with our new place and thank god for meeting a company that approaches construction with a "non sleeze " manner and everyone on their team was polite and friendly. Highly recommend this company to anyone looking for real quality with genuine people to help you achieve any dream projects you may conjure!
My wife and I live in the Santa Clarita area and we reach out to multiple contractors to help us build a retaining wall, concrete stairs, and a two car parking area on our hillside. We were jerked around by most of the guys who came to give us proposals, most of them just felt like used car salesmen who just wanted to close another deal without hearing out what we wanted. We were urged by a friend to look up there license standings with the California State License board and we realized that most of them had either been working without a valid license or had their license revoked for one reason or another...but there was one or two companies that had it all together...out of five or six people that came out!! We ended up feeling comfortable with the guys at Cornerstone Construction because we felt like the guy the came out to meet us "Jon" was genuine and knowledgeable and was not the sleazy salesman type. Jon was the name of the man we talked to us and eventually got us through the whole process, Jon Duey is a good guy and a Licensed Architect too! Jon was very detailed in his approach and even helped us flesh out our plans...everything came out great and they were very nice to deal with to the end. When my fiancé and I started talking about purchasing a property, we knew that the skills of a honest and reliable contractor would be needed. I started asking my friends if they knew of such an individual, and one of them referred me to the owner of Cornerstone Construction, George Abraham. Going into our first meeting, I was a bit apprehensive, but my fiancé put me at ease. Once George quited us prices and explained his process, I knew we found a straight shooter with character, integrity, and basic human kindness. George and his team began working on our yard within a short period of time and have made much progress. George has even offered many suggestions, which we never would have thought about, all while staying in within the agreed upon quote. We cannot wait to see how our vision is played out, but are very appreciative of the kind hearted George Abraham and Cornerstone Construction. Thank you!
I hired Cornerstone to do pretty extensive renovations and improvements to our office building. I met with George and felt good about his knowledge and also his ideas (I had no idea what I really "wanted" and needed alot of help with ideas). In a nutshell, George and his team (Jon and Daniel) delivered on everything without a single hiccup (and that's with me making a few change orders). I actually found Cornerstone on Yelp which I thought was funny for a contractor, but it worked out fantastic. I did have two other guys bid out the job, they just didn't have the same professionalism and frankly looked to me to provide every detail which is not what I was looking for. As a consumer, I wanted to someone that would give me ideas, follow through and do great work, and that's what I got. I'm going to post pictures but they probably don't do total justice without the "before" pics.
Jon and George were wonderful during the construction of the project. They worked great through any issues that came up. They were able to execute the project with a great attention to detail and high level of responsiveness (Jon usually called me back within minutes and never failed to call back) for the master bedroom/bathroom and ADU work that I had done. What's more, they are good and honest people. I will call them again for any future projects. I sincerely recommend them.
I am the facilities manager for a business in Sherman Oaks. We have a small campus with three buildings. After interviewing many contractors, Cornerstone was the only company who showed the confidence, conveyed the dependability and wasn't deterred by the renovation of our interior space of 3000 sqft (I say deterred because we wanted a tenant improvement, but didn't want to pay an architect for professional drawings). Jon, an owner of the company and architect, really understood our vision and design concept for the space.Their bid was fairly priced and I always felt that I was working with an honest group of guys. Cornerstone is an A-class professional company. Jon was always available by phone and very responsive to emails and text messages. Mike, the foreman/project manager, was my onsite and day-to-day contact. Mike was the easiest person to work with. He was also very responsive to all of my communication and took time to explain things and find the best solutions to any challenges that arose. He made sure that the construction site was clean, safe and organized. He also has a very calm demeanor and makes most challenges seem like no big deal. Lastly, Cornerstone has relationships with sub-contractors who are each experts in their various fields. I can't say enough good things about Cornerstone and would recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor.
I figured now that it has been over a year since my initial remodel with cornerstone, that I should write an update on the things that have developed since. As I wrote in my previous review, I had a glowing experience remodeling my entire newly purchased home. I had just left the downstairs bathroom, the laundry room, and a few odds and ends incomplete. I had George come back in to finish the place up, and we both got our creative juices flowing on the downstairs bathroom. It was honestly a ton of fun - we would visit the tile places together, and look at fixtures online together, and really got to feed of of each other's creative energy. We had websites like pinterest and houzz up tossing ideas back and forth, and finally we created the ultimate bathroom (at least in my eyes :) ). When people come over they say it looks like something out of a fancy hotel, everyone is blown away. Better yet, it cost SIGNIFICANTLY less than other contractors wanted to charge for a completely basic/boring bathroom. In addition, I had an issue with a couple of the cabinet doors in the kitchen getting some paint bubbles in them - no questions asked, George took the doors to his cabinet maker and had them all re-done. What an incredible business/owner to partner with on both large and small contracting projects!
Look no further, my wife and I finally found a company with quality and honesty...working with Cornerstone our ADU/guesthouse was a nice experience compared to previous experiences working with contractors. We loved the guys we worked with on a day to day basis. Our project manager Mike was really on top of things and we felt like we didn't have to chase them to keep the project moving (unlike previous experiences with other contractors who will remain unnamed). We also had a lot of experiences with Chewy who was the foreman who did some of the work on our guesthouse and I've never experienced a better guy when it comes to this guys amazing attention to details! Our guesthouse was done from the ground up with permits and all through Cornerstone's all in one system. Thanks to all the guys who helped us bring this home to life!
I have worked with MANY contractors in the past and I have always had a problem with every remodeling project I have done. The time frame is never what they promise and it takes much longer and the outcome of the work is not that great. I hired Cornerstone to remodel my floors and they did an amazing job I can't complain about anything! Everyone else that quoted me said it would take 5-7 days and George at Cornerstone told me between 2-3 days. He had a professional team come out and work on my floors yesterday and completed EVERYTHING in one day I couldn't believe it. My husband is very picky with the finished product every time and always points out a scratch or dent when he sees it and this was the first time we were both happy! I'm so happy we finally found a good and RELIABLE contractor. My dad always said finding a good contractor is like winning the lottery! Haha Thank you so much George! We will be hiring you again for our next project for sure!
I own a dental clinic with a couple partners and we were looking to renovate some areas in order to expand for more space. We updated the waiting area and subdivided the space differently to maximize the space we have. We contracted Cornerstone, they came in for an initial estimate, and we got started almost immediately after we agreed to the plan. The project manager, Mike was great to work with. Understood our needs and was very friendly and accommodating. Throughout the process, I was kept up to date with progress via calls/emails/pics. The service I received was very professional and fast (something I kept stressing due to downtime of closing clinic). I highly recommend cornerstone construction for transforming any commercial space. We'll be using them for our next project as well!
We used cornerstone to remodel our commercial office space. Customers are always extremely impressed with the office, and several people have commented that it must have cost a fortune to do. It's our little secret that it didn't :) George was by far the best on price and created a space that looks exactly the way we imagined and discussed it! Every time I walk into the office I look around at the clean, modern, elegant design and thank my lucky stars that I found George and cornerstone. He worked with us from start to finish in envisioning/drafting the design, getting it approved with the office landlord, selecting materials (and saving us a ton) and completing the buildout. He even had his folks work collaboratively with building management on things like, wiring, plumbing and telecommunications. 5-stars for my go-to commercial contractor.
I hired Cornerstone Construction and their team a while ago to help us with our office space, we needed to reorganize the space and move some walls around. Cornerstone had to do a lot of electrical modification to the lighting and wiring because of the change of layout. Cornerstone quoted us a approximate start and stop date as that was critical to us getting back to work. They were very good about starting on time and completing the work even a couple of days early. Their team which includes George and Sam and their team were really professional and they conducted themselves in a professional manner. Looking into the future we will be working with Cornerstone again! It is difficult to find a company that give you quality, efficiency, and customer service!
We just wanted to get into our space ASAP and we signed our lease really late in the game!!! We gave Cornerstone less than 2 months to finish our space and they had to go through all the city inspections!! We had a 1,655 sqft space in a medical High rise in Glendale California and our Psychiatry office had to open on time...the space was difficult to work on because of the logistics of having to work on nights and weekends! Great team (Jon and Mike), wonderful time management, and reasonable prices (they weren't the cheapest but fair), friendly tradesmen (none of that harsh mechanic types). We are definitely gonna be reaching out to them again!!

I needed to get my front drive way redone and redesigned. I gave them my ideas but was not completely sure what I wanted. I put my trust in them and it was well worth it. They did a great job and it turned out just pitch perfect!! read more

We needed major renovations at our preschool and didn't know who to call. Cornerstone Contruction was recommended to us and we had the absolute best experience. We had a narrow window of 3 weeks to complete our extensive renovations (when we were closed) and they completed all renovations on time. This was not an easy project, as we updated 7 children's bathrooms to be touch-less and more energy efficient, updated 6 teacher classroom work areas and added an HVAC system for 3 rooms. We follow a more natural look which is not the current industry standard but they understood our preferences. We can't recommend them more highly. Our personal contact Geoff, texted us pictures of the progress and would FaceTime when needed. Our construction was all we could ask for and we will absolutely use them again for our upcoming projects soon! read more

Cornerstone and their team did a great job building an extension to our suite. Even during the difficulties of Covid their team was attentive to our requests, was on the ball figuring out problems and making sure that all the details were taken care of at the end of the day! We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to do some work at their home or office! Also thank you Jon and George with your utmost professionalism! read more

I've had the pleasure of working with Cornerstone and members on their team for a few years now. As a designer, we feel that they always have had a great ability to work with our documents and deliver on the designs that we lay out for our clients. Right now they in the middle of executing the work for a high end office tenant in Beverly Hills. Where many contractors would exploit the opportunity when working in high end parts of town, Cornerstone kept their prices very reasonable and always deliver with friendliness and professionalism. Also, Cornerstone can always find creative ways to work around tough problems, difficult access issues, and Clients that has changing needs. We will be looking to them for the next project too. read more

A little while ago I hired George and Cornerstone to do some renovation work on our office space in Sherman Oaks. We had a tight budget and timeline and I'm pleased to say that Cornerstone came through in both of those departments. To make it even more difficult, we had to complete a renovation of the office over the Christmas holidays and be up and running right when the new year started. George and his team were able to even beat the schedule we had and the move back into the space went seamless. Everyone was impressed with the quick turnaround and quality of the work. Included are a few photos of the finished product. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to do a tenant improvement or build out of their office building. read more

I am fortunate to have had Cornerstone Construction remodel my home. George did an amazing job and I'm super happy with the results. Even though this was my first ever renovation, I knew more or less what I wanted to accomplish: a full kitchen and bathroom remodel along with recessed lighting and new paint throughout the house. But I had no idea where to begin looking for a contractor. Fortunately, I met a friend/client of George's and got to see the impressive work that George did for him. So I called George and was pleased with how friendly he was over the phone. George has a genuine attitude and really looks out for your best interests, and this stood out to me compared with other contractors I talked to. So I decided to go forward with George. After going over the plans, George came back with a reasonable estimate and timeframe. But once the demolition work started and I saw how dirty things would get, I worried that the outcome would not look like the pictures on Pinterest or Houzz. Since I've never done a remodel before, I wondered if it would take way longer than expected or go way over budget. Fortunately, it didn't! George's crew finished on the early end of their projected timeframe and it was within the budget we agreed to. And what a transformation it was! All of the effort put into picking out tile/counter/backsplash, fixtures, lighting, appliances, etc. came together and paid off big-time. There's no better indicator of a job well done than all of the WOW's and other compliments I've been getting from guests who come in and see the place for themselves. Cornerstone Construction remodeled my entire home and I am very pleased with the results. The remodel was extensive; the project included our kitchen, bathrooms, a staircase, and a fireplace. We also made minor floor plan changes, painted the entire interior, and upgraded all the flooring. I had a fairly good idea of what I was hoping to accomplish with the remodel. I spent a lot of time researching my options and looking for inspiration before meeting with George. Still, George's experience and ideas took my vision even further. He put together sketches and mock-ups that helped me explore several options and layouts. Plus, George came up with creative ways to work within our agreed budget without sacrificing quality. Contractors are infamous for quoting one price at the beginning of a project and then asking for more money once construction begins. With Cornerstone this was never an issue. George broke down the project into logical phases and put together a clear payment schedule in our contract. I appreciated George's foresight and transparency in this area. Even for a project as large as mine, I was always confident that we were within our agreed budget at every stage of construction. Cornerstone was able to complete the entire project in under eight weeks by working six days a week. That's impressive considering the scale of the project. I was also surprised by how many people were working in parallel. There were days when nearly ten people were working on site at the same time. Even though we were on a tight schedule, Cornerstone didn't cut corners (no pun intended). Throughout the project, George identified areas that needed attention (ex. corroding pipes, water damaged plywood in one of the bathrooms) and made sure to address them so that I wouldn't have to deal with a bigger problem down the line. In the end, the project speaks for itself. It's been several months since we completed construction and I continually receive compliments from family and friends. read more

I hired Cornerstone to renovate bathrooms and remodel part of our office space. I've never managed a remodel before, and Cornerstone made it easy. At each step of the process, from the bidding to the final sweeping, they were professional and went the extra mile. They helped make a plan that was in our budget and had a minimal impact on our productivity. Like any construction project, there were occasional delays, but the project managers always warned me and quickly enacted a Plan B to keep the project moving along. The team worked weekends and off hours to get the work done. We would (and most likely will) hire them again. read more

I have personally worked with Cornerstone for nearly 10 years now. They flawlessly finished several projects I asked for. They really do care and would go above and beyond to please their customers. Even though they have a lot of other projects they are working on simultaneously, together, they manage it all very well. George picks up his phone quickly and answers his texts in a timely manner. Jon is very organized in his work and keeps track of what exactly is happening at the project site. I would whole-heartedly recommend them for anyone looking to do any type of commercial (residential work). read more

We were looking for a good contractor to remodel/repair part of the first floor of our home after a water leak in our downstairs bathroom. George from Cornerstone came out and was honest about what we could and should do within our budget. After speaking with him, we decided to use Cornerstone to remodel not only the downstairs bathroom, and repair the water affected areas, but we decided to remodel our dated upstairs hall bath as well, and also install new flooring downstairs. George, Mike and the rest of their team did a great job! Their tile guy is amazing -- he did a wonderful job with all the bath tile, and the custom glass doors in the bathrooms really complete the look! Their paint guy is great and does clean work. The new floors totally changed the look of our house. Everyone who has come over has been amazed by the transformation. Both George and Mike, the project manager, went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the results. We had a few minor issues but George and Mike made sure everything was done the way we had discussed, and even offered advice and suggestions when I couldn't make up my mind about something. I'm the first to admit I'm very particular about things but they both made sure everything was to my satisfaction. It was a pleasure working with George and Mike. Our house looks great! I'll be looking to Cornerstone for our future remodeling needs! read more
