I was very satisfied with Master Window Repair and I would recommend them to anyone looking for this kind of help. It started with a phone call, then a Facetime call with Alberto, which lead to an estimate, and, because I was leaving for the weekend, Alberto was able to accommodate me with an earlier appointment. Jason, the technician, was kind and patient and very professional. He fixed my mistake, (the window spring balance had snapped up into the top of the window and I didn't know how to bring it back down), and explained to me how to do this correctly from now on. He also fixed a screen in another window while he was here. Very reasonable prices. High quality care from start to finish. Definitely would be willing to hire them again if I ever had need. Thank you guys for your awesome vibe. read more

I was so pleased with Master Window Repair, from start to finish. The communication with their office was timely and clear. The services provided for a virtual assessment, in-person measurement and installation were all great. The team was thorough, skilled, punctual and professional. I would use them again for sure, and recommend them to anyone who needs this service. Thank you Master Window Repair! read more

Fantastic in every aspect. Throughout the process they were punctual, communicative, flexible, and clear. I had a window break in kitchen after a wind storm. When I called, the receptionist was friendly and it was easy to set up an appointment for an estimate. They were accommodating when my schedule changed and I had to change the day, and then promptly called me well in advance when they needed to change. They quoted a price, with half up front and approximately a week to order parts. When the day came and the job turned out to be more difficult than expected, the two who originally came called one more for backup but stuck to the estimate price. The window itself had to be replace entirely, and has worked great--better than what was there. They have been the best experience I've had with a home repair company in NYC. read more

Called them to fix a window which was not closing properly and seemed to be missing some parts. They promised a free estimate. Their competitors seemed to charge for the estimate, but said they would apply it towards the repair. These guys the estimate was free. They made an appointment for between 1pm and 3pm. At 12:30, they called me that they were on their way and would be there at 1pm. They looked at the job--needed some parts and some adjustment too. Estimate was $150. Got the window fixed and out of there with a minimum of mess. They had all the needed parts in the truck. $150 is pretty reasonable for Manhattan as if they get a ticket double parked, its $110 and it happens all the time. read more

Took Off work yesterday for an appointment made for a window repair With Master Window. No one Showed up or called. I called to find out what happened, First they told me they could not get me another appointment until May 29th (exactly one month from today). Then they called me back and told me they dont even DO what i needed in first place (which was written clearly in my job order) Lost A day or work for nothing, only to be told they dont even DO what i called and set up the appointment for. VERY highly dissapointed. read more

Master Window came on time to investigate how much work my window needed for insulation. The next day I got a quote from them. Upon agreement of the quote, they gave me an appointment date. They provided our condo management with the proper documentation. They were able to do the work within 2 hours and was very clean and tidy in the space they worked on. Bottom line, it is a company I will highly recommend. read more

An excellent company, on every level. We had a rather difficult project: replacing 45 panels of glass in our custom doors leading to our deck; the original windows were not installed correctly, had leaked and became discolored. Two other companies estimated the project, neither gave us much confidence, but Master Window Repair gave us a highly detailed and very fair estimate, the crew arrived on schedule and did an excellent job. We are very pleased and are happy to highly recommend Master Window Repair. read more

They did ok job, came on time, window looks ok. One thing is that we had rolled up white shades over the window (It was rolled up on top of the window), and they stained during installation. We have asked them during the installation if we should remove the shade, and they said "No, It's not in our way" and we didn't remove. After the service we asked them if they can pay for cleaning, but they gave us bunch of shit and of course they tell me it's not their fault and told me that we signed contract anyway. Not a great customer service. read more

Very knowledgeable and convenient. They know their stuff when it comes to windows. Repair and installation we use them for all our windows from tenants ,stores or personal homes read more

AWFUL!!!!!! I had a broken window pane which needed to be replaced. I called master window on a monday and said first available was the following friday. The guy comes and measures the window pane and tells me it will take another week or two to order then reinstall. So in total I was looking at a 4 week process from beginning to end. What a joke! Villa Window Repair was at my place 30 mins after i called and fixed the window within 15 minutes of being there. Call Villa first! read more

I dropped off a screen for an estimate--the frame was bent. They said the technician was out, but would get back to me. Long story short, after many many MANY many many many phone calls and a lot of run-around (they actually told me they were out of screen. seriously?). It was only after I told them to just give me my old screen back, I was done with this nonsense that they bothered to get up off their chair and look around the office they found my (already repaired, sitting there for months) screen. I could have bought a repair kit and done it myself in a fraction of the time I spent on the phone with them. Now, you'd think they would have given me a discount or some sort of recognition that MONTHS went by (it was my bedroom window, which I had to keep shut the entire summer) and they messed up. Nope! Full price! Two stars because the did a good job on the screen. It cost about $70, which seems a bit high for one window, but they did use quality materials The ladies at the front were nice, but this place is seriously disorganized and needs to do way better on customer service. read more

Punctual both times. Fixed my very old windows as promised. Came back a second time (not their fault) and were punctual again. 100% would recommend read more

Completely first rate company! Needed a couple of screens installed, and they took care of the job professionally and lightning-quick. The installer came to give me an estimate 3 hours after my initial call. They told me the screens would be ready to install in 5 business days, but then called the next morning to say they were ready and could be installed that afternoon. Awesome. Installer was great too, and cost was completely reasonable. Love it. read more

I created a Yelp account just because of these guys. I broke a window in my building's hallway on a Sunday. Luckily it was only the inner pane and the cold outside air wasn't blowing in. I emailed Master Window because of the great reviews on here. I received a call back the next day (Monday) and even had the estimator Alberto show up the same day. He gave me a very competitive price and said the window would need to be ordered and he'd be able to install it within 3-5 days. I received a call on Wednesday. 2 Days later, letting me know the window was in. They booked an appointment for that evening around my work schedule. Alberto showed up on-time to the scheduled install time, installed the window and was done in under a half hour. I have never received such great service in Brooklyn. I recommend these guys and will definitely have them back when we replace our apartment windows during our remodel. I can't say enough good things about the people I dealt with. Amazing customer service all the way around. read more

I made an appointment for estimate with them in the office, estimator came on time was honest and pleasant, they gave as a time frame to come to do the job and came on time did whole thing in less the 2 hours very clean and professional. Good service Recomend. Simon read more

Had a scheduled window of 5-7pm Friday to get a quote. Company called 3 times during the day to confirm and reconfirm the appointment. Cool, we should be good to go, right?? 7pm.......then 8pm rolls around and no one showed up or called to explain their absence or reschedule. Left 2 voicemails for them to address on Monday morning. It's now 11:38am on Monday and no contact from the company. What a supreme waste of my time. read more

Scheduled a winter appointment so it would be easy to compare before and after. Had to cancel a few days before because I had an emergency conflict. No problem rescheduling another winter date. On that date about 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment, they called to give me a courtesy call they were on their way. They showed up on time, got to work right away. About two hours into the job, the supervisor showed up to review progress and assisted in the installation of my three windows. Did an excellent professional and courteous installation and, just as important to me, a cleanup and removal of all installation and old material. There is a definite difference as my rooms are now cold air tight. I highly recommend this company for window replacement. read more

I called and made an appointment based on the yelp reviews. They gave me an appointment a week and a half out, no problem as this was expected. They were supposed to come from 2-4 and they never showed up. I left work early as I respect others time. I called the office at 4, they said he should be there in 10 minutes, he showed up after 4:30. I sent him away. If they can't show up to give an estimate I hate to see how they actually do a job. Very disappointed and a big waste of my time. Based on this, no stars! Let's see if the office calls me, seriously doubt it. read more

This is my first time writing a review, but I have had such a bad experience that I cannot stop myself. Especially, since I do not understand all the rave reviews for MWR. I read these great reviews and decided to call them to come replace my windows. They came on time and that was the end of the "great" customer service. The rep who came was professional enough, and he told me that they will email me with an estimate cost. That was the last I heard from them. After a couple of days without getting an email, I decided to call. The rep on the phone asked me who came to my house. I was like "shouldn't you guys know since you sent him??!!" Anyway, she said that someone will call me back. After two weeks, that "someone" never called me back. Needless to say, since they are so unresponsive and unprofessional, I am not calling them again to do my windows! read more

We just moved into an apartment that had no window screens. Living in NYC, there was no way I would ever open my windows without screens. I called MANY window companies only to find out either they don't make custom screens or they don't make them for my building. Master Window Repair was terrific. Easy to talk to on the phone, the tech came on time to take the measurements of all 6 windows and also took the time to answer all of my questions. He could not have been more lovely or knowledgable. I got an estimate by the end of the following day and a week later, my window screens were ready to be installed. Master Window Repair was great at confirming my appointments, answering all the questions I had (and I had a lot!) and were all around terrific. We could not be happier with the final product. Being very honest, it was VERY expensive. No more so than any of the other places I spoke with that did make custom screens but either way, not cheap! Nonetheless, we are very happy to have used this company and would definitely recommend them to others. read more

Nothing but good things to say about these folks. It was easy to get an appointment, and the tradesman showed up exactly when he said he would, having given me a heads-up call right before he arrived. Once there, he made a thorough assessment; told me my options and the costs; and having received my decision, he promised to finish the job as soon as the necessary parts were shipped in. He was true to his word - I got a call as soon as the parts were ready, and my appointment was scheduled (and kept right on time) as promised. I would definitely use this company again. read more

Went with this company becausE the price was fair and the owner came across professional. What a mistake! After contract was signed came and said he under bid by 2000 dollars! Proceeded to say the initial mistake was covered and not to worry. The day they showed up, 1 hr later the guys start to pack up and leave only to get a second call from Alan saying he under bid the job a second time by 3900 dollars more 6900 in total! At this point I had already turned away two other roofers. Was forced to move forward with him. When the bill came charged me for 6 sheets of wood and only used 4! This guy is a their! I got the name of this & another company from Yelp. I live in Manhattan & needed a very large piece of glass in a greenhouse-type room replaced, and the mechanism of another window repaired (it was too hard to open). Their estimate came in 25% lower than the other company. They were prompt & efficient. They called the day before each appointment & called 20-30 minutes before their arrival. They did a great job. I couldn't be more pleased & recommend them highly. read more

So professional! They came on time, took measurements, ordered the glass . . . and came back two weeks later to install. No hassle, noproblem, no worries. Excellent work! read more

fantastic communication and service. used them for replacing double pane windows. highly recommend them.

Master Window Repair is a company with very courteous service and high quality work. However, we had a bit of trouble getting a hold of them sometimes and our orders took a bit of a long time. I would recommend them to others with only that bit of caution. I would also note that they were the most responsive of some of the other companies I saw on Yelp. read more

This company did a great job installing around 15 windows for me. They were professional, fast, and made sure everything around the windows were sealed up properly. With the cold weather setting in now, the windows have kept my house warmer. Keeping the cold drafts out is a big difference. I would highly recommend using them. read more

I was eaten alive by mosquitos this summer so finally decided to put screens on my windows. I first called Vila which got rave reviews, but they seemed unprofessional on the phone and didnt' even want my name to set up the estimate appointment. The tech measured and gave me a quote of $1300 and wanted 1/2 right there, preferably in cash. He was really pushy about me committing right there and it seemed sketchy. At first I figured they must really be that expensive. I called Master Window repair next and they had a very professional receptionist to make a real appointment for measurements and an estimate. I got a very reasonable quote of around $300. They preferred that I called to leave a deposit on a card and then sign off on the other half when the job was done. The technician was great and professional and make sure I understood that my windows would not allow the screens to completely seal on one side (my building's issue, not his fault). The screens were installed a week later and he took his time to do his best and make them as perfect as possible with my window glitch. I'm looking forward to no more mosquitos! Lesson learned: trust your gut and get a second quote! read more

This review is a from an experience I had about a year and a half ago. I mistakenly posted it under a company with a similar name. This is a horrible company. I had a leaky window. 1st appointment was made and repairman came to my home. He claimed he couldn't assess the window since it leaks. I need to make an appointment with a supervisor. I mentioned on the phone that I had a leaky window ....but ok, I made a 2nd appointment. A supervisor named Alberto was sent out. He was 20 minutes late for the appointment. To his credit he called to let me know he would be late. He came in and looks at the window for no more than 10 seconds and claims the window looks good, there is nothing wrong with it. Starts lecturing me that I should've done "a hose test" (the window is on the 3rd floor) so I can tell him where the water is coming in from. I mentioned it seeps in for underneath. I can get a water hose and we can do this test. His reply was that there is nothing he could do and he has no time for this now and started walking towards the door. I was shocked. I have used many different contractors and repairs people in my years of home ownership. I have never encountered anyone who was so unprofessional. Stay away from this company! read more
