This requires a lot of work, and this is ot a non-profit shop. I brought in several old Mcintosh vintage pieces. They needed a lot of work. One ended up costing a lot more to repair than what was estimated. They stuck to the estimate and asked if I would not mind at least paying for the additional parts needed. They basically lost money restoring an MP1-4 (look it up it is rare). they did it as a labor of love. They told me few were made and only a couple had ever come through the shop. They restored a pre-amp, tuner and power amp as well as the MP1. John explained what could and should not be done to bring these back to pristine condition. This is an honest good shop with techs who love working on vintage gear. I have to check if they are back up and running after the fire. I hope so!

I have used John's expertise and services for probably close to 13 years now. He is the classiest most honest handpiece specialist out here. He knows what he has and what he can and cannot do. We have great handpieces but they do act up once in a while. I know who to call. He has great service...same day pickup and is quite efficient with his work. I also am amazed by his brilliant loyalty service. There have been numerous times where something is askew with a handpiece. I call John and he brings it back after picking it up in a very timely manner. If it's an easy fix and he's serviced the handpiece before... sometimes he charges a nominal fee or even he's done some quick repairs for free. HOW RARE is THAT? Extremely poor communication and hard to reach by phone. Never got anything done by the dates they…read moregave to me. I brought 2 GPUs in to get fixed -- 1 just had a loose fan, and the other had a firmware issue. Took over 2 weeks for them to get the GPU fan fixed (if it was fixed before then, they failed to contact me to let me know). On top of that, when I took the GPU out of the box, I noticed it was damaged! The tech obviously had dropped it and didn't think it was necessary to tell me! What a way to leave a bad taste in my mouth--lost my trust immediately at this point. We're already a month past when I first brought them in, and I'm STILL waiting on my other GPU! Frankly, I think I'll be going in tomorrow to get it back. I've sent multiple messages through Yelp when I've been busy at work, and they just leave me on "read" with no reply. Do NOT bring your stuff here. They will tell you that you can reach them whenever you'd like--but that definitely wasn't the case for me. You are going to have to do all the work on your end if YOU want an update from THEM. Thinking back, they never even had me sign any type of paperwork for repairs / services. Big red flag to me after seeing they damaged one of my GPUs. Will update this review more after I get my other GPU back. What a letdown..

He said he would have to order the battery. I met with him on the 6th of August, and he had my battery by the 10th, he let me know that it would take about an hour to replace the battery. I let him know that I would wait and would bring a book to read. I went in on the 11th and read my book, relaxing in the chair in the lobby. And, it only took 45 minutes! My phone is operating like it is brand new. He also gave me tips on how to preserve the battery. The location is a bit hard to find, but worth the drive from Belmont and time it took to find it. I am very pleased with the customer service and Teddy. [Easiest way to find him is to take Sneath off of El Camino.]
