Stephanie was very knowledgeable and helped us choose our shower doors and hardware with confidence. Ron quickly came out and measured the shower stall. The installers were neat, courteous and professional. We were pleasantly surprised how quickly the doors arrived and how swiftly the installers put them in. This company is a complete disaster--unorganized, unprofessional, and clearly unqualified. They came to our home twice just to measure our shower, promising a flawless fit and that the glass would arrive in two weeks. Fast-forward three and a half weeks, they finally show up only to realize their 300-pound sheet of glass couldn't make it up the stairs. Why? They only measured the bathroom--never considered how they'd get the glass inside. After struggling to haul it up the stairs, they left, came back the next day, and failed again. By the third attempt, they promised to order a new sheet directly from the manufacturer, but after an extra week with no update, I started calling. No answer, no returned calls. I finally had to drive down to their office, and when I called from the parking lot, I watched as the phone rang out--then walked in to find multiple employees sitting around doing nothing. They claimed they'd been meaning to reach out but hadn't called my contractor back, either. Now, we're on their fourth attempt, and I've missed work five times waiting on them. They still don't know where the glass is or when they'll actually install it. Like we're supposed to have no jobs or lives. Then, on the morning of their supposed final attempt, I spoke to Jeanne, the owner. After messing up this job four times, she tells me she's "done coming out of pocket" for their incompetence. She had already decided to refund my money--and then hung up on me. After a month and a half of this circus and five no-show appointments, she just decides to bail and leave me hanging. Jeanne has to be one of the most disrespectful business owners I've ever encountered. Not only was their scheduling and communication a total joke, but they sent people who weren't even capable of handling the installation. For this company to ghost me for two months and then cancel the job outright is beyond outrageous. My contractor and I are both African American, and while I didn't want to believe that was a factor, after dealing with this company, I'm not so sure. Since moving back into a marginalized community, I've seen this attitude more than once--people assume there's a lack of knowledge or professionalism on our end. But here's the reality: I own a business myself, and I can assure you this level of incompetence and blatant disrespect is unacceptable. They talk like they're professionals, but it's all smoke and mirrors. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

I am having the most frustrating experience with Master Shower Doors, Newark DE. The company installed glass shower doors flush to the tile floor in my remodeled bathroom. All was well for a little over 2 years, which is why I gave them as high a rating as I did. Then water started leaking out of the shower, out of the bathroom and unto the hardwood floors in my bedroom. They eventually fixed the issues but the fix only lasted two month. The leak is back and I have had no response from the company. I have called them multiple times over the past 12 days and it feels like my calls are going straight into the ether. ano one has bothered to return my calls. is it too much to ask for decent customer service and get a call back? I paid a great deal of money for remodeling my bathroom including these shower doors and cannot use the shower. read more

OMG THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING I had to redo my shower tiles completely due to a leak. I was financially maxed out so I had to recycle the shower doors (less than 2 years old). Tile Pro referred me to this company. I took their advice and I'm so glad I did. When they arrived they assessed the old track and wheels needed replaced. Instead of trying to upsell me , they took action to converted my existing glass creating a new door by ordering new parts. Let me tell you when they finish ....OMG I HAD A BRAND NEW DOOR IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL I'M SO PROUD OF THE WORK THEY DID. Two thumbs up, five stars, 10 outta 10, ...I cannot say how great they are. It's a long story but my shower base is not that common. The gentleman that came out to measure (on time) was here for a full hour. He had 4 levels, a laser and graph paper to sketch. VERY thorough. From that alone I knew they were getting the job. They were also right on with the date for the install and done in less time than they told me it would take. They cleaned up what little mess they made and made sure we were satisfied before leaving. It took them 11 weeks to get my shower door installed! They were less than honest about my order throughout. Ultimately I didn't even get what I initially ordered. They claim they told me the item I ordered was no longer available. They did not. When I emailed or called them to check on the status of my order, I never got a response. After 6 weeks of inaction on their part I finally contacted another sales rep and started to get answers. Not honest ones, but at least they were answers. I was told the door would be in in a couple of weeks. After 8 weeks the installation crew arrived with a door. NOT the door I ordered, but a door. I went to the office the next day and got a lot of bs from my sales person. She told me she had told the item I ordered was not available and I'd have to order something else. At this point I should have walked away, but I'm a slow learner. I ordered something else. They made a mistake on the order, but corrected it when I called them and sent them an email about it. 11 weeks after my initial order the door was installed. The install crew did an outstanding job. When this ordeal was over I wrote a letter to the owners detailing my experience with their company. I got no response. I wasn't surprised. I do not recommend using this company. read more

I want to say that I usually don;t write reviews but the fellows did such a good job that I had to. When they took out my doors the new design clips were in a different spot and would not hide the holes. While sometime you can putty small ones up this did not apply. We talked in detail before the install and we decided on what to do. It looks beautful, no seems, no messed up caulk. You would never know there was anything done but a great job and it looks great. I echo what other reviewers state about customer service. We have used Master Shower Doors in the past for 3 different houses. This last house completed 1 year ago, we had a situation where they did not use a grommet between the metal hinge and the glass tile. The glass tile broke. I had the door removed, repaired the glass time. I have called no less than 4 times and emailed 3 times. I had one email response basically saying they were too busy. I'm currently do design on a large 5 bath house and will not be using this company again. read more

I walked into Master Shower Doors in Newark, DE for a very cheap piece of stripping to stop one of my showers from leaking. The showroom was so beautiful, I decided to splurge on a new surround to replace mine from 1998 (you can guess what that looked like). The team was professional from the start, but went above and beyond on my project when upon removal of the old surround, the installer observed that my surface was so stained that the new glass would look awful on top of it. I know many companies that would have just done the install because that's what they were sent to do, but this man stopped what he was doing, showed me the problem, and assured me the boss would find a solution. After that, Stephanie and Bobby worked with me to find a creative (and FREE) solution to work around the stain so that i didn't have to do a very expensive tile replacement project. We bought a shower enclosure from Master Shower Doors several years ago and have been very pleased with our purchase. You really never know if you chose a good company until you have a problem. Due to normal wear an tear we needed new hinge parts. I called the Newark location where we bought the shower enclosure. I spoke to 2 different people in the office to schedule and both employees were very knowledgeable and friendly. Our enclosure is getting older so the owner came to our home to make sure the correct parts are ordered. He was knowledgeable and reassuring. The parts did not take long to come in. I got a call that my parts were in and they wanted to schedule a time. The company was very flexible and easy to work with. Again....excellent office staff. I was scheduled with Rob at 3:00 today. I asked to receive a call 1/2 hour ahead of when the Technician will be at my house. I received a the call and we agreed on 3:00. At 2:55 the Technician was at my house with all of the parts required to complete the job. Rob determined that he would not need all of the parts that were ordered. He could have convinced me that all of the parts were needed if he wanted to. The charges were reasonable and the Technician was very knowledgeable, courteous, neat and honest. My wife and I discussed replacing this enclosure in 3 or 4 years. We would not consider going anywhere else for that purchase. Just an FYI, I am not related or friends with anyone in the company. We purchased a shower door from Twin Glass Company in Nov 2014, in 2015, the glass door started to move and was extremely hard to open, called them and they gave me a run around, never came out to fix the problem after I left phone messages and talked to a very rude lady who told me the owner was too busy! So now it's Sept 2016, hubby call Master Shower Doors, explained the situation, they agreed to come out even though they didn't put the glass shower in. Today, 9/13/2016, the technician came out and FIXED the hinge problem! Took him about 1 hour! The door is as new again! The technician was knowledgeable and friendly, neat & honest, and he stated "No Charge" I'm so impressed with Master Shower Doors that I highly recommend them to anyone! I have not received anything for my written review. Today, this company showed me that they care about the customer unlike the Twin Glass Company who never came out to fix THEIR problem! The product is great however, the sales staff is terrible! They have no knowledge of their products and never asked whether shower was tile or fiberglass. Some door designs cannot be used with fiberglass showers but since no one asked, we chose the wrong style in September. When the bathroom remodel was completed in October, they informed our contractor that the one we chose would not work with our shower. We immediately went to the showroom and chose one that we were assured would work. Late November, after no word from Master Shower Door, I called several times only to be told someone would contact me. No one did until I wrote an angry email! Again we were told the product we chose would not work! Apparently, the were planning to keep my 50% deposit and never tell me the door couldn't be used! Finally, the week before Christmas we got a door that worked. It is beautiful but has developed a leak. We have called repeatedly only to be told someone will call....after a few weeks, no one has!
