I got a facial with Kathy, it was a Groupon deal. Honestly, it was just OK. Nothing too special. She barely did any extractions at all, like the tool barely touched my face. That's probably what bothered me the most. I paid for a facial but I feel like I didn't get a proper facial. What she did, I can do myself at home. Overall it was relaxing but nothing special. Most likely will not be going back. I feel like there are a lot better options out there. read more

I am beyond upset! ALMA DOESNT DESERVE A 1 STAR ITS A ZERO STAR FOR HER! I came in this morning for my appt at 8:45am April 8,2023 to get my hair highlighted, colored, blow dry and haircut! I schedule an appt with owner Alma at master salon! 1 or 2 weeks ago I came in to her salon to discuss how I wanted my hair and agreed on what was going to be done and went at the front to schedule an appt for the following week. When the the day came witch is today, I got ready early took the day off and head over to the salon for her just to tell me that she can't do my hair because her daughter schedule an appt for only 1 hour for a haircut and blow dry only. When I specifically stated to her daughter that works as a receptionist there what her Mother and I discuss what was going to be done. I had told Alma multiple times I took a day off and that's not my fault if your daughter made that mistake. She still insisted to get my hair done and stated to me it takes about 2 hours to get the hair I wanted and mind you her next appt was at 10:30! She could've done my hair I got there at 8:30am! This is so UNPROFESSIONAL of her to do as an owner! They don't call you to remind you of your appt either, it would've been nice if they called me the day before to remind my appt and remind me what was going to be done! BUT NO!!!! They didn't even call! Alma basically just turn me away, I never in my life had to deal with something like this! BAD CUSTOMER SERVIC! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BOOK APPT WITH HER! I also went to multiple hair salons this morning to inform them what happen to me this morning and to see if that was right for her to do and they told me especially as a manager that was not the right thing to do she could've still done it. But thankfully I found the best hair STYLIST and will get my hair done the way I want it to be! Oh on another note the only reason why I went to Alma was because my hairstylist move to another state, and told ALMA about it. Alma did ask me how much my hairstylist charged me and I told her around $200 and stated to me in my face made me feel even more upset when she made a comment about oh maybe that's the reason why your hair stylist left because she was charging you to cheep and for the type of highlight, color haircut and blow dry she stated she will charge me $400 and also stated to me that she WILL NOT STAY IN THE SALON FOR HOURS TO GET WHAT I WANTED! Yes I did brush it off and ignore what she said and my stupid ass still schedule an appt with ALMA! I don't want anyone to go threw what I went threw. I must say that it has been a long process and it didn't happen over night but I trust her with my hair and I won't let anyone else touch it. She pleases me everytime. We were in town for my nephew's wedding and a friend of his recommended we visit Angela Turner at Master Salons to get our nails done. Angela totally exceeded our expectations. First of all, the foot baths she uses for pedicures are very nice - way better than the ones at your local "nail factory". She is a true artist and has incredibly creative nail design ideas. One of the girls got her nails "etched" which took 3 different methods to create and looked amazing. Angela also did an "accent nail" on each of my hands using different kinds of glitter that also looked awesome. She really took her time and gave us top notch service. But when I tried to make an appointment for another facial, Cathy didn't get back with me until I followed up my voice mail with an e-mail. When I replied to her e-mail, I didn't hear from her again. Went in to get hair bleached blonde, girl who did it did a bad job, barely asked what I wanted I showed her a pic and she barely looked at it. I went in with light brownish hair, wanting to go blonde silver and left with several different colors of orange, white, and copper hair and it was falling out. I had a facial with Cathy at Master Salons which I had purchased through Groupon. I went with the intention of researching a new aethestician. cathy was kind, courteous and professional. I was just not pleased with the final results and process of the facial. I've been to other locations for facials so i'm a bit familiar with most of the techniques. I found it odd that she didn't take time to actually examine my face to get an idea of skin type. She asked me only one question about my skin then proceeded to put all the stuff on my face not explaining what each type of application was. Her extraction process was weak compared to other facials I've received in the past. Once the facial was completed my face felt clean and refreshed but it definitely did not look like it. There was white residue left on my face that she did not think or bothered to remove. She did not have any tips, recommendations for taking care of my skin. It really felt like a drive through facial experience...quick, not really satisfied, and with no intentions of returning. read more

The stylist gave me a bomb relaxer but she is VERY scissor happy, the relaxer was also $75 which is very pricy. I never let her trim my hair again . I didn't go to her for 9 months just to experiment on how long I could go without a relaxer . I gave in and once again I was paying $75 for a relaxer . She didn't apply it to all of my hair so my hair was partially straight partially curly . After about 2 weeks I got a sew-in (protective style) which I kept for a month . When I took it out my hair had BROKE OFF SO BAD . It was tragic and I was broken hearted . I knew it was because the relaxer was not applied properly . I immediately called her to ask if there was anything she could do . She said the least she could charge me was 80 DOLLARS . ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?! I was asking her to fix HER mistake and she was trying to charge me ! Long story short is Laryse is the WORST stylist I have had in my life . If I could give her 0 stars I would . If you're thinking about going to her PLEASE think twice . read more

I took my daughter to a stylist at Master Salons (She now works out of her home) for a weave. She had done her hair in the past and had done a good job on the in betweens. She suggested that I do a full sew in to prevent damage to the leave out. I took her on 7-1-15 and paid $240. She did such a poor job it had to be removed and done over a week later. She had cut the cap so the part looked a mess, she used yarn to sew the braids and they were coming out, there was thread popping through. It was just a mess. I contacted her and explained my dissatisfaction and requested at least a partial refund since I had to spend another $300 to fix her mess. She said the best she could off was $50 off on the next full sew in. There will be no "next full sew in". She told me I should have brought her back in to fix what she did wrong. My daughter wasn't even in town when she got it redone and why would I let her re-do it after making a complete mess the first time. The only reason I gave two stars is because Helaina is a nice person and she's done good work in the past. Full sew ins are obviously not her specialty and she charges too much based on her skill level. read more

Great salon services! I've been going here for quite awhile to get my hair done. Laryse is my stylist and has been for about 8+ years. She is very professional and cares about her clients. She consults with you before performing treatments or any other services so you can make informed decisions about your hair and expected outcomes. Time and scheduling is very important to me and she is wonderful and can fit you in as needed. I always receive great compliments about my hair. She really takes good care of her clients.
