Yesterday, I visited this salon for the first time. I made the appointment for the same day through their website, very easy and quick process. My stylist Kenya did an outstanding job in my dull hair. She was very warm and attentive. I selected the Classic service that included Shampoo, cut, blow dry and treatment. I haven't cut my hair in 8 months, and my ends were screaming for some love, lol. The hair mask revitalized my hair, and the layers brought it back to life. I debated on whether or not I would review this as I was always taught that if I didn't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all, and I waited for a few months to see how it would turn out as it grew, but if you are spending good money, I figured I'd issue a warning. I made an appt in February. I specifically asked that my hair be cut all one length at the collarbone. The stylist insisted on face framing layers, I conceded and requested very minimal layers. When I walked in, my hair was halfway down my back. I'm not sure what was envisioned when the cutting began but this is by far the worst cut I've ever had. First pic - 5 mos later, second pic - inspo, third pic - just cut. 5 months later and I am still waiting for it to grow out so I can get the cut I had wanted to begin with. read more

Unsanitary establishment . I came in for a shampoo, cut and blow dry. Left with an itchy scalp. I didn't think anything of it, assuming it might've just been a sensitivity to the shampoo used. Here I am months later still dealing with an itchy, irritated, burning scalp. I thought it was just bad dandruff hence why I waited a little while. I took pictures of the back of my head and found red patches all over. It got so bad I went to a dermatologist who said I now have seborrheic dermatitis that was triggered by something at the salon. Not sure if it was a brush or comb or maybe the washing bowl at the shampoo station. I have to use a prescription shampoo on my head 3x a week to treat this now. To make matters worse, the stylist charged me $80 but the receipt said $60 so I'm pretty sure she pocketed $20 out of me. I will never be returning. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

First of all the hairdresser doing my daughters hair, never got out of her chair. She sat the entire time she dyed and brushed her hair. I was not quoted a single price of what the job would be. At the end my daughter got a small trim - less than half an inch off the end of her hair. The charge was $256. They charged me $48 for a " hair cut" , not a trim and added on $36 for a treatment we did not ask for. She also said she'd be using two colors to dye my daughter's hair and she used three without our knowledge and then charged us an additional amount for it. Shady, shady, shady . I cannot stress this enough when I say GO TO DANIELLE FOR ALL YOUR HAIR NEEDS!!!! I've been going to Danielle for hair cuts for years but just recently decided I wanted to finally do something with my dark brown hair. Danielle was the only person I trusted to do this (I drove back up from Richmond to see her) and she did not fail me!!! She respected my "not too light and definitely not blonde" request and executed it perfectly. She did a balayage and added just enough color to make it pop and show a little bit of change in my hair. She's an INCREDIBLE hair stylist and knows what she's doing, I told her what I wanted and I just let her run with it. In addition to being awesome at what she does she's also so easy to talk to and very personable. She makes an effort to remember her clients and talking to her made the hours I was there getting my hair done go by so fast! She also recommend (affordable) hair care products to me which was great because most stylists will try to get you to spend all your money on the expensive products at the salon. Terrible experience! It's a shady place! Please avoid this salon and save yourself money, time and unnecessary frustration! I didn't not heed the low reviews and booked an appointment for my daughter for for shampoo and curl. We showed up, they gave a 35% higher price than what were told over the phone. To our disbelief the the stylist (Sanaz) told us that we'd have to come back later in the day because she has another appointment in one hour and she doesn't want to miss out on that appointment. I knew something was wrong from the start. She did not wet my hair well, did not touch my scalp at all therefore my hair did not get washed on the back of my head, could not tell where I parted my hair, she has mentioned layers and framing, my understanding of layer was face framing layers, not all over my head. I noticed her cutting layer in the back by then too late. I have lost 1.5 inches with unwanted layers. she never showed me or explained the results. I have to lose another 3 inches to get it corrected by another hairdresser. Measure twice before cut is something she must understand, CONFIRM prior to cutting. I never had 20 minutes service from the start to finish. I am asking bubbles to pay for correction cuts which require twice to get rid of unwanted layers she created by lack of communication and customer service skill. Stephanie was horrible. read more

Today, Hilay graciously came in on her day off to do my hair (after I rescheduled my appointment twice)! I am both grateful and impressed with her professionalism and talent! And then on top of that they absolutely blindside you with the tip prices because they don't allow you to actually see how much you'd be tipping beforehand. This was my first time going to Bubbles and I was less than pleased with the customer service, aside from my stylist, Lucy. Lucy was great. She did a great job on my hair and was very friendly and informative. With that being said, if you schedule people for 10a.m. appointments, you should probably open up before 10a.m. I walked up at 9:58 a.m. and there were two employees outside who were very unprofessional. They were very quick to tell me that they don't open until 10 and that they still had two minutes to stand outside and talk. They chose to take that time to loudly complain about the salon and people that they work with knowing that I was standing right next to them and could hear everything! It was completely unprofessional. Also, the woman who took my payment after my haircut was unprofessional and rude. She was not friendly at all and kept getting an attitude and rolling her eyes. Samina and Nina are wonderful, however Katherine ( with the K!!! ) is absolutely HORRIBLE. I came in with long beautiful hair , i asked for something in the middle face framing pieces and thinner long curtain bangs ( i will add pics to my review ). she offered to curl my hair for free which was nice, and it looked decent enough in the salon although when she was cutting it, she grabbed A LOT of hair and just cut it straight to my chin, i got worried so i asked her "you're doing curtain bangs right?" and she reassured me. I took a picutr in the salon and it looked like there was a huge chunk of my hair missing from the back but i figured it could just be curls sticking together or something. I went home and after the curls fell and my "bangs" if you could even call them that were more noticeable i broke down in tears. even after showering and blow drying the next day I have cried and cried my hair is ruined. the layers are choppy, an entire section of my hair is just missing, and my "bangs" are half my hair, which is fine and thin to begin with so now it feels and looks like half my hair density is gone. I went to someone else at another salon and then they couldn't fix it to a place where it looks good, however they did their best granted it looks much better than it did. I contacted the salon and thankfully the manager gave me a refund. If you book here definitely be wary, and stick with samina or nina. I will attach pictures of inspiration and my outcome. read more
