From day 1, the kids felt like they belong and were part of the Horizon Taekwondo Family and us parents too. My daughter is a 2nd Degree Black Belt and My son is going for his 1st Degree Black Belt in February 2023. I couldn't be more proud of them and all they have been able to accomplish with the help of the instructors. You won't find taekwondo instructors like the instructors at Horizon in too many places. They really CARE for the kids and they always ALWAYS take the extra time to answer questions, help with perfecting their techniques, making sure the kids are ready to face any challenges, that they are always ready before belt testing or that they are ready to compete in tournaments, if they choose to go! Since they had just recently opened, they had a one week free trial going on when I went. I think that offer is over now, but I think there's occasional specials that occur though out the year. Totally worth it to ask if you decide to go there. The instructors are super nice! Master Kim, Adrian and Danny were super accommodating to a newbie like me. Master Kim made sure to check how each person was doing throughout the class, making sure that each of us were able to keep up. His instructions were clear and easy to understand throughout the class and he was super patient in making sure we were doing the moves properly. As there were several different levels attending the class, the instructors would teach us individually as well to help us focus on certain moved based on our "belt" level. I only went for two classes during the week, but would gladly go again. I was so tired after both classes! Would highly recommend them if you're looking for something new to try out :)

He comes off…read moretoo overly "nice" in a strange way like there is something off with him as he is trying overly hard to win you over. Classes sporadic and would rather join somewhere it is a little more consistent. Didn't like the place, not a real business location, just a community centre space they rent for the class. Seems like a part time venture rather a regular martial school. No fly by night for me. I would think any semi-successful school (it sounds like they've had it for at least 6 or 7 yrs) would have a regular space dedicated to their school only rather than a community centre after this amount of time. I'm not entirely surprised though as this guy is truly weird. Don't know how to put it into words but not just a nerdish weird, but more like someone who is passive aggressive strange that he wants you to desperately like him like a friend. I can see that he would not be very nice if things don't go his way. Anyone with mental illness should not have access to weapons of any kind, but being a martial arts expert is dangerous in my mind as you can't take it away from him. I just hope we don't read about him snapping and people getting hurt. It may be in poor taste to say, but I have to be honest this guy creeped me out and I think he is the powder keg waiting to go off. I hope we never have to read in the paper about him losing it
