I've had really good experiences at this store up until recently. I really enjoy the fact that it's a family owned business and the people are very friendly. Everything I've tried from here so far has been good- Turkish coffee, dried chickpeas, and assorted nuts. However, I came in yesterday and got some Jordan almonds in a prepackaged bag that were on sale. When I ate them I noticed something was a bit off with the taste. I looked at the expiration date only to see that they were manufactured in 2021 and expired in 2023. No worries, they're so nice at the store, I would bring them back and surely be refunded I thought. I was wrong. They told me they were on sale because they expired. They didn't indicate this when purchasing. They said they checked with the health department who said they can sell food that is 3 years past the expiration date as long as it was reduced in price. Something about this doesn't seem correct to me. Surely you'd have to advertise that they're expired or let your consumer know, especially because these tasted awful. The woman was nice and offered me some nuts in return, and even though that was very kind I don't think I'll be frequenting this store again if they're in practice of selling expired food. read more

I had bragged to a relative about this business. He had lived in the Middle East and longed for the nut shops there. He called to ask about their products, hoping to place an order, but the woman who answered interrupted his inquiry, telling him she was too busy. No long rambling story. Just calling to ask for...."I am too busy for this." Click. If sales are off this employee may be why. Not everyone is meant for dealing with the public. It's so convenient I live in the apartments behind. I just walk over there and get me a Dubai candy bar and some cashew nuts very friendly.

My sister told me about this place and said they had a really good nut mix that had spices mixed into it. I had to come here based on the name alone and was not disappointed! The store is run by a really nice family and the day we went in there was a teenage son, young daughter, husband and wife helping us out. They're known for their variety of roasted watermelon seeds, but they have various nut mixes and types available with different seasonings. Aside from nuts, they sell a variety of Middle Eastern treats and goodies. Definitely worth stopping in to try their samples (ask them if you can sample their nut mixes) and perusing around to see/learn about the food items they carry. read more

Excellent customer service, excellent variety and the seeds and nuts are top notch. We buy 10 pounds of seeds at a time. We may be able to find the same seeds elsewhere for possibly less money but they never taste as fresh as the ones we buy here. They have beautiful ornamental gift items and the employees are always kind and helpful. It's annoying that we sometimes don't easily find parking because of overflow from surrounding businesses whose customers don't respect that all shops deserve to have open spaces in front of their own shops. If customers can't conveniently park how do they expect shops to be successful? Also not sure about the review regarding the "bad" baklava. Certainly if that customer had only eaten 1-2 of them before returning them, they would have gladly exchanged the product for him. Absolutely amazing place to come to for your nuts, and sweets. I get the Jumbo Salted Sunflower seeds (4 pounds at a time). My family comes in to get various goodies. Always fresh and delicious. I saw the comment from the other person and it's odd because I haven't heard of anyone else encountering that issue here and many of our friends and family shop here. I don't understand what this Jacob guy is talking about. This place is amazing. I have tried all of their baklava brands and kinds (I love the stuff been eating baklava for a long time the stuff is addicting.) Anyways, they have the best and the freshest maybe it was too authentic for Jacob and he should try a doughnut, instead no reason to badmouth a business when you don't know what you're talking about, So don't listen to Jacob and definitely try this place and judge for yourself You will be pleasantly surprised. read more

TLDR; They sold us rancid food and and would not give us a refund or store credit. My mother has been shopping at this store for a few months. I love to support small business and so we she offered to take me to the store I jumped at the opportunity. When I went with her I purchased some baklava among other things. I brought it home and me and my cousin both popped a piece in our mouths. The product was rancid and we both look at each other and immediately spit them out. I tried to return it and when we did the clerk called the store owner and she said that they cannot refund us because all sales are final. So we asked for store credit. The clerk suggested that they couldn't resale the food because it had been opened. To which retorted that you should not have sold it in the first place because you are going to make someone sick. I suggested that she call the store owner back and let him know that if he didn't make it right that he was going to loose more than $8, but that he was going to loose a customer. My recommendation is don't shop at this store because they sell products that may make you sick and they are not willing to stand behind their products. read more
