There were some issues with setting and managing expectations up front but in the end, we are happy with the final product. It is 4/28/22 and pool coping, tile and plaster are complete. We had a 4 month wait and it took 1 month to get the job done. There were a few unexpected expenses during the project but that is to be expected for a project like this. By the time the project was complete we ended up paying roughly 20% more than the quoted amount. Also, we had to choose different coping as the one we originally chose was no longer available due to supply chain issues. There are a lot of shortages going on right now. Workers and supplies. This is not a fault of Blue Escapes, these are just the times now and unfortunately, we along with Blue Escapes were caught in it. This along with price hikes on everything (plaster, tile, etc.) which we weren't charged extra for. Blue Escapes uses quality workers. Watching them lay the tile and take their time with each tile they laid just solidified why it takes a while to complete these remodels. The owner is an honest man who is a wealth of knowledge. Bob (the owner) came out to ensure each step was completed to his satisfaction.

We had all our equipment replaced (DE filter system to Cartridge system), re-plastering, spa filled in mostly with concrete leaving about 8 inches and they added 5 fountains (very nice). Also had a pool light that we had not seen in 10 years - they fixed it and made it totally up-to-date with an app to control the settings. Same with our timer -- we had a bad timer for the last 5 years so I was manually turning on and shutting off the pool every day. Now it's app controlled and works great.
