$110 for an oil change that I was told was already going to be $69.95. Enough said. No warning of extra charges prior. Beware

So I sat there for over an hour just so they could tell me "yeah, can't be patched". Waste of my time. Then they took the plastic nozzle cap off the tire, and I had to ask for another one. Very weird. No tire rotation, nothing. Just slapped a new tire on the next time. It was super weird! Got the impression nobody wanted to be here (including me)

I do not have anyone to give me a ride, so I let them know I would be waiting. Walking in the door, there were 3 people at the counter looking at their screens. And the garage area was blasting with Rap Music full of fowl language. Very unprofessional to say the least. I made a comment to the front desk girl about how loud the music was and she stated that is how the technicians like it and it keeps them happy. Wow! This music was very offensive. And is there no consideration for the customer, who is paying for a service and providing payment to the employees. So, I said nothing more, tolerated it and sat down in a filthy lounge area. The cleanest chair was full of food, hair and pure nastiness. After thirty minutes, I had to get on a conference call with a customer. To be courteous to other 'victims' in the waiting area, I went outside. It was even worse. There was no escaping this lovely set up. I proceeded to walk down the side of the building to go towards the back, where I could have a phone conversation. As I walked down the side of the building, it was a pleasant journey stepping over discarded trash and even a few dirty diapers. Fast forward, I had been waiting 2 1/2 hours at this point. Asked the front desk person what was going on with my car as it was just sitting the rack. Waiting a while longer. All this time I was waiting, I had ask to be told they could not remove the oil pan plug and were afraid the pan would crack. I suggested a lubricant like WD40. She laughed it off. But, guess what, google it. That is an option to attempt. Needless to say after a 4 hour stay at the most unhappy and disgusting place. I did not get an oil change. Usually the customer care expectations start at the top of the food chain. Brunswick Firestone is apparently lacking good management and no one cares about service, whether it happens or not. Firestone Corporate, you really need to take a good look at this store. BTW - This use to be my go to place. What is the world happened? Zero stars would be more appropriate.

On August 23 at around 3:10 pm, we were returning to Michigan from Melbourne Florida northbound on…read moreI-95 between mile markers 30 and 31 in a very heavy rain when we heard a loud "pop" followed shortly by a "check tire pressure" indicator from the dashboard. We were able to immediately pull over to the far right of a very wide shoulder. Due to a fiasco in arranging for a tow truck to show up (not the towing company's fault - a problem with our insurance), I eventually changed the tire myself and drove to Mavis Tire Supply, LLC in Brunswick, GA arriving at 5:50 pm, only 10 minutes before closing time. After explaining our predicament to the lady at the counter, it seemed she was reluctant to write up a new order so late in the day. She asked Jayson, the manager on duty, what she should do. To my relief, he told her to "Write 'em up". So 10 minutes before closing and after a full day of work on a very hot August day, Mavis Tire of 600 Mall Boulevard, Brunswick, GA took care of us and got us back on the road in very little time. They even had the same tire Brand and size in stock and the price they charged was fair (I had just replaced all four tires on this vehicle about three months ago). A special thank you to Jayson for approving this job so late in the work day and to Ron, the man who did the actual tire mount and balancing. We were still in the parking lot well after closing time putting our spare back in place and repacking the car when Jayson and Ron on their way home noticed we were still there and asked if everything was okay. Jayson even gave us information on local hotels if we had decided to call it a day. These two men and this business deserve big credit for helping out a family in need over 1000 miles from home. Thank you again for being good people and a good business. Armando and Sherry D.

There was no urgency on their part as they spent weeks working on my car to do about $800 of work. Then, all of a sudden, they called one morning out of the blue and woke me when I wasn't feeling well by arguing with my boyfriend. Southern Auto said that if I didn't pick up the car and pay that day, they were going to lock my car up in storage and charge me a daily fee. I've never encountered this type of aggressive behavior from someone servicing my vehicle. When I picked up the car, the part that props up the hood was suddenly missing/broken. Also, the lip of the top half of the timing belt cover was exposed. When we asked them to properly fit it, a mechanic went at it with a crowbar, which is not good. They also didn't do the oil change we asked for. We complained about our missing/broken part, and went to the Honda dealer to buy the part on our own dime. After much arguing, they agreed to install the part. I figured that I'd pick up the car the next day since it was getting to be late in the evening at this point. Despite the late hour, the shop insisted that I still pick up the car that night or, you guessed it...storage fees. It's threats, threats, threats with this place. I can't see very well late at night, and I was so upset by how rude and unprofessional everyone was that I ended up having an accident on my way home. This shop was so mean and rude to my entire family. They got us all worked up to the point that we were arguing with them and each other. The mechanic had the nerve to tell us that "he'd never work on another one of our vehicles." He's right about that!
