I couldn't be more impressed with the service I received at King's Colonial Ford. They not only fixed my car, but they truly went above and beyond in every way. When I picked it up, it looked absolutely incredible. They had detailed it so thoroughly that the seats, door panels, and interior looked almost brand new. It was such an unexpected surprise and made my day. They also fixed an AC issue, making sure everything was taken care of instead of just doing the minimum. Brought my truck to get new tires and an oil change. I can't remember the name of the service advisor who helped me out, but she was wonderful and very patient. She helped me make my tire decision and took her time to make sure i fully understood the warranty and rebate that came with my new tires. Service department inability to flash a ford body control module. I gave them 2 ford body control modules on 2 different occasions. Was charged 160 pet turn telling me I had a bad unit and showed me a Screencast "unable to communicate" for both unit. I bought a brand new unit from a ford dealership online. The unit was never opened. When I got to the dealership again I drop the unit when picking up the box and fell 2 feet and was told that it voided the warranty which was BS. Moving forward I decided to program the unit myself using FORSCAN. It cost me 12 dollars for the unit. I took one of the old units and try to program. I copied the old configuration file from the bad unit to the laptop running Forscan and than swapped out the old module and use the one ford said was bad. I reinitialized the pats system so the keys would start the car and would believe it started like magic I tried this on the second unit and within 20 minutes it worked again. I than tried the brand new unit and used the fa tory file from fordmotorcraft service using the vin number and you guessed it. It worked fine. I tried to ask Richard the sales manager why a non mechanical or certified technician can do this and as you would expect from any salesman I got just a lot of hot air. The conversation ended . So if anyone is reading this , I would be happy to help you for free anyway I can than to give your money away to this establishment when it comes to program a module. The service manager initially diagnosed my heater issue as a thermostat problem. Approximately $500 was spent on this diagnosis, which ultimately proved to be incorrect. Subsequently, he attempted to sell me an additional service valued at $1300. The same Ford dealership allegedly installed a new engine to replace the original engine, which was burning oil. Firstly, they did not want to fix the issue. Then they made me go through an oil consumption test, which proved the engine was burning oil. It took them three years to install the new engine. During that time, they held my truck for 2 weeks, did not touch it, and did not call me to tell me that the first engine ordered was damaged. However, the new engine is also burning oil, yet the service manager dismisses this issue, attributing it to the engine type. The mechanic who changes oil on the opposite side of the service department confirmed that the new engine was burning oil. On January 9, 2026, a local mechanic discovered that during the installation of the proper clip for the evaporator line, Ford had zip-tied the evaporator line to the connection while installing the new engine. This improper installation caused poor performance, reduced fuel efficiency, and eventually triggered the check engine light. When I addressed this issue with the service manager, he responded angrily, shouting that they were closed, storming past me, and expressing that he did not care. read more

To my Ga loving friends ....I wasn't planning on it but once I got in the "Mustang" style truck.... I fell in love ... and had to get it. I love the fact that Chip Anderson (See him) didn't pressure me. He was there when I needed him and he left me alone when I wanted it. everything worked out perfectly.... so it had to be. I also love the fact that they had a nice spacious lobby that was not crowded. They had coffee choices, drinks, snacks and clean spacious restrooms. DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE!!!! I had taken my Ford Escape to another mechanic to have the water pump, timing belt, and serpentine belt replaced. They did the repairs but afterwards the engine would rev by itself any time I was stopped. They couldn't figure out why so I took it to King's Colonial Ford in September of last year. They had it until December. Claimed to have replaced a throttle body, PCM, and claimed to do a lot of diagnostics. In December I picked it up in the exact same condition I had dropped it off and they charged me $1000 anyway. Dan Foisy, the Service Manager, was even telling me to buy a new car. Took it to a mechanic in Pooler. He had it fixed in 3 days as it was only the timing belt had been installed wrong. I'm not a mechanic but I think it's reasonable that the Ford Dealership would be able to diagnose the timing belt on a Ford Escape and fix it in less than 3 months time. I asked for my money back after the place in Pooler charged me $1000 to actually fix it and Dan Foisy, the Service Manager at King's Colonial Ford, said they did everything right and refused to give me back my money. Yesterday, I completed a third purchasing transaction with Lee King & sales staff at KCF. Mid-90's a Ford Explorer 4 year lease contract w/service was an easy transaction. My 2010 Ford GT Mustang purchased in 2011 continues to be serviced at KCF. Now, the addition of a farm truck, a Dodge 1500 Hemi, AWD has joined other pleasant transactions experienced at KCF. Unfortunately I lost BOTH my 'push-to-start' keys for my Ford CMax. Upon calling King Colonial, I was told that it would be $360/key to replace, $60/key to program, 3-days without the vehicle (thus car rental for three days) and a tow to the dealership ($145). I actually live in Washington state and bought my last car from King's Colonial Ford in Brunswick Georgia. I will also very likely buy from them again- the experience was that good. I bought a 2013 Mustang Shelby GT500 from them that they drop shipped to a Washington dealer for me and the entire process was painless - and even pleasant. These cars are difficult to find and I had already had a couple of bad experiences and jacked around by a couple of local dealers trying to get one when I was tipped off to King's Colonial. From the very first contact through the months long process of ordering one, getting it scheduled, built and delivered, King's, and specifically RJ Dilts were fantastic to deal with! They were very honest and upfront with everything and sold the car at a very fair price. I've been wondering how I would write this for a while now but I guess I will just start from the top and try to keep it short. I bought a 2016 Ford F-150 XLT brand new from them back in Feb 2017. I bought the truck brand new with a 6inch lift and 35 inch tires and it was all covered under Ford warranty (at least that's what I was told when I bought the truck). Fast forward 1 year later and I PCS to Hawaii for the military. I started having some mechanical issues and come to find out I needed to replace a wheel bearing. So I called Kings Colonial and they said just to take it to a ford dealer in Hawaii and it'll be fixed and covered under warranty. AWESOME, right?! Well Hawai'i said that it's not covered under warranty and Kings Colonial said it was with me stuck in the middle with no vehicle for 4 weeks. I started taking my complaints up the chain of Ford as far as I could. Eventually I had to pay out of pocket over 1000 dollars to get a piece fixed that Kings Colonial said was under warranty. They simply told me "if you bring it back to Georgia we can fix it". The hawaii dealership told me what Kings Colonial did wasn't exactly something they were supposed to do, and recommended I ask Kings Colonial for financial assistance since it was them not following up in their word. Kings Colonial refused, saying "sorry, nothing we can do" yet acknowledging it was their fault I was in this predicament. They have since then stopped answering my calls and emails. Long story short, they gave me their word, didn't follow up on it, told me to I'm out of luck, and I'm out 1100 dollars. Names of people I talked to: Shane, "Doc" (the salesman), Lee King, and I forget the maintenance supervisors name. Cross your fingers if you get any interior work done on your car that they don't scratch anything. They scratched my front dash and didn't replace it then told me they didn't replace it because my car is and older car (06 Ford Mustang) which has nothing to do with it. Well anyway they took it to a body shop which half did the job. So I tell the guy the scratches are still visible and he tells me that's the best he can do. When the best he could do is replace it. I purchased my first Ford and my first ever brand new vehicle from this location. I've always wanted a Ford. On April 9th I called to make an appointment for service on my vehicle to be done on April 15th. I needed an oil change (No problem there. Mr. Jimmy has always been great). He called me when it was done. There was a recall they needed to repair (No problem in the service depart either). They also called me when it was done. Lastly, I needed the weather stripping on the driver side of the windshield replace. This is a common problem so I'm told. When I made my appointment I was told the part was in stock. My vehicle was taken to the Body Shop around 11:30am. I never from them. I called at 4:15pm as I was preparing to leave my home 45 mins. away. To be told my Shawn Atkins that the part was on order. When I asked why I wasn't notified he told me he just found out 15 mins ago. In that same sentence he also told me that he had reached out to other dealerships in the area to see if they had one and he has one on order that will be the next day. I told him I was highly upset as it was my only week day off for a month and that I made the appointment to ensure everything could be done on the same day. All he said was he will have the part tomorrow. This is my only vehicle and I work in Florida. Thankfully I was able to borrow a car from family to get the work. So now the next day comes. By 2:40pm I still had heard nothing from Shawn, so I called. He tells me the part did not come in. I asked again, why was I not notified? He says there is another truck coming in at 3:30pm and he will call me if it comes or even if it doesn't. I said ok. Well, by 4:15pm I again had not heard from him. So I call...again. He tells me the part is not in. When I ask...again...why I wasn't called back he begins to YELL (I'm being nice and using family friendly language here). I told him not to do that and he continued and said he was getting me off of his line and then HUNG UP on me. I was in complete shock and disbelief. I was so upset and hurt. I called back to speak to a manager to explain what transpired. Mr. Rick was kind enough to go and get my vehicle from the Body Shop and handle everything for me. Even now as I type this it brings tears to my eyes to be treated in such a manner for no reason. Shawn Atkins is incompetent and the very epitome of HORRIFIC customer service. Unfortunately this incident has left such a horrible taste in my mouth that I will never purchase another Ford again. I'm strongly contemplating selling this one just to have nothing to do with Ford. Don't service your vehicle here... Complaints: I had to call to find out what was going on with my truck. They never called me to let me know what was going on with the truck. I have had my 2005 Ford Explorer in their shop for three weeks including two shop visits. During each of these intervals, I had to call the dealership to find out what was going on. It was like they were waiting for me to call. I don't know how many days they would wait before starting the work if I hadn't called... I suspect they replaced AND BILLED ME for a battery that did not need to be replaced. The first time I took the truck in, the battery would fail to start the truck if it sat for more than a couple of hours. They replaced the battery and then proceeded to spend the next week trying to find the drain on the new battery. If there was a short somewhere, shouldn't they find that first before throwing a new battery in the truck? It turned out that the wiper motor on the rear window was stuck and drawing current. SO, DID I REALLY NEED A NEW BATTERY? They failed to propery diagnose an issue and continue to bill me every time they "try" something new. The a/c on my truck was blowing warm. I was told that a blend door actuator in the dash was failing. Of course, this wouldn't explain the failure to cool the air, but I didn't know anything about the system until they lead me down this nightmare. So, I approved an $80 part and $700 to take apart the dash. Then, I waited. I waited a couple days. Finally I called and learned that the mechanic found a failed seal on an airbox inside the dash. This airbox costs $600. Not wanting to spend $1500 to repair the vehicle, I ask if the door can be held open or if it's absolutely necessary to replace the box. The service advisor(who is sounds like IS NOT a mechanic) tells me that the mechanic says that the a/c will work but only on the passenger side. If I do not spend another $600, I will only have cold air on the passenger side of the vehicle. HELL, good enough for me. I tell them to put the vehicle back together and I will be happy with cold air to the passenger. I pick up the vehicle and have NO airflow on the drivers side and moderately cool air to the passenger. A week later, the only airflow in the cabin under any condition is HOT air to the passenger. Unacceptable!!! They claim something will work and when it doesn't, bill me again to "open up" the dashboard. Following that issue, I call back and insist that they repair the a/c. The Service Manager tells me that putting the new airbox in will solve my problem. I tell him that I understand the $600 cost, but state that I do not expect to pay to open up the dash again after the "service advisor" told me incorrectly that the prior fix would work. I WOULD HAVE HAD THEM PUT IN THE $600 AIRBOX UPFRONT IF THEY HAD EXPLAINED TO ME WHY IT WAS NECESSARY. So, they put in the airbox and bill me $1500 for parts and labor... Of course, now I'm left wondering if ANY of the a/c work was truly necessary. I have come to believe that I have a refrigerant leak, which explains the initial failure and the subsequent failures. The whole issue with the blend door actuator and the airbox replacement probably have NOTHING to do with the a/c in my vehicle. But the dealership has billed me over $2000 for parts and labor. RIP OFF!!!! The mechanic removed a ratchet(my wrench) from the vehicle. The Service Manager claimed to have searched the shop and talked to the mechanics, but couldn't "find" my wrench. It wasn't until I took the truck back to the dealer to try again to repair the truck did the wrench miraculously appear in my vehicle. My truck was shockingly dirty when I picked it up the first time. The winshield was covered in sweat marks and grease. Other areas of the truck had grease marks and shop dirt in them. I understand that things get dirty when you are working in a hot service bay, but good grief, couldn't someone have run a rag across the windshield and vacuumed the car. The truck wasn't even put back together properly. There was an interior kick panel down by the drivers feet that was placed on top of the floor mat and consequently didn't fit. Again, shouldn't a Ford dealership mechanic know how to put this vehicle back together... There were three fasteners in the center console cup holder when I picked up the vehicle this time. So, now the dealership has my vehicle again. We are going to talk tomorrow. I have never regretted a decision more than taking my vehicle to this service department. read more

I got an oil change, tire rotation and multi point inspection and didn't have to make an appointment within about 45 minutes. Prior to establishing the quick lub service bays getting an oil change could take hours and wasn't customer friendly for out of town customers because we couldn't make an appointment, it was first come and maybe first served. read more

I was driving from New York to Georgia for a week long trip and during the drive my check engine light came on. Concerned about having to drive back to New York with the engine light on I inquired to see if King's Colonial Ford could service the vehicle. King's Colonial was able to give me an appointment, diagnose the vehicle, order the parts, and repair the vehicle in less than three days. More importantly they were able to repair my vehicle before I had to make the long drive back to New York. The service adviser Justin was really nice and gave my wife and kids a ride to the car rental business after they dropped the car off. Justin provided timely updates on the diagnosis, cost, and progress of repairs. Justin was even thoughtful enough to give us a call to make sure we had made it home okay. I really appreciate the guys at King's Colonial for getting us fixed up in the short amount of time we were there. I would certainly recommend King's Colonial for vehicle service. read more
