They were super professional and helped my wife and I choose a lighter and more modern finish. The crew was a father and son team (John and Ryan) who careful not to mark up and of the trim and made my old floor look new and modern again. They used some kind of vacuum system that kept the dust to a minimum so we had little cleanup (aka dusting ;) after they were done. The pricing was very reasonable. We definitely recommend Paramount for anyone needing hardwood floors refinished in the Orland Park area.

Hardwood floors had not been done in 25 years. Heritage Hardwood was able to come in and do the job quickly. The owner, Bill, came out to do the estimate the day after we called. The crew was in the next day. Bill was very clear in the estimate, including a "not to exceed" price for repairs. Not only was the estimate honored, the repairs were less than the worst case so the whole job was less than the estimate. That's refreshing honesty. All stains repaired and the whole floor sanded and finished. Looks like brand new. They used great dust collection equipment with power and hand sanding and we found NO sawdust anywhere. Multi day job (of course) and on-time each day. Outstanding craftsmen. Highly recommended.

There was very little cleanup. Bill was GREAT with communication. He replied very quickly to text messages, and phone calls. I truly feel blessed to have found Jesse and I Am Construction! I contacted numerous contractors…read morewhen seeking an estimate and Jesse was the only one that responded immediately and made me feel as if my project was a priority. He remained responsive and reliable throughout the entire process. He and his team worked around the clock to complete major renovations in time for our move-in date. They painted the entire interior (including removing a lot of wallpaper), removed carpeting and completely re-did the wood floors, renovated two full bathrooms, installed numerous fixtures and replaced appliances. Throughout the renovations the entire crew worked non-stop and were entirely professional and friendly. When issues came up--as they tend to do with renovating an older home--Jesse always provided more than one option with an eye toward saving us money. Their work was top notch and as the daughter of a contractor I am very hard to please so their praise is well-earned. But more than quality work, I truly appreciate their professionalism and integrity. We had an unexpected issue come up the night before our family vacation a couple of weeks ago and I simply called Jesse, handed him the keys and he took care of it. I came back from vacation to a completed project.

I did a lot of homework before selecting a contractor to complete this job. I got five quotes,…read morechecked references on line, and asked for referrals from the insulation company we used who are the ones who tore up our bathroom to begin with due to condensation as a result of poor insulation at the rim joists. Ken was not the highest or the lowest quote I received. However, he was the most consistent and responsive with the best reputation. After the job was done - his quote matched the price I paid! Drywall Day: Let me tell you - the insulation guys tore up my bathroom. Their cuts were jagged, they had spray foam everywhere, they stapled plastic into every wall, and I felt terrible for the drywall people who had to put it back together. Ken sent two men to repair the drywall. They were quiet guys, but extremely respectful of my home and very professional. They replaced over 50 square feet of drywall that was sloped up to a ten foot ceiling. They even did some minor repair to the walls/window sill to prepare it for painting the following week. Their taping and skill with replacing the drywall put me at ease immediately that I made the right decision in choosing Ken for this job. These guys were really top notch. Painting Day: Ken let me know ahead of time that drywall and painting would be about a week apart. I was completely fine with this and I really appreciated him letting me know proactively about the scheduling. His excellent communication allowed me to have reasonable expectations of what to expect for scheduling and timing of the job. Painting went smoothly. Ken is punctual, polite, funny, and most importantly - he is very skilled! This is not exactly a tiny bathroom and it has a lot of obstacles like two large vanities, a shower, a jaccuzi tub, mirrors, etc. He painted the ceilings in the bathroom, water closet, and hallway. While the ceiling dried Ken prepped the walls. Ken was a true professional working with speed, efficiency, and a great attention to detail. The lines where the wall meet the ceiling were sharp and not wavy. I really dislike when I walk into a room and look up and you can see where an unsteady hand made wavy paint lines into the white of the ceiling - Ken's lines were crisp and just as I would expect them to be when paying a professional to do the job. Once the paint was up on the ceiling and walls it was also clear what an outstanding job the drywall guys did as well. You could not see a drywall seam - it is flawless. I recommend Ken for any painting and drywall needs. He himself is a true professional and obviously takes great pride in his work. Based on my experience with his drywall team, he only hires the best to work alongside him. I already requested to be added to his schedule to paint our nursery and put up a chair rail (preliminary quote is between $500-600 for that job INCLUDING paint and chair rail). Ken also does remodeling - I really look forward to using him for several tile jobs, vanity replacements, back-splash, etc in the future.
