He also removed the stucco from my 1960s-era chimney so the brick underneath can be repaired. He carefully and skillfully removed it to expose the damage of the older brick for the mason. They did a horrible job by leaving a giant gap in the trim and squeezed a bunch of bondo in it and this is one of the most visible areas of the room. This review is based solely on the consultation visit, not on any work performed. James came by to look at a wall in our home that needed painting. Prior to the visit, I explained the scope of the job during our call and emphasized that it was best assessed in person, as I had already received a quote from another company over the phone which seemed expensive for a simple job. At the end of the consultation, he pushed for us to agree to and commit to the job on the spot. When we said we weren't ready yet, he stated that he wouldn't prepare a quote for us if we were "just going to sit on it." We explained that we wanted one more company to come out and evaluate the work before making a decision. He appeared offended by this and responded, "I thought you already told me someone quoted you?" I clarified that the quote I had received was over the phone, not from an in-person visit like his.
