This is our third time, having Paint Green do some painting for us and each time it has been such a wonderful experience! All their painters are excellent. For plaster work on over 100 year old plaster -- Sergio is amazing! Thank you both Sergio and Umberto for doing such a beautiful job on the ceiling! A much better job than I would've ever done and our house deserves it! read more

TLDR: The guy thought he was doing us a favor since the job was so small. He thought he could knock it off on the way home and make a quick buck. Then he got pissed when we didn't commit. This review is based solely on the consultation visit, not on any work performed. James came by to look at a wall in our home that needed painting. Prior to the visit, I explained the scope of the job during our call and emphasized that it was best assessed in person, as I had already received a quote from another company over the phone which seemed expensive for a simple job. At the end of the consultation, he pushed for us to agree to and commit to the job on the spot. When we said we weren't ready yet, he stated that he wouldn't prepare a quote for us if we were "just going to sit on it." We explained that we wanted one more company to come out and evaluate the work before making a decision. He appeared offended by this and responded, "I thought you already told me someone quoted you?" I clarified that the quote I had received was over the phone, not from an in-person visit like his. He then went on to brag about having serviced many homes in the area and said we would "definitely be calling him." I don't appreciate sales tactics like this. read more

Jorge and his team prep and painted our house. They did a thorough job of prepping and masking everything. They communicated well, and asked about specific areas to make sure we would be happy with the final result, and we are! read more

PaintGreen - Painters Near Me - San Diego, California

I've had PaintGreen do a couple of jobs at my house and I couldn't be happier with them. Most recently they repainted my front door to fix the mistakes a non-PaintGreen painter made. James was very personable when we met at my house for the quote and Charlie did a quiet, clean and efficient job painting the door. We are very happy with the results and will definitely use PaintGreen again. read more

PaintGreen completed a job for us today that included painting our decks and external stucco as well as stucco/ external wall repair. They did an exceptional job! James, who did the initial quote, was great to work with and kept in touch as the job progressed. The painters (Charlie and Andy) were amazing - their work was flawless, and I was so impressed with their work ethic, communications with us, and attention to detail (including overall cleanliness) on the work site. This firm is well worth the cost, we are always pleased with the result and will use them again next time when we need painting! read more

Paint green did a beautiful job on my office. I had a tight timeframe to get it done and they came right out to do the bid. The painters showed up on time, did a beautiful job and left zero mess. Not one paint spec anywhere. Very professional and pleasant to work with. read more

Scheduled an appointment to have this company quote drywall installation. Waited at home for over an hour after our appointment time and no one showed up. Don't waste your time. They don't care about yours. Yes I'm sure it was this company and the appointment was for today. (619) 446-6983 was the number i called to schedule. I called again 20 minutes after the no show and was told they were not able to get ahold of the driver to see when they would arrive. read more

I scheduled a visit with them and the person showed up on time and promised a quote within a couple of days. After 1 week, I emailed them to ask for a quote (thinking that maybe they forgot) and never received a reply. It's been more than 2 weeks since the visit and nobody contacted me. It doesn't take much to send and email and let a customer know they cannot or don't want to take their job. Maybe they are good at their job, but the communication with customers isn't the best. read more

Couldn't be happier! Had PaintGreen do a full exterior painting of my house, which included some superficial stucco repair and wood repair of the fascia and trim. PaintGreen was excellent all around, from prep to finishing touches. They are professional, friendly, respectful, efficient, on time, have great customer service; their work and work area was clean, and they took care to protect all plants close to the house. Would highly recommend! read more

Very friendly and professional right from the start to the finish. James led the quote process and was great. Eric and Jorge let the painting and did a fantastic job. Our house now looks smart and new. The crew also did a great clean-up job. Very happy to recommend PaintGreen !! read more

Just had Eric and the crew paint the interior and exterior of my house. Highly recommended - everyone was extraordinarily professional, from James who did the estimate, and the crew was fantastic. Good price, work done to a very high quality, strong communication. In particular, James was able to identify a few options and make good suggestions for what we should do. Eric is one of the most professional painters I've ever run across - the guy knows everything about different paints, processes, and had great suggestions. The cherry on top was how considerate they were, especially of fumes and noise. I have a 6 month old baby and they were great about finding options that worked for us. Thank you Eric and crew! read more

The work could be neater, such as cleaning up...The company could be more professional.

Jorge and Gilberto did an amazing job painting the ceiling on the second floor of my townhouse after water damage from the laundry closet upstairs. I paid extra to have it skim-troweled first, which made it a big job because the second floor ceiling extends across the kitchen, dining room and living room areas. They were at my house bright and early every day and were very professional and courteous. Most importantly, they did excellent work! read more

We used Peeks which has now become Paint Green, and they are absolutely the very best!...We had them paint our bedroom, Eric pointed out the mold on the walls, ....we then had to use a mold inhibitor...so glad they made us aware of this problem...he also suggested other tips that enhanced the end result.. Then, the living room and fireplace was our next project...I cannot compliment the Paint Green team enough ...the preparation, the cleanliness, the care and attention to our house and floors...masking everything so meticuously...and the end result of both projects was perfection......Jorge and Martinez who completed the LR for us were exceptional...as was Eric who made our BR come alive... we So appreciated the consideration, attention to detail and thoughtful comments that enhanced the room. proposal was given clearly and questions answered..thank you all from PaintGreen.... read more

Francisco did a great job with the paint touch ups. I would highly recommend paint green.

Absolutely the best experience! Started with James Beckers' first listening to exactly I thought I wanted done and then making recommendations. I thought maybe my job was too small but that's not how he made it feel; his recommendations were spot on. Mario arrived on painting day on time and returned timely the next day and was so professional. My stairs, I have white risers, looks so great and because of James' paint recommendation, are now a month out and still no scuffs....I'm amazed! Highly recommend! read more

Paintgreen did an awesome job at my house. They did 2 bathrooms and 1 bedroom. Their work was great and Eric was great. I highly recommend.

We hired Jon and his team to paint our one bedroom condo. Let me start off by saying, after day 2 of painting, it was a complete and utter disaster. Without going too much into the details, basically what happened was a guy that was just hired with Paint Green messed up big time. Paint where it shouldn't have been, wrong walls painted, didn't bother taping borders, roller blinds painted on, cheetohs on the floor (lol). It was just BAD. As first time homeowners, I was really just distraught by the whole thing. Long story short, he lied to Jon saying he had experience when clearly he did not. I wish Jon had vetted him better but hey, things happen and lessons were learned on both ends but what's important is Jon took care of us after the mishap and insured everything would be ok. Mistakes happen and I get it. It's what comes after that, that defines a business. Jon ended up bringing it one of his veteran guys (huge shout out to Robert!) to fix and finish the job. I'm a Creative Director and Photographer with a background in design so details are my thing. Robert's attention to detail was so spot on that I knew I could trust him to complete the job as perfect as possible, which is impossible when it comes to painting... but the end result was nearly perfect. Robert did such a great job that we decided to continue with Paint Green to paint our kitchen cabinets. We went from dark brown cabinets to white and blue for the island (see photos, it came out SO good). If you don't have experience with painting cabinets, it's a really long and detailed process especially if you live in a condo where work space is limited. It involves multiple coats of priming and painting with a spray gun that spits paint everywhere so you literally need to cover your place in so much plastic that it looks like a contamination area (see photos). You also need time for them to dry so expect a weeks long process depending on how many cabinet doors you have. They did a great job closing off the workspace so that the smell didn't affect us or my dogs. Robert's craftsmanship is so good that our cabinets look like the original color, as if they had not be painted over. Robert was always punctual and on time which helped keep the routine as normal as possible. I 1000% would use Jon and his team again and would/have recommend him to all my friends and family. Thank you Jon and Robert for taking care of us! read more

ERIC did a good job at painting my garage door with the home association approved color!

Larry did outstanding job on my wood doors i would use him again. Nice man to work with.

Jon Ray takes customer service seriously and makes every effort to ensure his clients are satisfied. Paint Green painted our 1920s wood clad bungalow a few years back. Our exterior sliding and paint was in very bad condition, and Jon Ray warned us that we might have some bubbled paint in a few years time but no worries because he offers a warranty. Unfortunately, he was right but his team came back out and provided an extensive touch up service. House looks great and we're very happy! read more

The entire crew was exceptional and highly professional. Jon showed up on time for the estimate and worked with me on different options. He presented all his licensing, insurance and other important documentation without even being asked. Communication was on point and very clear. Sergio and Valente were the crew members that did the work. They were excellent and always communicated with me along the way. They were very careful and cleaned up after themselves each day. We had zero issues during the whole process but based on the experience I had, I'm certain they'd handle any unforeseen issues professionally and in a timely manner if they had occurred. I give my full endorsement and would recommend to anyone in need of painting. I'll be using them on all future projects. Well done! read more

Wow!! Jon Ray and his team at PaintGreen were awesome! They showed up on time and worked hard to get the job done. Jon stayed in close communication with us. The quote matched the actual cost, so there were no surprises. We felt the pricing was very reasonable and the quality of work was top notch with warranty. We are hooked and will not go anywhere else for our painting needs. Thank you so much, PaintGreen! We appreciate you! read more

Jon Ray very knowledgeable in his industry. We had them paint our cabinets and they turned out beautiful. Jon really knows how to work with paint colors to make the project pop! read more

Jon and PaintGreen exceeded my expectations. They were responsive and responsible at every turn. Jon understands the value of customer service and the importance of detail in his craft. Everything from their technique to their recommended paint venders selection was top quality. When there was an unexpected issue they came out within a day to tend to it and try to resolve it. I wouldn't hesitate in choosing Jon and PaintGreen. They are well worth the price. You would be hard pressed to do better with another company. read more

I hired PaintGreen (now Peek Brothers/PaintGreen) to paint the trim and fascia on my Clairemont home based on the work they did for me in 2012 and faded from sun exposure. James came out to give me an estimate, Lisa helped me set the schedule, and Eric and Jorge did the actual brushwork. All in all, I am very pleased with the results. There was some termite damage from years ago which Eric and Jorge patched and painted, and some bare flashing and some accent trim along the gutters and chimney that were not part of the estimate but which they did anyway. I did not ask them to powerwash the house but it was pretty dusty and cobwebby and they did that as well. The colors were matched perfectly, including a custom color that they had matched at Sherwin Williams and labeled "Rick Brown." The entire job took about three and a half days, in contrast to my neighbors who went for the cheapest available painters done in one day (and apparently didn't bother to use primer). If you want quality painting done, just phone these guys and let 'em do what they do. read more

Peek Brothers Paint Green Painting was amazing from start to finish! James spent an hour and a half to give us an estimate on a leak in our bathroom condo from the toilet wax ring above our unit. He walked us through all of the restoration, drywall, mudding and painting process. He was very detail oriented and extremely professional. We also asked for an estimate to paint just a few walls in the condo that had wear and tear. No pressure to do the whole house and James agreed that the bedroom and family room did not need painting! We were pleased with the final estimate and our crew Eric and Delfino began just a few days later. They were on time at 8:00 a.m. every morning ready to work, listen to our every whim with a smile and positive attitude. Eric and Delfino were a pleasure to be around for four days and we ended up adding more walls to the project since they were so quick and professional. The condo was finished ahead of schedule and looks brand new again. I highly recommend Peek Brothers Paint Green Painting to anyone who is looking for professional, detail oriented painters that will bend over backwards to please their customers! read more

Definitely would recommend. I had PaintGreen do the interior of my condo including all the walls/ceilings for my kitchen, living room, and my vaulted stairway. In the beginning, Jon (the owner) came over for the estimate/quote and he was incredibly professional and useful. He was on time, offered great suggestions and was able to give me a timetable for the job that was convenient for my own benefit. On the day of the job, he introduced me to the crew, and I was able to communicate well with the team. I was able to request certain improvements/"tidying-up" spots on the job and the crew was very professional, non-confrontational and performed my requests with care... basically, they didnt give me any s*** for the very few things I wanted done/redone, and it ended up very nicely. I only have positive things to say, and would definitely recommend Jon and PaintGreen. read more

Paint Green transformed my home to exactly what I dreamed about. Sergio G. And his crew was very professional, friendly, hard working and did everything to make the process as smooth as possible given huge amount of work they had to do ( roughly 120+ cabinet doors, 14 doors, two bedrooms and two bathrooms and stair railings) Reasonably priced. What I appreciated the most is that both Sergio and The owner Jon were always communicating with me on the progress, potential issues, and the outcomes. They are trustworthy and will do anything to make you happy with he end results. Very honest business and will definitely hire them in the future and recommend to my friends and family members with no hesitation. Thank you Sergio, Valente, Jesus and of course Jon! read more

They did a great job, were on time, cleaned up very well each day. We would use PaintGreen again and recommend them for your paint project. Clifford was a pleasure to be around and very helpful in moving beds , cabinets tables and couches. Call them you will not be unhappy read more

These folks do an amazing job. Professional. Clean. Courteous. Prompt. FAST. Have you ever had a home improvement contractor get a job done QUICKER than promised? Well, now I have. We had a fairly good size repainting job done by Paint Green. Our join included paining accent walls in 4 rooms and a complete garage repaint. They masked everything very well and even put paper down on the hardwood floors where they were going to walk. They did some wall patching that also looks like the wall damage wasn't ever there. The foreman came through several times inspecting the work making sure the cut ins were done well enough - which they were. And they finished a day EARLY! This is the second time we have used ahem and will ONLY use Paint Green from now on. Great work - Paint Green! read more

The Project: Almost 70% of my interior walls needed repainting. Three walls were also painted in IdeaPaint Clear - turning them into dry erase walls. All the window sills were also painted and some minor wall damage was repaired (caulking, some dry wall screws removed, etc). Ryan came out to the house, helped us pick colors and got a good idea of what we wanted to do. A few hours later I had a very competitive quote in my email. Time line: The interior painting only took 3 days. The IdeaPaint Clear took extra time, as the walls had to be sanded smooth and re finished first. Another 1/2 day of painting was just for the IdeaPaint product. At 8 am promptly 3 smartly dressed painters (All in white, paint marked clothing) showed up and got to work. There was a clear forman, but they worked quickly and quietly the whole time. I barely heard the painters, the only disturbance was from moving the furniture - completely understandable. Around 4:30 they started to pick up and clean. Everything was moved out of the way -all the paint lived in my garage or stacked neatly on a piece of canvas. Every day they swept and cleared any trace of the day's work. What little paper and plastic covering they used was reused from day to day - unless it was torn or unusable (part of their commitment is executing in an environmentally conscious manor, and it was evident in the attention to detail shown by the painters.). Final Impressions: My walls looks great, the IdeaPaint looks amazing (I have to wait 2 weeks for the paint to "cure"). Not a single drop of paint is on my floor, carpet, or furniture. Their disturbance was minimal, and they even worked around my ridiculous Internet wiring. I will hire them again for my next painting project. read more

I cannot recommend Paint Green highly enough! I just purchased a short-sale condo and it was in complete disarray! The cathedral ceilings had popcorn that was not only outdated but dirty as could be! All of the walls were disgustingly dirty as were the baseboards. I met with Jon Ray to get an estimate and to go over color choices. We ended up with 5 different colors in addition to vertical striping on two walls. They apply different sheens to give it a subtle look. The outcome is stunning! I dropped by all but one of the four days to check on the progress. I was blown away just after day one! The crew, led by Julian, took great pride in their workmanship and it truly showed! They were meticulous throughout the entire process. Bill was the Project Manager and asked me to meet him on day three to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. It was on that day that I realized I had misinterpreted what Julian and I had discussed the day prior and because of that, he had to repaint the kitchen ceiling. Not for one second did he complain! I felt so badly because they were so close to completion and now they'd have to redo what had already been painted. He kept telling me "Don't worry about it - it's no big deal!" Jon and I met on Friday for the final walk through and I couldn't believe the transformation that had taken place! My condo is absolutely gorgeous now! It's hard to imagine that it took less than one week for Jon's team to turn a disaster into a masterpiece! They left my place 1000% better than they found it in and I will be forever grateful for the level of workmanship they delivered. I cannot recommend Paint Green highly enough and can promise you that you won't find a better company to do business with in San Diego! read more

I'm a former General Contractor, and used PaintGreen for an intricate exterior paint job on my home a few months ago. I am used to having to chase down sub-contractors who don't hold up their end of the deal. Paintgreen showed class from my first meeting with the owner/estimator, to the job super, to the staff (like Jose). Everything was done in a timely fashion, the job site was clean when they left. They even came back and did some considerable free painting, after some stucco applied by another contractor had to be worked on (I learned that they do stucco too - next time, I'll go with them). There were too many positive experiences with them to list, but I can't wait to buy a new home that needs paint. If you were my friend, I'd recommend Paintgreen in a heartbeat, knowing you'd thank me for it later. Way to go guys. read more

PaintGreen - Wadsworth "The Wad" B.'s Home in Del Cerro - Painters Near Me - San Diego, California

We have a craftsman house in Northpark that had paint peeling off all over exposing wood and a few spots of rot that needed repair. We called PaintGreen and it was a very quick and easy process...we even had a change of heart with our initial color choice and they rolled with it. They were always there on time when they said they would. The whole team did an excellent job not trampling our plants and at the end of the day you would have never known a work crew was ever there. One thing that tells me a lot about a craftsman is their attention to detail, the crew noticed and replaced some siding that was damaged or missing. We had some pillars rebuilt and included some stonework on those, we asked if they could clean and seal the stones, well they did that but they also sealed some other stone caps we had in the front yard without us asking. In the end there was a couple touch ups that were needed and they came out and took care of them right away. No hassle just excellent service. We are extremely pleased with our choice of PaintGreen...definitely a strong recommendation! read more

Go over the scope of work carefully with mgt and team when the job begins and at the end of each day. It will save on rework.

Jon Ray was timely, professional, and on budget painting the exterior of my house last week. His crew was pretty amazing and pointed out some rotten wood and worked around me while I did the carpentry. They went the extra mile caulking any small cracks, and removing all loose paint before starting with a fresh coat. I've worked on some construction sites, and know how careless people can be. This crew is obviously hand selected, professional and articulate. Couldn't be happier with the results, price and professionalism. read more

Jon and his crew did a great job on our commercial retail space. We just opened a new business, and wanted to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
