I came in to Tuffy (now Mavis Tire) as I was looking for a spot to get my tire rotation and general…read morecar checkup done. I booked my appointment online a few days prior and was surprised and a little skeptical as on the website it said my tire rotations, brake check and general car checkup was free. I was thinking that maybe they would get me once I'm in with some sort of fee or labor. I was wrong! I came in and a gentleman helped me get my profile in their system and within 5 minutes of me getting there, they were already working on my car! There is a gas station and a Starbucks nearby if you need someplace to be but I ended up just staying put in the lobby to see what they are doing to my car. They told me it would be done about 30-40 minutes. Sure enough, 30 minutes later, my car was checked and my tires rotated with a clean bill of health! They told me what I needed to keep an eye on like fluids, etc. but didn't sell me on any service or scare me into getting work done to my car that wasn't needed. I appreciated their honesty. Final thing to settle was the bill - it was indeed free! No hassle, they gave me my work breakdown on my car and sent me on my way! I will definitely be back to this location for my routine maintenance and any other work I need done for my car.

Then when you only need 1 service, he will only offer the most expensive option and lie that they don't have a cheaper option. Unless you pry, and ask again, then they tell you they have it cheaper but it won't be quality. I'm not just a disgruntled customer, I know when I'm being taken advantage of. Do not go here. Go somewhere else. They are a new Mavis and I get it, it's a business and they're trying to make money, but they are liars and will over charge you without any qualms. The management was more trustworthy when it was Tuffy's. Most good reviews are from when it was Tuffy's.

Dropped it off at 10:30am and was assisted by Kevin who was friendly. Called them at 4pm to check in on the status. They informed me that there was a leak in the EVAP system but they could not identify exactly where the leak was and they needed to do a smoke test but would need more time to do it. They asked me to leave it overnight, however, I had to go to work on Monday. So I ended up dropping it back off 7am on Tuesday. Called them at 4:15pm that afternoon to check in on the status. Daniel the manager told me that they did not perform the smoke test. I asked why it was not done since that's the whole reason why I brought it back and left it there for 9 hours. He said he didn't know why the mechanic didn't do it but if I leave it overnight then he will waive the diagnostic fee (~$120). So I left it overnight and used my husbands car to go to work on Wednesday. On Wednesday, my husband called them at 4:45pm and they suspected it was the gas cap that was causing the error message. They were trying to locate the correct gas cap that comes from the dealership. Finally, on Thursday morning we went to pick up my car and they said the gas cap was going to take about a week to come in. So we ended up taking my car and getting the gas cap from the Honda dealership. Although they didn't make me pay for the diagnostic fee, it was still not an ideal experience and seems like it was unnecessarily delayed with poor communication.

Don't bring your car there unless you want to have more issues than the ones you already had!!! For example : I had my wheel bearing and axle replaced on 05/10/2025 and when I went in for a noise complaint they initially told me that it was the wheel bearing. I guess they didn't realize I had that fixed already, so Eric Sharpe made light of it by saying, "it's just a small noise, but most of it is coming from the other axle". How convenient?! Don't try to have a civil conversation with this manager to resolve an issue because you're just wasting your time. It's not in his nature.
