Tiramisu
Christina G.

One of my new favorite restaurants. This place is in a strip mall, very unassuming looking. I found it based on the Yelp reviews so we decided to check it out. I honestly can't name another restaurant in Palm Harbor, but really this is the only one I need. A couple days before I found a reservation on Open Table for 7:30 p.m. I highly recommend making a reservation. This place is small. There was one table for two open, but otherwise it was fully booked. Even though it doesn't look like much outside, inside it's very nice. The clientele did seem to be older retirees, but now that I'm older myself I no longer care what the rest of the restaurant looks like. They have a lot of specials. This isn't the case of a restaurant that only has what's on the menu. Our waitress was great at telling us the prices as she listed each off menu item. She did it all off the top of her head, which was very impressive. Unfortunately, they were out of the lobster bisque (an off menu item) when I tried to order it, so we stuck with the Wild Mushroom Tart, Penne Vodka, Duck A L'Orange and Tiramisu for dessert. Everything was very decadent. The Wild Mushroom Tart was small, but it tasted like the pastry was made from scratch. It was very creamy. I wish I saved my bread to dip into that cream sauce. The Penne Vodka has a kick to it, but was also delicious. My husband really enjoyed it. The Duck A L'Orange was a lot bigger than I was expecting. It was tender and great as well, but I'll probably try something different next time. The Tiramisu was very decadent as well. It randomly had a slight mint taste to me. I liked it, but I would also try a different dessert next time. They have a great selection of port. I actually got port with dessert, which I almost never do, but I was craving it. Prices are very reasonable for this type of dining experience. With tax and tip we left spending about $150 (we had two glasses of wine too). I was very impressed with the evening altogether. The chef even comes out to greet every table. This is one of those places that I'll have to bring my dad next time he's in town. I think he'd enjoy it.

Fabulous fine dining Place not to be missed. I called and left a message to request a reservation for Friday night to celebrate a big anniversary. Massimo himself phoned me back to confirm the reservation. We had the mushroom tart and the duck appetizer, a plate of pasta with butter and fresh pepper. Entrée was the veal chop and filet mignon both came accompanied with delightful, fresh vegetables and a fabulous mashed potatoes. Do not miss the bread and the fine butter that they made with truffles and spices is fantastic. Lemon cello cake for dessert along with a fabulous bottle of wine. Small intimate dining room Massimo comes out, greets all the diners which is spectacular. The staff is attentive. They let us take our time with dinner It is a wonderful place to celebrate almost any occasion.

Apple strudel ice cream caramel sauce

Wonderful experience. Beautiful restaurant. I love our server Bertrand. Service was impeccable. It's so easy to park because of the location. Food very tasty. My favorite dish was the tuna tartare which they call by its Italian name. My second favorite dish was the Apple strudel dessert. My husband enjoyed it with the vanilla ice cream it is supposed to be served with. I substituted mango sorbet for the ice cream, for a slight up charge. The mango sorbet was delicious, and the perfect apple strudel was sweeter than some other strudels I've had. Great liquor and wine selection, including many interesting options by the glass, bottle or half bottle. I appreciate the variety of vegetarian menu choices.

Beautiful atmosphere , amazing staff that were attentive and so full of descriptions when it came to menu questions and letting us know the specials ! All the food was hot , full of flavor , and arrived quickly ! I love that the chef himself comes out to check on you and that he is the only one cooking the food ! Will for sure be back again to try more on the menu !

It was absolutely amazing. But what really got me was everything they did from beginning to end. The service was incredible, but even more than that, everyone was just so genuinely friendly, kind, and welcoming. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has such a special atmosphere. I'm sure my husband had a lot to do with planning the surprises , but the staff completely entertained his mission to make me feel special and they absolutely succeeded. He's the talented chef working magic in the kitchen, while she keeps everything humming along with a warm smile. We met friends for dinner and started with a charcuterie board packed with cool options, including a couple of new-to-us items we really enjoyed. For starters, I dove into the French onion soup--rich, cozy, and just perfect. My friend couldn't get enough of her fresh arugula salad, and the escargot was a total hit, with every bite bursting with flavor. For mains, I had the wild-caught shrimp risotto, which was super creamy and delicious. My husband's beef bourguignon was hearty and packed with rich flavor. Our friends went for the duck leg confit, which she raved about, and the special--a 16-ounce Delmonico steak (really a ribeye) cooked to absolute perfection. Dessert was a so good! We shared the decadent chocolate mousse and an espresso over vanilla ice cream with salted caramel drizzle--both were out of this world. I noticed a few people enjoying the filet mignon, and it's definitely on my list for next time. Chez Colette's cozy vibe means you'll want to book a table ahead of time. It's totally worth the drive to Bel Air Bluffs for a meal that feels like a warm hug from France!

It is a small cafe tucked behind a convenience store. This was about 10:20 on a Tuesday. It is a small but quaint cafe, only two tables were occupied, so seated right away. The server brought us waters and menus. We browsed the good number of items. Now I do love quiche, and it looked great, but my interest went to the Shirted Eggs. New to me. So I went for that. My wife chose the Veggie Omellette, but changed when they did not have Salsa. So she picked the Blueberry French Toast instead. We chatted for a bit and I took photos. Shortly our meals came. I thought the Shirred Eggs would be scrambled but they were added to the bacon and heavy cream, unbroken, so cooked but juicy, and topped with cheddar. It was delicious. And the warm, toasted, baguette was superb. My wife really enjoyed her French Toast, lots of fresh blueberries, fluffy and fantastic. I wish we tried their coffee also but already had several cups this morning. Then we looked around for a baked goods display since server told us they made their own baked goods. None out but they had fresh croissants, so we got a regular and a chocolate to go. Now my wife was driving today, so couldn't resist tasting my regular croissant. Yum. It was still warm and flaky, but I only had 1 bite. Quaint place, nice decorations, great service, great food. Check it out! Plus a nice military discount!

This hidden gem masterfully blends Dutch and French culinary traditions with a Belgian twist, delivering an experience that rivals 4- and 5-star restaurants around the world. From the moment we walked in, we were transported--not just by the warm, intimate ambiance--but by the incredible hospitality. The service was impeccable: attentive without being intrusive, and the entire evening felt personalized, especially when the chef came out to check on our table and chat about the inspiration behind our dishes. That's a rare and special touch. For our meal, I had the beef bourguignon, and I can say without exaggeration--it was perfection. Deeply flavorful, tender, and comforting, it reminded me of a dish I once had at a bistro in the Marolles district of Brussels. My wife ordered the pork tenderloin with a Dijon sauce, which was equally stunning. The sauce had just the right amount of sharpness to balance the richness of the tenderloin. What really sets Sallie's apart is their exceptional wine and beer selection. From Bordeaux and Malbec to Cabernet Franc, their wine list is thoughtful and ideal for pairing with the robust flavors of their menu. And for those leaning into the Belgian influence, they offer an impressive lineup of Belgian beers that round out the experience beautifully. Having been to Brussels several times, we can confidently say that Sallie's Bistro is the real deal. It's not just a meal--it's a culinary journey. Once out of the shell it had a smushed texture it was very odd. The pot pie only had a crust that covered the top no bottom. I would think for $40.00 it would have a pastry bottom. My husband made reservations for our special day. The waitress was excellent she was pulled away from our table to work outside. That was very disappointing and it made our experience unenjoyable. She was running around trying to help everyone, it was obvious she was overwhelmed. They gave us a dessert to share for our anniversary, that was very disappointing and it didn't taste good at all. We paid almost $400.00 for two meals, it would have been nice if they gave us two desserts for our wedding anniversary. We decided to leave early because a group of loud rowdy people came in and sat right beside our table about 15 or 20. They definitely disturbed the relaxing vibe. It definitely did not feel like fine dining, that loud group ruined the atmosphere for everyone else and the manager did nothing. He should have asked them to tone it down. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. * Update - I sent an email to the customer service at Boulon Brasserie. It took a very long time for me to receive a response. I received a follow up email from the General Manager asking me to contact him. I called but was unable to reach him for weeks. He asked me to tell him about my experience. I explained that our lobster didn't taste fresh it was mushy. The seafood pot pie had no flavor at all and it was very disappointing. I had the pleasure of dining in Paris and the food at Boulon Brasserie was not up to par. Also we had an issue with the loud noise of a dinner party that changed the atmosphere. After speaking with Mr. Carlos Robles, General Manager he said he was looking forward to turn me and my husband into an advocate of Boulon Brasserie | 1001 Water St. Mr. Robles sent us a gift card for $100. dollars to return and partake in more fine dining. However with the high prices on the menu, this amount clearly would not cover the cost of two meals. We spent $400 on dinner to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary and he sent us $100 to make up for our bad experience. Although we appreciate the gesture. I don't feel as if I want to put any more of our money into this endeavor, because clearly we would have to pay additional funds to cover the expenses. It's just not worth it. One bad experience is enough.
