    Sea bass. Delicious!
    Nataliya Z.

A very lovely French bistro with authentic cuisine. Foie gras was of a good quality, escargots as usual delicious, our choice of cheese and charcuterie did not disappoint. My husband enjoyed his chicken Normandy and I loved my very well prepared sea bass. We finished our spectacular dinner with pear Antoinette which was mouthwatering. I highly recommend this lovely gem with a very professional service and cosy ambiance. I would like however to make only one suggestion to a chef: please, replace these black stone boards that you serve your food on by the normal plates. It will be so much better looking and more comfortable to eat your wonderful dishes. Thank you.

    Soooo good. Here's the menu.

This is the hidden gem of Belleair. The best food, service, and ambience around. I also love it here because they have SO many gluten free options. They have an incredible wine list. Love the people and LOVE the food.

New favorite! Quaint and intimate. Exceeded expectations! The menu is tight and right and every item ordered was outstanding. Fresh bread with oil and fresh herbs. French onion soup: my boyfriend said it is the best he has ever had. Not salty and very light... in a good way. Charcuterie board with a moderate amount and good pairings. Brie, feta, goat, bleu, garlic toast, grapes, raspberry, gherkins, olives, and meats. Chicken Normandie: cooked to perfection with a creamy mustard sauce and butternut puree. Filet Chateaubriand: cooked medium rare and topped with garlic butter, parsley, and shallots - the best I have ever had. I really prefer my steaks cooked more, but this was excellent. Amazing. Dessert trio: chocolate mousse, profiteroles, and creme brûlée - alllll were perfect Crepes: classic butter and sugar = perfection We brought our own bottle of 2019 Twomey Pinot Noir for a $25 corking fee. Paired PERFECTLY with everything but desserts. One of my favorite meals in a long long time. Wow. Staff was incredibly personable and friendly. We were running late for our reservation and they were very understanding and accommodating.

I loved Chez Colette! Took me back to the years spent overseas while in the Army. Thank you Colette!!

In my younger days I was consigned to French Onion Soup (soupe à l'oignon), maybe Frog Legs (cuisses de grenouilles) or possibly Snails (escargots) and not favoring most of these selections. With culinary maturing, I gained an enhanced palate and it has been incredible to learn and savor the nuanced variations French Culture has to offer. Part of the enjoyable, but also some dismay, has been searching out the best bistros that can offer the delight in such delicacies! I am inclined in classifying Colette's as one of my top go to French Restaurants visited across the country. Firstly, I must commend Collette, whom I met during our recent visit, for her perfect bistro ambience, the extraordinary food, but also her demeanor, personae and genial way. She is the badge and ethos to the culture and food she lovingly delivers in her small, but extraordinary café. Colette's is the epitome of what a French Bistro should and must be! This patron-friendly, small neighborhood bistro feel, communal and conviviality-friendly atmosphere, brings you to another element of cuisine. It is no wonder Chez Colette Pommet and her husband Bernard Jacob, have 5-star critic reviews on 75% on her reviews (not so much a proper use of this word in this case!). All in keeping with the bistro's philosophy '...to bring a little bit of our French Cuisine and our passion of wine to your table.' If your desire is to find the right bistro, anywhere in the country, here it is. Our delightful experience included a magnificent rendering of their Duck Foie Gras - a very delicate rendition on an equally great toasted brioche, enriched by berrie and onions chutney. My wife was fascinated by a superbly prepared Chicken Normandie, consisting of an excellent portion of braised chicken prepared flawlessly in cream mustard sauce. I was impressed with a superbly meticulously arranged and perfectly seasoned Seafood Pasta with absolutely tender and tasty fresh sea scallops with bountiful amount of shrimp. We enhanced our dinner by having Domaine Bernier, Sauvignon Blanc, Loire, and a of Vouvray, Domaine Pichot Chenin Blanc, both from France. Needless to say - the service was exceptional, the food fantabulous, the ambience extraordinary - Chez Colette makes you feel at home with her humbleness, and extraordinary personality which exuded beyond her COVID-required mask! The food was amazing, and all put together made for a fantabulous gastronomic evening experience to reminisce and compare with in the future. Chez, our best wishes to you and yours through these trying times: we hope and expect to come back, hopefully sooner than later - 'nuff said! Bon appétit to all French Cuisine lovers!

In addition to pastries, they have cookies, macaroons, quiches, crepes, breakfast sandwiches, beverages, and more. You can dine there or take away. They have an efficient service process where you order the counter. The place feels both beachy and French. Such a wonderful find!

It wasn't bad but also disappointingly not great food wise. Service was pleasant and they brought items out quickly since it wasn't real busy on a Saturday lunchtime. Parking up front was easy. Staff was nice and friendly. Order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Quiche with bacon mushrooms was just ok. Lacked seasoning, richness and depth of flavor. Not bad but not great. The pressed pâté panini with cornichons had a crunch and iceberg lettuce. The croissants missed the laminated butter pastry taste and flakiness. The raspberry beignet wasn't overly sweet but tasted more bready than donut beignet. After that, we still ordered a lemon sugar crepe that missed the mark. It leaned more savory undertones without the lightness, tart and sweetness. More meh. I tried adding more sugar. Was it the lemon in the jar instead of fresh squeezed? The batter? The whipped cream didn't help. Oh well, we tried. All in all folks seem to like it, but I wouldn't really say it's a Parisian cafe or a patisserie that I'd make a long drive. If you haven't had a great French bakery or staying in Pinellas or just want some for the beach, it's great. We were disappointed by expecting more than it was. Unfortunately.

The environment was so cozy and magical. It was a wonderful feel and the food transported you to France. My spouse loved sitting in France outside and dining and the establishment reminded him of that. He lived there for several years. Then they moved to Indian Rocks Beach and since that move we had not been in. But a few months ago we found out where they moved to. Last night my son wanted to take us out to eat for Mother's Day since he has to work today. We happily drove 1 hour and 20 minutes to get there. The environment has lost its appeal and its mundane. Which is not the end because we came also for the food. My son ordered lamb chops which were one bite pieces of lamb on a the bone and there were 3. The gravey lacked any reduction and or flavour. It was pretty much tasteless. My spouse ate one of the chops to try it and agreed. I tasted the sauce off his plate. The cook on the lamb was good. My son was very disappointed as he loves lamb. When he said something to the women who owns it she brushed him off as it was no big deal and claimed no one has ever complained about the lamb before. Which is a blanted lie just look at the reviews. I personally find that hard to believe. I ordered Bouillabaisse, which is a personal favourite of mine. Due to her attitude towards my son I said nothing. I ate a few bites and took the rest home and threw it out. The scallops and shrimp are chewy. The monkfish was overcooked and the salmon was extremely fishy tasting. The only dinner item that was good was the Steak Diana that my husband ordered. After we ordered crème brulle missing its an upcharge for the flame it was served cold. The sugar crust was burnt and so thick it stuck to our teeth. We left part of it and all shared it instead of each of us ordering desserts. My son who paid thought maybe she didn't understand and thought he would say something before leaving because the meal at $190 with 1 beer in the mix was a bit high for food that was NOT good. She was cold and so what about it. So he left rather upset. Which upsets me. I find it hard to believe that being French or not one would care so little about their guests feeling were towards their food. For this reason we will not return. There are other French establishments that we can dine at and the fact that there is nothing I can't cook for myself. But sometimes I just like it made for me. It was for Mother's Day after all.

The ambiance is definitely a highlight -- we sat outside on Water Street with nice lighting and a great vibe. Service was good, and the bottle of wine we got was great as well. I'm so sorry, wish I knew his name. He was the only male server there at the time so hopefully he gets credit. We made a reservation for dinner & walked in about 6:30pm. We waited only a minute maybe at the podium. It's in a strip mall which is odd for such an upscale place but it was kind of business casual not formal. We were seated in a comfy booth by our server. There was even a card sitting on the table, signed by the staff for our anniversary. Very sweet. This was our first time here so he showed us various specials on the menu. They had NYE specials since it was the 30th so we ordered from that. The drink menu is very small but I'm confident the bartender could have made me anything I asked for. We did not order bread, it's not included but we also did not want to fill up on it. I was dying to try the onion soup & was actually glad he recommended the mini size. It allowed us to try the soup but not fill up on it. I would totally return just for this soup! It wasn't long before our dinners were ready. Once it was in front of me I was honestly shocked at the raw beef but, it was truly seared & sliced to give it that presentation. I normally will not touch rare beef but this was actually delicious! The food was so good & fresh. The drinks were strong, not watered down at all. I actually had to get a Togo box for half my meal but it was a great lunch the next day. We did take home desserts as well which were also perfect. Our dinner was $200 which is quite steep but it was our anniversary & we truly enjoyed it. We will definitely return. I wish they did carry out for the soup. I think I'd order it every week if they did.. Overall I have zero complaints. The ambiance is not overly stiff either. They've made it so it's a mix of casual & elegance combined. If you'd like to dress up, go for it! Thank you, Parlor House for an amazing anniversary dinner.

When we were here last (as you can see in the attached photos) there were dark curtains blocking out the very casual plaza, white table cloths, dimmer lighting, and a stage at the front for live jazz music. It really felt transformative and intimate. This time when we walked in we were greeted by a beta fish tank which was incredibly odd lol, all of the curtains were wide open, no live music, wooden tables, confusing decor, it was super bright and so, sooo so loud. Tables were crammed together and you could tell the kitchen and bar were struggling with volume. I wouldn't mention this at all if the entrees weren't 50$. For the very pricy food and cocktails you expect an elevated interior- and the vibe felt really confusing. It's a shame because the food is exceptional- something to keep in mind if you're looking for a romantic date night. Excellent food romantic vibes Still worth trying if you're in the area- just adjust expectations. Dress code online business casual but folks were mostly in shorts and t-shirts.
