Monika is a cozy restaurant tucked away in Largo. The interior walls are wooden, and it makes you feel like you're in a cabin! We were a group of 9 who made a reservation ahead of time. They combined some tables to accommodate us. Two friends are vegan and the chef was kind enough to create a butternut squash dish for them to enjoy! I had a warm goulash on a cold Florida winter day. It was very hearty and filling. I also had some of my fiancé's schnitzel with gravy. The gravy was delicious and complemented the dish well. I also dipped French fries in it. So delicious! My friends and I enjoyed gathering at Monika's European Kitchen.

Soup in kettle over fire with all the fixings yes please!!ate half of the sausage and pretzel app too fast sorry

Amazing! European, cozy atmosphere specializing in German and Hungarian cuisine. The service and attention to detail (white tablecloth) as well as the food blew us away. We've all been waiting for a place like this since the German Bistro closed. The soups are like nothing you have ever experienced and the schnitzels are as good at it gets any where even in Germany and Austria! (Been to both multiple times) Fairy limited menu that's entitled "opening menu" so hoping they expand in the future! Hoping they offer potato pancakes and open for lunch in the future!!

Super experience at this charming Hungarian restaurant in Bradenton…read more We have never tried Hungarian food, so this sparked our attention. Walked in and let them know it was our first time and Alexa took care of us all the way through. We ordered mushroom crepe that was very tasty. It was called Bakonyi Palacsinta. We shared our entree which was a potato crusted chicken with salad. This is called Karpati Borzacska. Both were amazing and tasty. The cherry on top was our dessert which is a chocolate rum sponge cake with walnut and raisin with chocolate syrup. Sounds rich right? It was not. It was a perfect balance and not too sweet believe it or not. It is called Somloi. The restaurant is charming and shows its Hungarian culture with additional market items on sale and it also shows its family background with the pictures by the bathroom. Loved our experience here and our service. Def happy our first Hungarian experience was right here.

Our appetizer choice was potato pancakes (latte style) with sour cream. This was good start, nicely done brown but not dried & crunchy. The chicken paprikash was on spaetzle with nice sauce and dallop of sour cream. There was plenty of chicken, but a little more sauce would have helped. The service was excellent and very personal. We were happy with value and quality of meal. We will return to try more. The blended Eastern European food we grew up around was different. This is more traditional.

This family-run spot, led by Ken and Andi, delivers an inviting experience with its open-air chicken coop, vibrant fruit trees, and a cozy farmstand open Thursday through Sunday. With its standout cinnamon rolls, homemade jellies, and the option to pop in for a quick treat during the day, Wingspread Farm earns a solid five stars. The baked goods are the heart of the menu, crafted from scratch with natural ingredients and no preservatives. The cinnamon rolls are legendary, rich Danish pastry swirled with sweet cinnamon filling and topped with a creamy glaze that melts in your mouth, available fresh on Saturdays. Pecan sticky buns ooze with gooey caramel and crunchy nuts, while the rotating selection of cookies in flavors like chocolate chip or unique specialties keeps things exciting. The artisan bread lineup shines with French baguettes that are crusty outside and soft inside, plus Hungarian soft milk bread that's perfect for toasting. Farm-fresh eggs from uncaged chickens add a protein-packed touch, and the seasonal produce, like mangoes, guavas, limes, and avocados from on-site trees, brings the garden to your plate. Don't miss the homemade jams and jellies--guava strawberry or habanero mango varieties burst with authentic fruit flavors, made without chemicals for a pure, tangy spread. Savory options like Hungarian salami and fine cheeses round out the offerings, making it easy to build a picnic or charcuterie board. The value comes from the freshness and variety, with generous portions that feel indulgent yet approachable. You can swing by during the day for a single cinnamon roll or jar of jelly, ideal for a quick coffee break or snack run, with the farmstand's laid-back setup encouraging relaxed browsing. Compared to big-box bakeries, Wingspread's handmade quality and local sourcing make every item feel special without excess. They even have several options for those gluten intolerant like my wife and daughter. The service is personal and heartfelt, with Ken and Andi greeting visitors like old friends, sharing stories about their sustainable practices or the chickens roaming freely. They're quick to offer samples or tips on pairing bread with their jellies, creating a community vibe that's as nourishing as the food. The farm is clean and disability-friendly, with paved paths and covered seating for comfortable lingering, plus the joyful sight of chickens doing their thing adds a fun, kid-friendly element. Wingspread Farm is more than a bakery; it's a slice of rural joy in Valrico. Whether grabbing a quick pastry or stocking up on eggs and produce, the wholesome treats and welcoming spirit make every visit delightful. For its exceptional baked goods, fresh farm offerings, and genuine hospitality, Wingspread Farm gets five stars. It's a must-visit for anyone craving artisan flavors and a touch of farm life.
