Food comes out fast and hot. It's all delicious. Service is great and it comes with the ambiance. Ambiance is very calm and peaceful. Not too loud and just the right amount of people at all times. Great spot. Drinks are a little pricey but drinks would be better if just a tad more vodka.

Super cute decor inside with plenty of seating options. There are 5 parking spots including handicapped on the paved part of their lot and an additional amount in the gated area accessible from Platt or S blvd. The service was fantastic from the host, to the server to the food runners. I ordered the Samson Original which they were out of, and instead got Kozel which was fantastic. My friends got the St. Pete Mule which you can swap out for any of their vodka flavors how ever the bartender says it's the best the way it comes! For food, my friends got the Borscht, Serbian Pelmeni and the Khinkali. They had nothing but raving reviews. I ordered the Veggie Grill which came with mostly unseasoned vegetables but delicious potatos. I will be quick to return to explore more of their flavored vodkas and some of their yummy sounding desserts.

We came for a birthday and this place was amazing! The service was fantastic just as the food. Chicken Kyiv melted in your mouth, the board had numerous meats with extra fixings and worth the cost. Olivier salad is exactly how my family would make it so hats off! Best place to eat if you're looking for something different.

Came a few weeks ago and absolutely fell in love with this cuisine! Our server gave us great recommendations and I couldn't pick a favorite out of any of them. I loved how authentic the food and the atmosphere was, you could tell they put a lot of love and care into this place. Need to go back asap

Solid experience overall at Babushka's Hyde Park, but a mixed bag for me. The food was the highlight--the dumplings (pelmeni) were absolutely incredible, and the sample platter we split was interesting, flavorful, and the perfect portion size for two. Really unique Eastern European dishes that stood out. The inside decor is super cute and cozy with a cool dacha vibe, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout. The place was packed, which says something about its popularity. That said, the location feels a bit odd, and we ended up sitting outside since it was so busy--the outdoor dining area isn't my favorite (not as charming as inside), though it was still pleasant enough. Prices also felt a little high given the setting and location. Worth trying for the food alone, especially if you're into authentic Russian/Ukrainian flavors!

Ordered the lula kebab this time and it was divine!!!!! I also love how it's served directly on the skewer. So fun! The food here is so high quality is everything I've tried across like 4 visits has been so delicious.

Loved this place! The ambiance was really cool and seemed authentic. Service really great too they were really helpful and knowledgeable. The sample platter was delicious and it was the perfect taste of everything on the menu. I would definitely come back again just for that!

Babushka's is such a fun and cozy dining experience. We had been once before and returned for Valentine's Day and it did not disappoint. Previously, we had enjoyed dumplings, Khachapuri, and Chicken Kiev - all of which I'd recommend! For Valentine's Day, they had a planned multi-course menu for a set price and it was a lovely experience. Food arrived quickly, servers were friendly and attentive, and everything was delicious. Such a great date night spot.

Cozy, inviting, and full of authentic Eastern European flavors! The Siberian Pelmeni and Adjaruli Khachapuri are must-tries--comfort food at its best. Really enjoyed the Beef Stroganoff and Lamb Shashlik. Everything I ordered was SO good. The vibe is warm and home. Great for a casual dinner or a date night! What I ordered: - ADJARULI KHACHAPURI - SAMSA - SIBERIAN PELMENI - BEEF STROGANOFF - LAMB SHASHLIK - BIRD'S MILK DESSERT

First time trying this cuisine. It's soooooooooooo good. Everything taste so good, I don't remember any of their names but it all tastes good. Except the green soda, it's disgusting lol and it's my fault. If u get the meatball, be careful when u cut through it, it has soup in it and will burst out. It went all over my pants haha. -1 since Service was actually very slow, there were a lot of servers but they were all just wandering around. It took about 10 mins for us to get service every single time we need something. It's not acceptable.

Sampler Platter, this was the best choice hands down

We accidentally made reservations for the wrong location. Luckily, another party no showed and they were able to accommodate us party of 7. There was a live musician playing that night (Saturday) Russian dumplings - very yummy Cabbage Vareniki dumplings - this in my opinion was better than the Russian ones but try both! Soviet Lemonade Tarragon - This is a carbonated soda drink. It had hints of vanilla and licorice. It was jolly rancher green colored and pretty good. I'd like to try the pear one next time St. Pete Mule - light on the alcohol Sampler platter - if you don't know what to get, get this! It was amazing. My favorite out of the dish was Golubtzy Chicken Shashlyk - The meat was so tender and juicy! Syrniki- Farmers Cheese pancake, this had the texture of cheesecake with the outer crisp of a baked good. Overall the food was amazing and great experience, I can't wait to try again

So glad I finally tried this place after years of driving by it! I've never had Russian food before so I was very excited for a new experience. The mushroom bliny were probably my favorite thing - so savory, creamy with a delicious dill sauce. My boyfriend was amazed by his borscht with so much flavor. The samsa were perfectly crispy and flaky. We got the entree sampler to split so we could try everything -- beef stroganoff was my favorite, the lamb rice was a little dry and their stuffed cabbage was tasty. I was torn between 4 and 5 stars for this place, but decided to give them 5 because of their authentic feel, great service, and beautiful ambiance. Also, cocktails were AMAZING. One of the best Moscow mules I've had in a long time.

We started with the Blinchiki (Eastern European pancakes) stuffed with ground beef. They were cheesy, soft, and savory, with a slight crisp on the outside while remaining tender overall. The beef was very tender and well seasoned...comforting and satisfying. For my entrées, I ordered the Chakhokhbili and the Khinkali. The Chakhokhbili featured a flavorful tomato-based sauce with red bell peppers, tomatoes, chili pepper, cilantro, and garlic. The chicken thighs were super tender, and the blend of herbs in the sauce was beautiful. The flavor itself was excellent; however, a downside was that parts of the dish were cold while others were warm, which took away from the experience a bit. The Khinkali (Georgian dumplings) were huge and served piping hot. They were sprinkled with seasoning and came with sour cream and salsa on the side, which complemented them well. Overall, great flavors and a cozy atmosphere. I'd definitely return and hope for more consistent temperature on the dishes next time. Aside from the temperature issue for my one dish (which I docked one star for), this spot was great!

The food is really really good. We were delightfully surprised at how tasty the Dill Pickle soup is. The Pierogis we ordered pan sautéed and they were all very tasty. The Cold Cuts were all really nice too. The decor is fairly dark in black and dark red with alligator print table and booth coverings. There is also a store inside selling a decent selection of candies, canned goods, sausages and frozen pierogi to take home. Service is friendly and as attentive as we wanted. This is a highly recommended place to experience. We can't wait to return on a future trip to the area.

I had such high hopes for this place. :( The selection is very limited and perhaps I missed something (entirely possible), but I did not see a price list for the deli case. We were flooded with nostalgia and left in hopes of dining in on a less-busy day. I ordered two meats, including the German bologna. During the drive home, my family and I noticed a terrible odor-- the kind where we started pointing fingers at one another. We never suspected that the package from the deli was the source. When we opened it at home, a nauseatingly funky, ammonia-type smell came from the German bologna. While the liverwurst smelled okay, I could not trust it after the bologna and decided against keeping it. Wasted time and money. Dang! The staff is super nice and that was truly a plus.
