New spot alert! I went in thinking I would be limited to only the sides with a lot of alterations, but to my surprise, the menu was newer than what's online! They told me they are actively looking to add more vegetable dishes to the menu so I got the eggplant dish and it was so fabulous. A real high dining experience. The flavors and texture of the dish was basically a flavor explosion in my mouth. If you do or dont like eggplant, you still must try this.

Lumbre was such a fun experience! The new plaza and surrounding area in NoHo were great to explore and it's becoming such a cool, walkable area. We sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen, which was such a fun way to watch the chefs work. The ambiance overall was really nice. We shared the pan con tomate (a staple!), short rib cannelloni, croquettes (YUM), and patatas bravas. The tuna crispy rice was definitely the standout for me, though everything was delicious. We had such a good time and would absolutely go back!

Love the new addition to S Tampa! Lumber is a wood fired inspired tapas menu and everything was divine! They even had high chairs for the kiddos which I appreciated. Their cocktail list was extensive and fun - build uh our own G&T was a nice touch! The tapas was fabulous! Our favorites: tortilla de patatas, tartare, pulpo. Would skip the basque cheesecake wasn't my fav.

We had a great experience dining at Lumbre for the first time. The space is absolutely gorgeous with a huge bar and an open kitchen with a chef's counter to watch the masters at work. The menu is traditional yet creative and interesting, and our service was excellent with the entire staff looking after us. Everything we ordered was prepared perfectly, pillowy potato center with crispy outside, tender octopus, sizzling shrimp, that insanely good chocolate sauce. The salad was one of the best we've had, packed with flavor and texture with just the right amount of dressing. We both thought a lot of the food was mild. The patatas bravas was prepared so well, but there was no spice and the shrimp was beautifully presented but we wished for more garlic or spice. Dessert was fantastic and flavorful. So glad this restaurant is here and can't wait to try more dishes.

Every other Spanish restaurant in Tampa can just go ahead and close. This is one of the best dining experiences I've had in the entire state of Florida from start to finish, and might I add, even better than food I've had in Spain. The attention to detail was the first thing that really stood out to me and says so much about a place. We sat and the chef's counter and it was like watching art. The playlist was great, chic interior (I especially loved the bathroom), the drinks were delicious, and our server Jorge was amazing. Loved his charismatic energy and all his recommendations were on point. We tried the matrimonio, croquetas, pulpo, and tartar to start and woah. The matrimonio was unlike anything I've ever tried. A full explosion of flavor at first bite. The wood fired pulpo is right up there with some of the best I've ever had. Really enjoyed the tartar and the croquetas were so creamy and dreamy on the inside. The star of the show was obviously the dry aged chuletón -- 26oz ribeye which we ordered with the patata bravas per Jorge's rec. I kid you not, this was better than any steak I've had in this city and yes, I've tried all of the big name steakhouses. The steak was incredibly flavorful, grilled to perfection with the perfect crust, yet melt in your mouth tender. The potatoes were crispy, perfect amount of sauce, and the perfect compliment to the ribeye and piquillos. We ended the night with dessert and we had to go with the torrijas which is like the fanciest French toast you'll ever have. Fun fact, it's an Easter dish in Spain and it's hard to find outside of that time of year so I was ecstatic to see it live on this menu! Of course, it did not disappoint. I will surely be dreaming about this experience until my next visit. Cannot recommend enough!

**GOAT ALERT** $8 Pan Con Tomate I came here on Friday night at 9pm and it there wasn't an empty seat in the restaurant or at the bar. I had no idea how popular this place already is. Downside, it is so loud in here. Think of like riding a roller coaster loud. I was a little confused too because when you walk in there is a massive bar to the right, but apparently that is reservations only even though it is at the bar. The bar that you're allowed to walk in and sit at is to the left. It's a lot smaller with far fewer seats. I had to stand around for like 15 minutes until someone got up. And as soon as they did it was a mad rush to get a seat. I started my night with a $16 Mezcal Berica. It was just ok. Pretty small and not a very strong smoky mezcal taste. The garnish it is served with is ham which I've never seen before. First food item of the night was the $8 Pan Con Tomate. Or if you're in Phillly, known as a tomato pie. OMG, I have been looking for this ever since I was in Philly a few months ago. Finally a place in Tampa that can make this. When I come back, I might seriously just order 5 of these and eat them all until I'm full. By far and away the best item of the night. Then, I tried the $13 pigs in a blanket. They were terrible, do not order. After that, I tried the $10 Patatas Bravas and they are a borderline GOAT item. Another place in LA does this better, but these were super good. Definitely recommend trying these. I tried a $15 Fino y Fresco and it wasn't good at all. Do not order. Lastly, I tried a a $15 Lumbre Old Fashioned and it was made as it is supposed to be. This is the only drink of the 3 that is acceptable. For dessert, I had the $10 churros. These weren't any good either. Small, hard, and the chocolate dipping sauce wasn't great. Seriously, come here and only order: $8 Pan Con Tomate 3x $10 Patatas Bravas 2x Get cocktails from somewhere else.

Such a beautiful new place, the atmosphere is great, with good music and beautiful decoration. I went for drinks and apps and they were good, I do think it's a little bit pricey. The only bad thing was that we went there a week earlier to make a reservation for a party of 14. The hostess came to our table to confirm the reservation. We showed up on the day of the reservation, and to our surprise, we weren't in their system. Fortunately, we were able to squeeze in a couple of high-tops and enjoy the rest of the night.

So excited to check out this new place on Rome. Love the space- so open, inviting and huge 2 bars. Got 2 bar seats on a Wednesday night, busier than I'd thought it be! However first impression was our bartender giving us the WEAKEST pour of wine I've ever seen. Was about half a glass so that made me bummed out. We made sure to ask the OTHER bartender for a refill and thankfully he knew the correct pour for a glass of wine. For food, pan de tomate was refreshing and delicious with beautiful bread. Tuna tartare was delicious - I wish there were more than 2 pieces! Beef cannelloni was phenomenal. The mushrooms on top were a beautiful addition. Lastly, the salad with caper berries and cheese was the perfect crispy greens we needed with the heavier cannelloni. Overall, fantastic tapas place! Hopefully will be back soon to taste the paella :)

I had such a great experience at Lumbre! We ordered a TON of food so we could try a little bit of everything, which is definitely the way to do it here. The whole menu is made for sharing and we honestly didn't have a bad dish. We tried the octopus, croquettes, short rib, tuna crispy rice, bikini, and so much more. The octopus was cooked perfectly, the croquettes were SO good, and the short rib was probably one of my favorites. The tuna crispy rice was another favorite and I would 100% order it again. Even with everything we ordered, we still managed to save room for the churros and cheesecake and I'm glad we did because both were amazing. I also loved the atmosphere. It feels upscale and fun without being too formal, and it's a great place to go with a group because you can order a bunch of different things for the table and try everything. The service was great too, especially considering how many dishes we ordered. Such a fun addition to Tampa and definitely somewhere I'd recommend for a date night, dinner with friends, or if you just want to order half the menu like we did We'll definitely be back!

We dined in on opening night. The restaurant is very nice. Its very large and open with lots of seating and windows. The renovated building is nice. They have a large bar that overlooks the kitchen as well which is a nice touch. The menu is small, but its got everything you would . We ordered the Gambas Al Ajillo Tortilla (this is like an egg with potatoes) Paella and a Iberico pork entree. Cocktail: La Huerta.

Love a menu format that lets you try a little bit of everything! Perfect for sharing, sampling, and ordering a few different dishes for the table. Seems like everything on the menu is worth trying but the patatas bravas and cannelloni were my favorites

    Amanda D.

Visited Lumbre for the first time last week and was really impressed with the restaurant, food and staff! We had a reservation but still had to wait quite some time but I will say it was worth the wait. I had an expresso martini and it was made perfectly! We also ordered a few tapas and they were all delicious. You have to get the pan con tomate, this is one of the top dishes we tried. I also really enjoyed the pigs in a blanket too, I loved that they weren't traditional and the sausage inside was more like chorizo. I can't wait to go back to lumbre to try more things! The paellas look amazing so that's definitely next on my list! Restaurant is gorgeous inside with an open concept kitchen which was nice to see because not a lot of places have this. I highly recommend a reservation!

We visited Lumbre on opening night, and wow... it's a whole vibe. The space is beautiful, but what really stood out was the open kitchen and chef's counter. Watching the team work added so much to the experience and made the meal feel incredibly interactive. Chef Nick was fantastic and is clearly the heartbeat of the restaurant. His passion comes through in every detail. GM Lauren was incredibly friendly and made it a point to stop by and greet every table, which really set the tone for the evening and made everyone feel welcome. Katerina, the sommelier, was gracious in taking the time to walk us through the Spanish wine list and answer all of our questions. Everything we tried was excellent, and we're already looking forward to coming back to explore more of the menu and cocktail program. An unexpected highlight was Gabriel delivering our espresso cocktails. He has the best energy, and his enthusiasm was contagious. We will absolutely request his service when we return! Pro tip: End your meal with the carajillo and/or the classic espresso martini made with Tequila Ocho Reposado. Both were outstanding and the perfect finish to the evening. One bonus: parking was surprisingly easy. There's a public lot directly across the street. We can't wait to come back!

Skipped the sit-down cafeteria side and grabbed the counter seating instead, which had a fun bar-style setup. Service was fast -- they got our water order in immediately, and we followed up with a large café con leche. Plenty of coffee for the price, though the red plastic cup was a letdown compared to a proper mug. Food came out in under five minutes, which is impressive for how good it was. I got the Milanesa -- a breaded steak in red sauce -- with yellow rice and black beans on the side, and it was excellent for the price. My wife had the Ropa Vieja with yucca and Moros rice, and it didn't disappoint: tender, soft beef with rich tomato sauce and just a hint of olive coming through. We also added a side of tostones with their garlic sauce, which were absolutely delicious. For a quick stop before the mall, this exceeded expectations -- great flavor, fast service, and solid prices. Would go back even without the mall as an excuse.

Offspring's strawberry daiquiri was also quite refreshing. My wife ordered the empanadas and the half 1905 salad and I ordered the half and half......half Cuban and half 1905 salad. My wife should have added 'bring them together' but she didn't and the server didn't bother to ask so the empanadas came out and everything else came out 15 minutes later. My wife had a cocktail and the bill was $60.20. Issues to fix: 1)I ordered a Coca Cola, $4.00 and in 92 degree weather it melts in 5 minutes. We were there for an hour and not one time did she ask if I'd like a refill. 2)When she made the 1905 table side she literally 'dropped' a handful of salad ON THE FLOOR between my wife's and my seat......she kind of chuckled, gave us our salads and walked away. She literally left the SALAD ON THE FLOOR THE ENTIRE MEAL! During the course of our meal probably 20 employees walked by and never bothered to pick it up. That in itself was the epitome of laziness and complete lack of respect to the customer. Our bill was $60.20 and I tipped $12 which normally I'm a 30% tipper and I could kick myself for giving her 20%. She deserved zero. I know I will never get a response from management but do you think I will ever come back? Nyet.
