    Tiramisu with two spoons
    Mike F.

We have been anxiosley waiting the opening of new Aledo Grill restaurant. We noticed it in the northeast corner of the Walmart plaza on main street in Dunedin. They open at 4:00 PM daily and we arrived early on a Saturday to get a seat. Next time we come we will call for a reservation which is suggested. Maryanne, our server, seated us quickly and took our drink order. This gave us time to take in the romantic decor and enjoy the relaxing piano music on the sound system. The good part of arriving early is that they offer early bird specials from 5:00 to 7:00 of which we took advantage. I ordered the Picanha steak with broccoli and street corn sides. The steak was made to my requested medium and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they also pay close attention to the sides as my broccoli was expertly charred. The street corn on the cob was served in two pieces and charred with a nice sauce and grated cheese, delicious. My wife had the Tuscan goat cheese chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The chicken was smothered with mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach and goat cheese, excellent. Again the sides were special with mashed potatoes and asparagus to die for. We decided to extend our romantic evening by ordering the tiramisu and coffee for desert. We will definitely be back.

They were both enjoyed tremendously Not a lot of wine and beer options, but it was perfect for what we ordered. The exterior of the building was nothing to brag about, but the interior was neat, well laid out, and clean. The owners of the restaurant were up front to greet dinners. The waitress was prompt and attentive. Mirage features a lunch buffet, so I was able to sample small portions of a lot of offerrings. My first plate was filled with selections from the cold salad station (hummas, pita, Persan picket, baba ganosh, etc.). The entree station had four different rice (balas) preparations. There was Basmati rice, a savory rice and two of the balas were sweetened with fruit and spices. All were tasty. The proteins were primarily chicken selections, but there was a beef koobideh that was also delicious. There were a broad selection of lentil and vegetable stews, so I made multiple trips to the station eating them as a side dish to a protein, over basmati rice and savory rice preparations. It may have been a cultural fax paux, but I treated the falafel like a cornbread muffin as I enjoyed the stewed vegetables and lentils. It was a good meal polished off with a serving of baklava.

This week I visited Clearwater Florida for the first time, and Mio's Grill & Cafe was recommended…read moreby me to a friend who has visited Clearwater many times, and said to me that this restaurant was a "must visit" during my time here (and they were right). We sat outside during our meal and the ambiance and feel of the restaurant was very welcoming! As for entrees, I ordered the Chicken Gyro Platter which was very well made, seasoned perfectly, and presented very well. The chicken was very well seasoned along with it being perfectly cooked, and the Rice Pilaf was the same. Overall nothing I would change about this dish and I would recommend ordering it. Next, one of the people in my party ordered the Chicken Gyro Salad which they loved. Same as my dish, the chicken was cooked perfectly. It was also mentioned that the lettuce was extremely fresh which is always great to see. The last two members of our party ordered the Beef/Lamb Gyro Salad which they loved. Again the meet was cooked very well and the lettuce was extremely fresh and overall they both loved their meal. (We did also order the Baklava for dessert which was fantastic as well) To finish, our service was top tier and our server Tayfun was extremely attentive throughout our entire dining experience and was very friendly! Amazing 10/10 dining experience and would most definitely come here again and recommend to others!

We sat outside on the water and it was a little cool but a light jacket made it comfortable. It was a beautiful day! We started with Turkish Coffee, which was delicious! We have no idea how to "read the coffee grounds" HAHA but I can tell you mine looked like a duck and a crooked United States, if that helps anyones premonitions, LOL. We ordered the babaganouj appetizer, which was DELICIOUS!! It comes with pita, but for me, being gluten intolerant I asked for some vegetable. Waiter offered cucumber, but he only gave me 3 tiny pieces....so sad. Whatever, I wasnt going to let it go to waste so I just ate it with a fork. However I would suggest offering a proper portion of sliced cucumbers for your Gluten Free patrons, as a courtesy. I ordered the gluten free Falafel Salad and my son ordered the Yogurt Kebab. Both were very enjoyable! My falafels were moist on the inside with a crisp outer shell, my only suggestion would be to add a little Feta to the salad, wouldve been more interesting than pkind of plain and redundant--especially for just under $20. My son enjoyed his dish, even using the pita to scoop it up. We were so full and brought more than half home. The waiter was very kind and was generous to offer us a complimentary piece of Baklava (we had waited a bit for our food but it wasnt really a big deal--we were enjoying ourselves). Parking is a bit of a challenge because Columbia Rest and Backwaters has Valet that sort of capitalize the parking area-so plan ahead for that. We went at 2pm so it wasnt too difficult but I would guess dinner might be a challenge unless you use their Valet services--but Im only guessing. The restaurant is cute inside, and I saw they had a wine cooler. I think we'll go again and order a bunch of different appetizers and try some Turkish wine. I highly recommend trying Mio's!

Our service was very good and attentive. We wanted to get non alcoholic cocktail and they made an amazing passion fruit mango drink. Absolutely loved it. After 20 minutes we got an appetizer but it wasn't what we ordered. This was our only other interaction with the waitress after pacing the order for the appetizer. We left at this point since it had been over 30 minutes and we had watched her service other tables repeatedly while only managing to give us water and the wrong appetizer. Update: the owner reached out and wanted to make it right. Unfortunately we aren't in town long enough for a return trip but it says a lot that he messaged me within minutes of this review and followed up with the restaurant to get more details. Especially since he was absent at the restaurant tonight for a family issue, which means he took time of what I am sure is already a stressful time to try to correct the situation.
