Beautiful course. Very luxurious. The course has a very nice design. Will definitely be back. Not…read moresure if it's beginner friendly.

I took a visiting friend of mine to play 18 at the Cypress golf course this past weekend on 4/11/26…read moreand I was not impressed at all with the price and the condition the greens were in. It was our first time there, too. We are pretty avid golfers. Check in process: didn't take too long. Older gentleman at the counter was nice. I was not aware that the clubhouse was under construction so there was a lot of construction going on with noise and mud all over. Pretty annoyed already as a start. There's no mention of this on their website either. Driving range: it's about a 4-5 min drive by golf cart from the "temporary" clubhouse. Once arrived, you have to head over to a self dispensing ball machine to collect your balls. This was not very clear or given to us as instructions at check in so we wasted about 10 mins trying to find out where to get balls from. Hitting from mats since it had rained the past few days. Mats were decent. There's a couple of distance markers out there as well. The course: we played Cypresswood course which was the lower priced one at $72 per person. The course design itself is elegant and isolated away from homes which is a nice touch. However, those greens were absolute horrific. For the price I paid, those greens should be nicely kept up with. There's no reason why they should have patches, dry spots, and grainy grass in them. This is very upsetting as it makes the game of golf certainly more challenging but doesn't make for a fun experience. This course definitely needs more maintenance if I'm going to be paying over $70 to play 18 holes here. About 3-4 holes out of 18 were in great condition, other ones were terrible. We never saw the cart girl. There are no restroom stalls in the course or even porta potty's, you have to go back to the clubhouse to use restroom which is a pain in the arse. The pace of the game was also very slow and ended up pairing with a twosome behind us. It took well over 5 hours to play 18 holes. Ridiculous. I think this course has a lot of upside potential. I don't think I'll be returning until the new clubhouse and construction is done which they claim should end towards end of summer this year. The layout of the course was nice and very scenic but greens were awful.

My 14 yo son and I have been getting lessons from Darryl for half a year now and we are definitely…read moreshowing significant progress. Darryl is kind, patient, and really understands how to teach beginners to hitting a consistent golf shot. Highly recommend Darryl for anyone who wants to improve their game. My son is a lefty also which I know not too many instructors can teach if they aren't themselves.

My portion of Swanson golf was to take someone who had ordered a club who is a fairly good golfer…read moreand have that club retrieved. Just as the owner promised the club was ready and in perfect shape and the person who ordered it was phenomenally happy. While we were waiting for the final fitting, however I had breakfast as did the person I brought along with me and the breakfast was really, really wonderful and very much unexpected. Not because I would purposely order bad food, but I wouldn't expect that in a facility that is a golf club fitting facility that the food would be so good but it truly was. Plus in the best of my recollection. I had a couple bloody Mary mixed drinks, which were exceptional as was the table service. I've heard amazing things about the people who have gone to be fitted with clubs from this facility and I will likely do so myself as I replace my clubs, but for the short term consider this an evaluation of their food, which was an omelette as I recollect, and it was exceptional as was the service as was, the facility as a whole.

Our son had a 9-hole tournament here so it was fun to see this course. My husband was especially…read morethrilled because he got to see these famous holes from courses all over. The clubhouse was nice. I loved the white and black decor. The cart rental was $27. Meh. My husband walked the front 9 and had over 12,000 steps so you can tell, the holes are pretty spaced out. When going with a little kid, having a cart wasn't terrible so we weren't trailing behind so much. Driving range and chipping and putting green were open and in good condition. Loved that they were RIGHT THERE and not a hike away. The course itself was pretty nice. The fairways and greens were well taken care of. Some of the cart paths could use some work, they're broken and cracked. Some reader weren't sure if they were marked out of bounds or not. We'd see a red stake but no other stake... so is it out or not??? Bunkers were not ranked and hard as a rock. Of course the bunker our kid hit into didn't have a rack available since we were able to pick it up, rake and drop. (Ugh) There were workers draining some bunkers that had turned to swimming pools. The front 9 were a bit challenging to our 8 year old. He took a 50 but had some sh*t shots. My husband wants to come back and play all 18. So we'll definitely be back! 5-star for being just plain unique and a fun experience.

Great layout!! Each hole simulates select holes from other great courses such as Inverness,…read moreOakmont, pebble beach and, of course, Augusta National Golf Club. Greens and fairways are very well kept. Good luck if you hit out of bounds, you'll likely lose your ball as grass is thick. Pro shop and bar staff are all great! Price is very fair. You won't be disappointed, play here if you're ever in Houston.
