Absolutely the nicest public course I've golfed and it's not even close. Very well maintained, Marshalls were awesome, everyone was friendly. Get some golf carts with GPS screens and this is 20/10 haha. I'm not a review person, but I just moved over here and this course is 10 minutes away, was so happy to have discovered this. read more

Our kid played in a 9-hole tournament here. The houses near this golf course were AMAZING. Upon arrival, the clubhouse looked impressive too! Very elegant, grand, regal. Inside it was old fashioned-ish... heavy dark woods, weird rock feature in the middle with a waterfall. Not really my taste. Liked that the driving range, chipping area and putting green were all close by. Unfortunately, it had been raining a LOT and the course was VERY WET. I feel like we would have appreciated the course more if it wasn't so soggy. Nonetheless, the front 9 were pretty good. We walked the course and holes weren't super far from each other. The small restroom was pretty sketchy. Needs a bunch of TLC. I don't recall interacting with any staff or members. read more

Played here more than enough times to leave a review. Course is pretty nice, some sands are basically water hazards which is unfortunate but most of the course is in good shape. Cant really compare it to the neighboring courses in the woodlands but for the price you cant really complain. One big plus is the restaurant, great food but it's at least a 30 minute wait for the food. read more

What a disappointment. Upon arrival the clubhouse looks enormous and grand but it's all a facade. My friends and I planned a day to go to Augusta Pines and enjoy lunch then golf. (We are regular, experienced golfers). Off the bat, we had a bad experience. The service in the bar area for lunch was terrible. The server/bartender was rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. I ordered a cocktail and she put an old rotten lime in my drink which ruined it. I did not ask for that. When I sent it back, she was clearly annoyed. The food was just ok and pretty expensive. Golf - before play, in the pro-shop, we were told it was cart path only (understand bc of recent rain) and that the bathrooms on the course were out of order and could not be used. Seriously? The course itself was in poor condition. Then we noticed there was 3 single players behind us that we had to let play through. Why they weren't put together is strange and shows poor course management. After play, around 5:00 pm, while going to the parking lot in our cart to drop off our clubs, our golf cart died in the middle of the parking lot. We had to carry our golf bags etc to our cars and abandon the cart. When I tried to go find someone to tell them what happened, the pro shop was closed and no one was around. We went to the bar and told a worker in there, she was annoyed and did not apologize or offer to help, she just said "ok" and walked away. We wanted to make sure someone knew there was one of their carts in the middle of the parking lot and there was no one to tell but a waitress. The inside of the clubhouse and the bathrooms are very outdated, looks like walking into the 1980's. It is not well maintained and it's obvious that the course and clubhouse are very poorly managed. The service was completely awful and the while we were enjoying a drink after play, the waitress let us know she wanted us to pay and leave because she needed to leave. This was before 7:00 pm and the bar was open until 9:00pm. Just awful service. This place could be amazing if it was managed better. If they hired good staff and if they updated the inside to reflect a current decade. We will not be returning. read more

Stopped here for a Chamber of Commerce event. This is a beautiful facility. Inside is a nice dining area and a great bar to grab a drink. Due to only being there for the event I wasn't able to view the full building. The course out back is very well maintained and gorgeous against the sunlight. All fixtures inside were well kept and not a thing out of place. The meal served was Salad, Chicken Marsala and all the cookies you could eat. The wait staff was very attentive and efficient.I am thankful for the hospitality shown by the club. read more

Poor conditions not getting better Year to year. Needs some TLC! Lots of areas damaged over time not being corrected and just keeps building up. Uneven tee boxes, burned out fairways and rough. A complete failure of home 12 grass, being a shovel. Hopefully it gets some needed investment from its owner who seems to think it's ok to let paying members just deal with the conditions. Greens are still quite good but getting to them can be disappointing. read more

Fabulous Junior golf program!! My son's membership includes a set of golf clubs a year, private lessons, group lessons, monthly and weekly matches plus PGA JR LEAGUE play! We love the coaches and the facilities. Highly recommend this for any young golfer. Interestingly, my husband's cousin was married here 13 years ago and now we are back to enjoy it a whole different way. It's really a beautiful old school golf course and the food and service is pretty good too! Parking has never been an issue. I believe it's $99 for non members to play and $10 for a bag of balls and $20 for cart rental. It's a nice secluded course vs some that are right next to major roadways. Glad we live so close to it! read more

I played Augusta Pines Golf Club in Houston/Spring on March 17th, 2019. I always used to like this course and thought of it as a pretty nice and upscale course in the area. Not AAA, but still very good and worth the money. But man! Either things there have changed, or I have. For one, the pace of play is horrible, and nobody seems to care. Over 5 hours for a round (I could have literally played two rounds in the same time, had I been allowed to play at my own pace). The first time I waited was the second shot on the first hole. And not just for a minute either. The course is also in horrible shape. I guess it's March in Texas, but I was still surprised. It was "rough and cart path only". I get the cart-path only rule, but "you can drive in the rough"?!? Strange. If you find yourself up the wrong side of the hole on a par 5, you end up having to drive almost all the way back to the tee box on some holes before you can make it back to the cart path. Hmmm... Also, while I get that the cart-path-only rule is necessary at times, they should at least tell you that this is the case before you pay. I certainly wouldn't have wanted to spend close to a hundred bucks on this mess. Slow pace. Cart-path only. Horrible course conditions. That's just a bit too much, all in all. Also, it seems that some of the amenities have gone downhill considerably. You go into a restroom and there is broken stuff. Garbage bags used to wrap up broken toilet bowls, and by the look of it, that's been there for months. I also think it is strange when you see a course of this price category have old carts without a GPS. Sure, not all courses need carts with GPS, but then you can't compete in this price category. (And I think I played at a twilight rate no less... we certainly played into the twilight, considering the awful pace... the last 3 holes took darn near an hour). Maybe they will get their act back together for the summer season, but man! I am not sure I will be back to check any time soon. :-( #disappointed read more

Fun course in good, not great condition...but played in January. Cart path only due to some rain and that was perfectly fine. Very fair course with plenty of variety for shot making. Played in a little over four hours, good pace of play. Pro Shop staff was friendly, starter was as well. Looking forward to playing in warmer weather when the Bermuda greens come back. read more

This place has so much potential. To be frank, it's just quite gross. Need some soap? The dispenser will be sure to give you a rusted questionable liquid. Need to take a shower? I can assure you the locker room will smell like cigarette smoke, but it's okay because you are provided with the amenities of shampoo and conditioner as you can see in the photos. A semi private course that looks and feels like Augusta Nationals. One of my favorite courses in town that is open to the public. This place has a splendid club house, and a wonderful practice facility.The practice greens are just tour perfect with nice practice balls. The layout is fantastic, from the creeks running along side some holes, to birds and nature intersecting with man kind. Did I mention this is one of my favorite courses in town? This place is so nice i forgot to take any pictures! So take my word for it, and come play it your self. The best open to public course in Houston! read more

Very rude employees that's about it but it's a good course. I went there anticipating a fun, nice day of golf which was true for the most part but I went into the pro shop and was rudely confronted by some of the workers who were very rude to me. As if it wasn't enough already they made me keep up to pace of play when there was nobody behind me and I usually finish a round in about 4 hours. I am reviewing the Clubhouse/restaurant/bar. I have taken buyers here twice while showing property in Augusta Pines and both times it was perfect. Each time we ate lunch in the bar area that overlooks the golf course. We've only had the salads and sandwiches but both were winners (really good ranch, homemade, not the cheap bottled crap) Very spacious, you can talk privately with your freinds/associates. If you are a non-smoker you may not want to dine in the bar area, as smoking is permitted. Perfect light lunch menu in the beautiful clubhouse on one of the areas nicer courses. read more

Today's golf experience was absolutely the worst I have ever experienced. We had a tee time at 8AM. We continued to be harassed by employee Hewbert. He said we were playing too slow. We never had anyone behind us playing up on us or being rushed. His attitude was completely un professional and was un called for. We finished our round at 12:10. This is under the minimum as the signs were posted. Jon the manager never followed up with our issue. Such poor customer service. read more

The course was in solid condition for time of year and heavy rains. The staff in the pro shop was awesome as well as at the snack bar. My big problem that I have experienced in my recent round is the mowers. They are inconsiderate and rude. Constantly throughout my round I had to wait on mowers to get out of the way so I could hit a tee shot. Whenever I was in the fairway they would mow right next to me when I was setting up to hit my next shot. On all but 2 of the holes I had to deal with this bs. I have never experienced it so badly at a golf course. For a course that charges $70 plus a round you think the maintenance crew would be a little more considerate. I would advise people to stay away and spend their hard earned money at other local courses that are much cheaper and have better service while out on the course! I will not be back! read more
