Stopped here for a Chamber of Commerce event. This is a beautiful facility. Inside is a nice dining area and a great bar to grab a drink. Due to only being there for the event I wasn't able to view the full building. The course out back is very well maintained and gorgeous against the sunlight. All fixtures inside were well kept and not a thing out of place. The meal served was Salad, Chicken Marsala and all the cookies you could eat. The wait staff was very attentive and efficient.I am thankful for the hospitality shown by the club.

Fabulous Junior golf program!! My son's membership includes a set of golf clubs a year, private lessons, group lessons, monthly and weekly matches plus PGA JR LEAGUE play! We love the coaches and the facilities. Highly recommend this for any young golfer. Interestingly, my husband's cousin was married here 13 years ago and now we are back to enjoy it a whole different way. It's really a beautiful old school golf course and the food and service is pretty good too! Parking has never been an issue. I believe it's $99 for non members to play and $10 for a bag of balls and $20 for cart rental. It's a nice secluded course vs some that are right next to major roadways. Glad we live so close to it!

I played Augusta Pines Golf Club in Houston/Spring on March 17th, 2019. I always used to like this course and thought of it as a pretty nice and upscale course in the area. Not AAA, but still very good and worth the money. But man! Either things there have changed, or I have. For one, the pace of play is horrible, and nobody seems to care. Over 5 hours for a round (I could have literally played two rounds in the same time, had I been allowed to play at my own pace). The first time I waited was the second shot on the first hole. And not just for a minute either. The course is also in horrible shape. I guess it's March in Texas, but I was still surprised. It was "rough and cart path only". I get the cart-path only rule, but "you can drive in the rough"?!? Strange. If you find yourself up the wrong side of the hole on a par 5, you end up having to drive almost all the way back to the tee box on some holes before you can make it back to the cart path. Hmmm... Also, while I get that the cart-path-only rule is necessary at times, they should at least tell you that this is the case before you pay. I certainly wouldn't have wanted to spend close to a hundred bucks on this mess. Slow pace. Cart-path only. Horrible course conditions. That's just a bit too much, all in all. Also, it seems that some of the amenities have gone downhill considerably. You go into a restroom and there is broken stuff. Garbage bags used to wrap up broken toilet bowls, and by the look of it, that's been there for months. I also think it is strange when you see a course of this price category have old carts without a GPS. Sure, not all courses need carts with GPS, but then you can't compete in this price category. (And I think I played at a twilight rate no less... we certainly played into the twilight, considering the awful pace... the last 3 holes took darn near an hour). Maybe they will get their act back together for the summer season, but man! I am not sure I will be back to check any time soon. :-( #disappointed

Very nice course well maintained. All staff I encountered was very friendly and kind will definitely be back to play again

This place has so much potential. To be frank, it's just quite gross. Need some soap? The dispenser will be sure to give you a rusted questionable liquid. Need to take a shower? I can assure you the locker room will smell like cigarette smoke, but it's okay because you are provided with the amenities of shampoo and conditioner as you can see in the photos. If Marvin Zindler was still alive, I'm quite sure he'd be saying "Slime in the Ice Machine!"

Does the course offer a chipping area to practice?

Yes. On the far left of the driving range, left of the Summit golf School building, there is a chipping area both out of the grass and bunker. There are usually plenty of balls there so no need to check out balls from the clubhouse. There are many… Read more

I took a visiting friend of mine to play 18 at the Cypress golf course this past weekend on 4/11/26…read moreand I was not impressed at all with the price and the condition the greens were in. It was our first time there, too. We are pretty avid golfers. Check in process: didn't take too long. Older gentleman at the counter was nice. I was not aware that the clubhouse was under construction so there was a lot of construction going on with noise and mud all over. Pretty annoyed already as a start. There's no mention of this on their website either. Driving range: it's about a 4-5 min drive by golf cart from the "temporary" clubhouse. Once arrived, you have to head over to a self dispensing ball machine to collect your balls. This was not very clear or given to us as instructions at check in so we wasted about 10 mins trying to find out where to get balls from. Hitting from mats since it had rained the past few days. Mats were decent. There's a couple of distance markers out there as well. The course: we played Cypresswood course which was the lower priced one at $72 per person. The course design itself is elegant and isolated away from homes which is a nice touch. However, those greens were absolute horrific. For the price I paid, those greens should be nicely kept up with. There's no reason why they should have patches, dry spots, and grainy grass in them. This is very upsetting as it makes the game of golf certainly more challenging but doesn't make for a fun experience. This course definitely needs more maintenance if I'm going to be paying over $70 to play 18 holes here. About 3-4 holes out of 18 were in great condition, other ones were terrible. We never saw the cart girl. There are no restroom stalls in the course or even porta potty's, you have to go back to the clubhouse to use restroom which is a pain in the arse. The pace of the game was also very slow and ended up pairing with a twosome behind us. It took well over 5 hours to play 18 holes. Ridiculous. I think this course has a lot of upside potential. I don't think I'll be returning until the new clubhouse and construction is done which they claim should end towards end of summer this year. The layout of the course was nice and very scenic but greens were awful.

Just as the owner promised the club was ready and in perfect shape and the person who ordered it was phenomenally happy. While we were waiting for the final fitting, however I had breakfast as did the person I brought along with me and the breakfast was really, really wonderful and very much unexpected. Not because I would purposely order bad food, but I wouldn't expect that in a facility that is a golf club fitting facility that the food would be so good but it truly was. Plus in the best of my recollection. I had a couple bloody Mary mixed drinks, which were exceptional as was the table service. I've heard amazing things about the people who have gone to be fitted with clubs from this facility and I will likely do so myself as I replace my clubs, but for the short term consider this an evaluation of their food, which was an omelette as I recollect, and it was exceptional as was the service as was, the facility as a whole.

The clubhouse was nice. I loved the white and black decor. The cart rental was $27. Meh. My husband walked the front 9 and had over 12,000 steps so you can tell, the holes are pretty spaced out. When going with a little kid, having a cart wasn't terrible so we weren't trailing behind so much. Driving range and chipping and putting green were open and in good condition. Loved that they were RIGHT THERE and not a hike away. The course itself was pretty nice. The fairways and greens were well taken care of. Some of the cart paths could use some work, they're broken and cracked. Some reader weren't sure if they were marked out of bounds or not. We'd see a red stake but no other stake... so is it out or not??? Bunkers were not ranked and hard as a rock. Of course the bunker our kid hit into didn't have a rack available since we were able to pick it up, rake and drop. (Ugh) There were workers draining some bunkers that had turned to swimming pools. The front 9 were a bit challenging to our 8 year old. He took a 50 but had some sh*t shots. My husband wants to come back and play all 18. So we'll definitely be back! 5-star for being just plain unique and a fun experience.

Unfortunately, after this experience, we can confidently say that WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING or RECOMMENDING ANYMORE. Pricing Discrepancies: We were excited to splurge on a round of golf, but the high prices felt utterly unjustified after the customer service and lack of care we received. We typically enjoy driving the 45 minutes from Houston where we live near Memorial Park Golf Course to indulge in a premium experience out towards Conroe. Inadequate Communication: Upon arrival, we discovered that we were not informed about the cart path restrictions until AFTER we paid...which significantly impacted our enjoyment of the course. It's frustrating to pay a premium only to face such inconveniences without prior notice. Customer Service Catastrophe: Our experience took a further nosedive when, just three holes into our round, a sudden downpour forced us to return to the pro shop for a rain check. We were met with rude and snarky remarks from the staff, which was unacceptable. Both employees made it clear that I had to "eat the cost" of a $40 rider fee, despite the fact that we were not informed about this beforehand. Their dismissive attitude made it clear that customer satisfaction was the last thing on their minds. To add insult to injury, we received only a HALF-DAY RAIN CHECK, despite not having completed even half a round. In an era when customer service is paramount, it's hard to understand why a course would treat its patrons this way, especially when there are so many better options available. Our experience at Highland Pines was disheartening. With poor customer service and unclear policies, we can't justify returning, especially when there are countless other courses that value their customers and offer a better overall experience. Save your time and money--there are far better choices out there.

We have been coming to Highland Pines every monday for the past month. We start the morning off with breakfast tacos inside, we buy drinks from the beverage cart girl the entire time we are out there, and always go in for beverages and lunch afterwards!! I do not play golf and I am still learning how to play which is why I shy away from playing at courses I am unfamiliar with. I am scared I will slow people down. I would NOT recommend EVER coming to Highland Pines Golf Course and spending your money because of the poorly and unsettling way the staff in the pro-shop treats you and makes you feel! My boyfriend calls ahead every monday morning before we come to let them know that he will have a rider and they say that it's OK until you walk in and they say every time "for future reference riders are not allowed" as they press a "rider" button and charge a $30 fee. Obviously if you have the button on your computer and we've been doing it for the past month, it is allowed. I have been working at a private golf course for three years and we would NEVER make anyone feel this way whenever they come in. They have told us multiple times to call ahead and make sure it's not a busy day (which we completely understand) and we do that every single time!! Every single monday they have multiple LINES of golf carts in their barn and I see it every time we finish up. I hate the way that they make me feel and the way I am treated everytime I walk into the pro-shop! The pro-shop staff is extremely rude and unfriendly and they are overall unwelcoming!! I've never felt this way or been treated this way anywhere else I have gone and I KNOW I do not deserve this treatment!! The unprofessionalism of the pro-shop staff is mind blowing and I would much rather take my $130 and go spend it somewhere else where I'm treated kindly and professionally!! It's not hard to have some class, especially whenever you are working at a nice golf course like this! Besides the pro-shop staff, I always have an amazing time here and the food and beverage staff is amazing, but they manage to ruin it EVERY single time! There is a right and wrong way to go about these situations and their pro-shop staff manages to go about it in the wrong way every time!! DO NOT BOTHER SPENDING YOUR MONEY AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!!! For anyone wondering KYLE WILLIAMS in the pro-shop was the man who treated me so poorly and disrespectfully!!
