I was gifted a 60 minute massage. To start, the day of my massage I called to confirm because I had not received the paperwork they mentioned in their email. They told me my appointment had been moved and they didn't know why. So I had to reschedule. Then the type of massage I wanted wasn't available for that masseuse. My massage did not start until almost 10 minutes after my scheduled time, which I also go there 15 minutes early, and then it ended almost 15 minutes early. I wouldn't recommend this place as I've seen others experience the same issue. read more

Terrible phone service. I called to schedule an appointment with a gift card I had received. I spoke to someone initially who was having an issue entering my card information stated she would look into this and call me back that afternoon. By evening no call. So I called back up and spoke to Maggie. I told Maggie I called earlier what the issue was and that I never received a call back. Maggie was very short and unfriendly. Maggie also was having issues and stated my card was being declined. I kept asking why they were trying to charge my card if they just needed one on file....no answers. Maggie stated she would have her manage call me the next day after the manager looked into the issue. Maggie was unwilling to help me any further and hung up on me stating they were busy. My wife purchased a membership package. She has been a loyal, no hassle type of customer for multiple years. She was not interested in leaving negative reviews or reporting unacceptable service. I am interested. The last straw was she was taken off an appointment, 12/23/2025, and told that the masseuse had a family emergency and could not make it but was offered a session the following hour with someone she has never had a massage from. This was not true as she was in contact and reached out personally to confirm with her masseuse. The service at times has been adequate and at times terrible, 1/10. read more

Teri the manager is terrible, her customer service skills are the worst. I had signed up for monthly massage plan $85/mo. Ms Terri refused to share her last name. She sent me a copy of information I already had a record of, merely showing the agreement. Luxe has received monthly payment since I signed the agreement. I had come into the establishment and spoken to one of the associates who had worked out scheduled appointments for me to catch up. Why she didn't send me how many times I was given a massage within that timeframe, is an indication she not to resolve my issue. They have collected for my account since April 2024 and I only received three massages. I was told I would get notifications when my massages were due, which never happened. I tried to explain this but was not able to explain it to her. She hung up the phone on me while I talking to her. She (Teri) was extremely rude and unprofessional to me as an active member. Let me start out by saying the massage therapist is Great! In no way do I want to down play her technic or service. This is the 2nd time I've been to this location due to "gift cards" I have received. I will never ever return due to their high pressure sales at the end of my visit by the receptionist. I'm sure it's her job but NO is a complete sentence and I didn't want to hear any more although I did. When I said NO again she said "Can I ask why you don't want to .. blah blah blah?" I gave her a lame excuse so I could get out. I did feel sorry for the girl standing next to her holding the towels and not looking up because she was even feeling uncomfortable. Stay aware..... St Charles has other great places for a message. I notified my son so he wouldn't gift this to me again. He also wasn't happy. read more

Terrible company. Terrible massage from Jeffrey. He was unwelcoming, and paid no attention to the areas I asked him to focus on. He also had no technique. What he did on the left side of my body was wildly different than what he did on the right. Mostly he did one movement for a super long time until it was painful. Once he just held my head in his hands. One might think that he was working on pressure points but I've had that service done else where and it's not at all what he was doing. He used hardly any oil so it was just his rough hands on my skin. Don't sign up for any packages. It's harder than a gym membership to cancel. read more

I have had a membership for around 10 years with MassageLuxe. I've tried several locations but never found one location or one massage therapist better than another UNTIL this year! Josh at the St. Charles 5th street location is hands down the best massage therapist I have ever encountered. I had many sessions built up from not using them until my luck changed and I found him! I started going every week. His attention to detail and your body, the amount of work he puts into making you comfortable and dedication to help make you feel better is top notch. I will never go to another massage therapist as long as Josh is available. I've waited for months to post a review because I didn't want his availability to go down but a good review is essential for his time and dedication to his art! Everyone should feel this good leaving a massage. I look forward to appointments weekly!! You have to call and request Josh at this location. You will not be disappointed!! read more

Do not give this location your money! Extremely poor business practice: 1. It's almost impossible to get an appointment in a timely manner. 2. I had an appointment that was cancelled by the therapist but no one called to inform me and when I showed up, they told me it was my fault because "I should've known since I didn't get a confirmation call". 3. I gifted my husband an hour of massage; however, they charged my card $75 because he didn't "check out" after the massage. No one told me on the phone or him to check out, then blamed him because "all of our clients just know to check out", even though he's not a client and had never been there. These are just a couple of examples. I've had nothing but problems at this location. The one good thing though is that it was super easy to cancel! read more

I went to the Creve Coeur location in September and it was ok. I asked the woman to focus on my Back and her response was "I paid for a full body massage." Ok I guess rub my legs and arms even though I don't want it? I came to the st Charles location and it was an amazing experience. Maddie was incredible. I asked her to focus on my back and she went above and beyond what I asked for. She got deep down in some of my troubled areas. Reading all the negative reviews, I can say I experienced opposite. Receptionist was nice and I was offered water before and after my massage. I do recommend you guys should explain some add ons beforehand. I'm easy to upsell to so adding hot stones or some aromatherapy and I would've been sold !! My boyfriend had Raven today, and he kept raving about his massage too. The cons- I did notice it was 450 when my Massage was over , we started at 405 so I'm not sure why they say an hour if it's only a 45 minute massage. And it would've been nice to have the table heated before I laid down, it was ice cold in the room! Also the ripped chairs in the waiting Room are tacky. I have had a membership for 5+ years. I rarely use the service but still continue to pay my monthly dues. I visit a few different locations without any issues most of the time. However, today is a different story. On 1/4/18 after my Cottleville visit for a 1.5 hour massage and facial I asked how I might be able to use up more of my prepaid "hours" other than facials and massages. I was told that I can gift an hour for $10! How awesome. I have lots of friends and family that would love to spend an hour getting a massage! So my sweet husband called to schedule an appointment for my sister and I. He called Cottleville but no one answered so he called St. Charles and said that I would be using a prepaid hour for my sister. Jen said "that doesn't go into affect until 2/1/18 but I'll give it to you anyway." Great! Thank you. My sister and I arrive. I tell them my name and inform them that my sister was using one of my hours. No problem, she gives them her name and phone number. We get our massages. Come out and guess what, Lindsay M. can't do that. Even though it is notated in the account and that I informed the staff BEFORE we went back for our massages. Why would your employees deceive their clients like this? Everyone is pushing the blame on another person. Yet Raven M. did it 20 times yesterday for other clients but wouldn't do it for me when I've been told by 2 separate locations, St. Charles and Cottleville, that it was an option. This place is deceiving and do not care about retaining customers, only about getting as much money from them as possible until they refuse to come back. Two times I've had issues with their text messaging system. They claim the texts are sent and I never received them. One of the times they cancelled on me and rescheduled me for the wrong day. I didn't receive a text so I never knew it was incorrect. They don't try to work with you at all they just charge you. Was then contacted less than a week before the appointment and told that the masseuse needed to be off that day for my massage. The only thing good about this company or location is the atmosphere. Massages are not good quality, they shortchange you on your time almost every single time. And if you purchase a membership, like I mistakingly did, you have to cancel months ahead of time for it to actually stop. And there is a very inconvenient process to do so. I did have a guy that was incredibly great at one point, so I asked for him every time. He informed me that he would be leaving to a different state and let me know that most workers there are fresh out of school and this place is their initial job/training. Once they become better and get a clientele, they go elsewhere. That definitely shows in the quality and lack of professionalism. I have had 5 UNAUTHORIZED charges from this company!!! I have been patient and understanding but this is ridiculous. The "owners" have been contacted 2 times via the store manager (Tiffany) and still have not reached out to me nor fixed this issue. The store manager has assured me that she will contact me and keep me updated as to what the "owners" approve. She DOES NOT return my calls. I have called week after week after week. I have been told that my card "isn't in the system anymore and will not be charged again" however continues to be charged and not refunded properly. I decided to terminate membership and things were not as I was told or hoped for. Membership seekers, you must cancel at the EXACT establishment you became a member, If you decide to cancel, you lose ALL of your unused hours. If you freeze your account, you cannot use your already paid for hours, also if you do freeze your account to avoid membership fee, they charge you $5 either way just because your account is frozen. What a rip! Now, tell me why I lose already paid for hours because I decided to no longer be a member. Soooo scandalous!! PLEASE ASK ALL OF THE QUESTIONS, IT'S NOT WORTH BEING A MEMBER WHEN ALL SAID AND DONE. Also, EVERYTHING is mediocre. There's nothing spectacular about the massages or service. If I'm a member of a luxury service, I want to walk into a pleasant environment and I expect to be treated very well. Not here, everything subpar. I'll pay the additional $10 or so dollars for a massage elsewhere when I actually need a massage. No need to visit or become a member at Massage Luxe. Herman is who I was booked with the first time after a short conversation with the front seat staff telling them that I hadn't been particularly thrilled with other massage places in the past because I don't like a soft massage. They told me that Herman would be a great fit for me! They were right. Not only is he the MOST professional massage therapist I have ever been to, he truly cares about what he does, wellness and helping people feel better! My interactions with the front desk staff has always been nice. I don't think this place should have a bad reputation because of a few bad apples. They sold me a monthly "membership". I have paid the monthly fees covering more than 4 hours of service. There is an option to suspend the billing. The problem is, you cannot use the services paid for unless you keep paying. You cannot cancel the service unless you pay the monthly fee. You cannot suspend it unless you pay the monthly fee. I found this out when I drove 30 minutes to my appointment only to be told I could not be serviced because I had not paid for September.....even though I have unused services!! I got upset by the non chalant attitude of the young lady and when I mentioned it, she jumped up. My frustration became outrage when she called me "girl". As a 40 something black woman being called girl is offensive. She refused to cancel my service and attempted to charge my card 4 times! (I already told her I made sure it could not be charged). Worst massage I've ever had. I will never go back and will tell all my friends and family to avoid this place as well. First, my therapist was gone for a good 10 minutes when she left so I could change, so my massage was already cut short. Then, she spent 20 minutes on my feet with almost zero pressure AND only used one hand the whole time! She was obviously distracted and it became apparent she was on her phone or doing something else. She then moved up to my legs and eventually my back, and the pressure was still terrible and she was still only using one hand (mind you I asked for deep tissue). I finally asked her to be more firm but at that point I was so uncomfortable at to what else she was doing I just wanted to get out of there. He managed to use my whole 40 minutes (10 was cut short because it took her so long) on my feet and back that she didn't even have time to flip me over and do my front. I was furious when I left and left my number at the front desk for the manager to call me. I had to call her since she never did call, and explained to her my bad experience and asked her to go through the employees phone to make sure there was no pictures on it. She assured me there wasn't, and only offered me a half hour free massage to make up for it! You couldn't pay me to go back to this place. Beware!! read more

I never have had a massage that I didn't enjoy every minute of, until this one. In the first 10 minutes I was trying to figure out how to end the session. He started "touching" my feet, not massaging, with no oil or lotion, I honestly thought it was a joke. The entire time, the therapist was yawning. Thought he might fall asleep. I started the massage face down, expecting to flip halfway through, and it didn't happen, no arms, neck, or head massage. A big waste of $74. I've been to many locations in St. Louis as I am a Massage LuXe member (for about 3 years), however it was my first time here at St, Charles. First, the frontdesk staff was very friendly and helpful. This Massage LuXe, like others, is very clean, and nicely decorated. Both my husband and I had massages. He was called 10 minutes before me (right before our appointment time of 3) and I got called back closer to 310. I wasn't stressing because in the past this has happened, but the therapist will always add the extra time at the end. Never have I had anyone short change my 50 minutes. Well, my massage was 45 minutes, at best. "It's only 5 minutes" Welllll, I paid for 50, girl. Unfortunately the massage itself was very poor quality. One thing I really didn't like was she sprayed eucalyptus on a tissue and then draped the saturated tissue across my face, eyes and nose included. I've never had anyone do that (usually they'll just put it in front of your nose for 10 seconds while you deep breathe). Well, she put it in my face and I thought "Well this is different.. Let's give it a try!" until about 90 seconds later when I couldn't breathe anymore, was starting to get a headache and my eyes were watering. I had to take it off my face. I just don't know why this is her practice when nobody, in my years of going to massages, has ever done anything like that. She didn't ask if I wanted it either, just put it on my face. She spent a very long time on my feet and felt like no time at all on my back (which I told her was my one problem area). My husband didn't have much more luck than me. After asking for more pressure over and over, he finally gave up. Now, usually if one of us gets a bad massage its a fluke, and the other one had a good one. It's never happened where we both had bad massages at the same time. Well, that was the case here. We both were so disappointed and so unhappy with the quality of our massages we will not be back to this location. A Horrible Massage Experience I scheduled a one hour massage. I informed the staff that I had special needs, having recently had shoulder surgery. The massage therapist started the massage 16 minutes late and ended the massage only 40 minutes later. He did not work deep, as requested. He did not work on my neck, face or head. He did not work on the underside or my left arm nor on my lower right arm at all. He did not work on my glutes or beyond the mid-point of my upper legs. After the massage I complained to the front desk attendant and told her that I would not pay full price for the massage. She said I could fill out a complaint form but that I would have to pay full price. I filled out the complaint form and told her that I would pay only $50 (instead of the overly-high price of $100). She made a phone call then said that no manager or anyone from "corporate" was available (since it was a Saturday). She then said she could not accept/ring up $50 and that I could not leave without paying $100. I said "yes I can" and then left the spa, along with my friend who had a decent massage experience. Later that day I received 3 phone calls from "Steve." I spoke to him only once, as he started yelling at me, at which point I hung up on him. A subsequent message from him said that he would call the police if I did not call him back that day. I did not call him back and have blocked his phone number. That's the last I've heard from MassageLuxe to date (1 and a half weeks later). read more

Was in town for business about 3 weeks ago. With travel and meetings myself and 2 co workers decided to book at massage nearby the hotel we were staying. $100 no problem, we all needed a good massage and assumed it would be worth it. We couldn't have been more wrong. We arrived for our 8pm appointment at 7:43 filled out the appropriate paper work and were each taken back after 8pm, changed and "hands on" massage did not start until at least 10 minutes after. I requested a deep tissue massage and asked that she focus on my neck shoulders and back. She started with me lying on my back and the therapist worked on my neck and shoulders briefly before she spent most of the time on my feet, some leg and arms. By the time I was lying on my stomach she told me we were running out of time and asked if I prefer she focus on my back... Really? After a short back rub (I won't even call it a massage) the therapist left the room. I was up changed, used the restroom and as I walked up front it was only still at least 8:47 (not in the 50's). My co-workers were checking out and I could tell by the looks on their faces they had a similar experience. I expressed the disappointment in the service to the receptionist and she didn't acknowledge anyone was unhappy. We asked for the managers name (Amy) and when we could reach her... after several unreturned calls we were able to reach her and she said she could issue a partial refund but her manager would have to call us for a full refund. I personally called Amy 3 times before she reluctantly took my number and had her General Manager Michelle call me back (today) who said that she was told we complained about the atmosphere of the spa (which was beautiful) and that there weren't waterfalls etc. I was so taken back as that was never said the atmosphere was very nice and clean... She then said she checked the tickets and it showed we checked in early but checked out at 9:05pm which is completely inaccurate. (Not to mention they took my card number (red flag) and had to run it manually because they said it wouldn't scan.) The General Manager said she would only charge us $55 instead of the full $100 which if that was this case I would have just accepted that from the manager at the location a week ago when I spoke to her. The massage service itself on top of the horrible customer service after the fact is enough that I will never try a Lux Massage again or recommend it to anyone.
