I'm giving one star only because I had to choose at least 1 star. The front desk clerk was not very welcoming. She was on the phone and talking to us asking if we had an appt. My fiancé told her it was got a couples massage and she said "go wash your hands and come back" while still on the phone. One technician had on marijuana socks. Then my fiancé was called back for his massage and he said it is supposed to be a couples massage and the technician got attitude. After speaking with their manager it appears there were going to be forced to do it but we had decided to leave. The first technician called me back and I informed her that we were not going to do it because no one seemed interested in doing so and she got attitude with me, saying so you're not doing it, fine, good bye." My wife got us a couples massage for Father's Day, we arrived 20 minutes before our time of appointment which was 4 pm. The masseuse' got us in the room to begin at 4:15pm (there's a clock in the room). Then they told us we were done at 4:57.... Also on the paperwork and before we started we were asked if they were areas that we wanted special attention too. I told him my lower back, then he told me what he was going to do... And I got no attention to my lower back. When it was all over and done I mentioned about the time and it was supposed to be 50 minutes, the guy says "Well it's not a perfect world"... What kind of customer service is this? I will never go back here again!!! read more

In the past two months my appointments were cancelled five times (once at the Dearborn location and four times at the Allen Park location)! There are two massage therapists I prefer however I have to book them weeks in advance because they're not available very often. The only way to get an appointment within a week or two is to "settle" for the "any female therapist" option... which means it's anyone's guess as to what type of massage you'll get. I chose this option for the Dearborn location and was "tortured" for an hour by Pamela who ground her pointy elbows into my back and practically pulled me off the table with some ridiculous contortionist stretch... which is why I started going to Allen Park! read more

After a long week at work, I decided I NEEDED a massage. Massage Green had a good deal, so I had to try it out. I registered for my massage on the Mind Body Connect App, and I arrived (a little) before my scheduled time. When I got there, the front desk said that my time was double-booked and that sometimes happens with Mind Body Connect app. They asked if I would wait an extra 30 minutes for my massage. This scheduling issue was the only reason I knocked my rating down a star. I bet this would bother others more, but I was so happy to get a massage that I was okay with it. It just gave me a little more time to wind down before my massage. I was offered water while I waited. My massage was excellent. The masseuse noticed that I carried a lot of stress in my neck and shoulder area and she spent a lot of time working that out for me. The pressure was deep and I felt like a million bucks after. She told me I should drink a lot of water after. I found that the location of Massage Green was very comfortable and relaxing and that the service was excellent. Worst massage experience I've ever had. Did not focus on the problem areas discussed barely at all. Everything but my neck was massaged, which I'm still in pain and got zero relief as I had sought out. When I asked to speak to a manager, the boy behind at the desk said there is no available manager until Tuesday. Well it's Saturday so I have to wait 3 days? That's completely unacceptable. If I wasn't annoyed before, I sure as hell am now. Especially with the boy at the desks sarcastically mutters 'can't wait to see you then'. What kid of establishment is this? The massage green franchises have either shut down or been taken over by Hand and Stone,some lack saunas,cold towels,their accountability is questionable, if you bank visits,get a receipt (if they have a printer) or you could be cheated out of massages like I was.I have been a member since they opened and finally got tired of their cancelations, unskilled and lazy massuses and was actually overbilled by an overzealous manager after agreeing to shutdown my account. She charged my account after she assured me I would not get billed ,forcing me to contest the charges. The credit card company reimbursed me and stopped them from taking any charges, terrible way to treat a customer who had a card on file for 12 years or so.Stay away from Hand and Stone in Woodhaven,the manager has a borderline personality and called me personally after I shut down my membership, apparently they have no customer service protocols in place. Plenty of great spas with talented personnel, Hand and Stone Woodhaven is not one of them. read more

I am truly disappointed with the way Massage Green conducts business. They cancelled 2 separate appointments on me and I no longer wish to keep trying to reschedule. They will not give me a refund even though the cancellation was not on my end. If you choose to still do business with them I don't recommend you pay in advance in case they cancel on you too. read more

I have been here several times... enjoyed every time I have came. Upon entering the establishment it is very warm and inviting. The clerical/office staff are always pleasant both on the phone and in person. When going to the back for services they play the typical music that makes you feel calm and relaxed upon entering the room it is what you expect massage table and dim lighting. My husband and I go for couples massage therapy. The hubby has had the same person each time Maria I believe her name is. Myself I have had two therapists matter of fact I believe I had the guy named Will, too. Anywho the therapists bothe seemed knowledgeable in what they were doing and they explained along the way what and why they were doing what they were doing to us on the first visit. My husband and myself left very happy and relaxed. Overall I would refer my family and friends to check them out. I bet you will want to come back for another massage. read more

I absolutely love this establishment. It is very clean and inviting, Very welcoming as soon as you walk in. Although all the Message therapists are pleasant and good @ what they do Carrissa is my favorite. She really enjoys her job and knows exactly how to meet your needs. I leave so relaxed muscle tension relieved. If she finds areas that need more pressure she makes suggestions and allows you to decide the amount of pressure. I have not had a massage in about a year. I booked a couples massage with my boyfriend, and it was very enjoyable. They focused on all areas asked for and we came out feeling very rejuvenated.I had major knots and was advised to take a deep breath in, hold it, and then let it out slowly as my knots were being worked out. I very much needed this as I was wound up super tight. We saw Melvin and Sonya, and they make a great team. They were very personable and friendly. I, however, recommend that a bottle of water should have been offered to us after our massages. read more

Horrible!!!! As I was waiting in the lobby for my therapist, another therapist named Will, came through the door asked the receptionist if I was his next client. She said no and he then said good and proceeded to make derogatory comments about my appearance. Shame on this company to allow such tactless people to work there. People who work with the public should have enough tact to keep their comments to themselves. To add to the whole experience. When getting the massage the therapists hands were rough and calloused, they kept scratching my back. It was very uncomfortable. The icing on the cake was as I was leaving some other therapist came and asked me if I was having a problem. How humiliating. I said yes and he proceeded to tell me that Will wouldn't say that. First off who is this second guy. Was he the manager, owner, Will's best friend, the Vice President, he should have at least introduced himself. Second off he was in the back when this guy made his comments. He was no where near. When my boyfriend called cooperate regarding this incident, they said that this is not the first complaint against this Will guy at this location, and it seems to me for a place that has been only open 2 weeks 2 complaints at cooperate level is WAY too much. read more

Ive visited several Massage green locations over the last few years and received massage services from varying therapists everytime. while everyone has a preference for a massage style, i have NEVER experienced such a horrible massage in my life. I asked for someone that can perform deep tissue because i prefer pressure, and all my therapist did was rub me. Painfully and quickly rub me. i asked to pause for a minute to explain that i was uncomfortable and that i dont like the rubbing, and my therapist got offended and quickly said i should "reschedule". The stretches she did were painful to the point were i literally would yell "ow" several times and instead of adjusting the stretches she kept repeating "deep breath". I went in due to back pain and left feeling completely worse. She massaged my chest and when i mentioned no one had done that before and i was yet again uncomfortable, she said different therapists have different styles. The only time she applied any sort of pressure was when she dug her fingers into my glutes so hard that i can literally feel her nails in my skin. I now have a bruise on each side of my glutes. After 50 minutes of pure unpleasantness and discomfort, my body now in Much more pain than before, she had the audacity to stand in the hallway expecting a tip. Im typically a nice person, and a generous tipper, i make it a point to smile in everyones face and never left a bad review in my life because i dont like making anyways day difficult. However, i would hope no one ever pays money for such a miserable uncomfortable "massage". my therapists name was Kiara. read more

I was pretty disappointed with this experience. My massage therapist was nice enough. She skipped over 3-4 areas I wish she wouldn't have, like my hands and neck. However, the room they had me in was really crappy. She even admitted it was recently a closet... A good amount of my massage time was wasted on her just trying to navigate around the bed. Lost 10+ minutes of massage time in the waiting room that wasn't made up for even though she said she would. On top of that, almost the whole time I could clearly hear loud talking and laughter from what I imagine was a break room on the other side of the wall? The massage bed clunked around whenever she leaned into it. Scratchy towels. If you have another option, I'd go with that first. read more

About a year ago I went in to massage green to buy 3 gift cards one for my mom 1 for my mother in law and 1 for my husband. Long story short I took my mom and my mother in law in 4 there massage and we had some issues at front desk w the gift cards Idk what happened but it got fixed and everything was well my mom and mother in law loved it. My husband had not used his gift card because he wanted me 2 go with him so this year 4 his birthday I decided to book a couples massage I went in to book the massage the lady at the front desk said the gift card was used i told her how if we've never used turned out they mixed the 3 gift card #s up ok she gave me a free sauna 4 my husband and I had a gift card 4 that so she booked the appt 4 us day of appt we come in all is well we go get the massage amazing relaxing when it's over they tell us to change and go up front I'm so confused cuz were suppose to go to the sauna I go up to the front desk tell the guy about the sauna he says it wasn t booked I'm so upset because it's my husband's birthday and plus they've messed up before the guy totally dismissed us like we can't do anything it's late I don't see it here it wasn't booked I can't do nothing needless to say I left took my husband to the movies but I will not be coming back they need to get more professional on booking there things and Handeling there appt and gift cards !!! read more

My massage therapist was very nice, but my experience was less than desirable. I could hear the other employees laughing and joking in the Hall way my whole appointment. The walls were paper thin. Additionally, they were out of all of almost of the oils for aromatherapy. I would NOT recommend going to this parlor. It felt like a fly by night shop. read more

So today at work I was just so agitated as my back was killing me from sitting up all day and I decided last minute I wanted a massage. I called Massage Green and I spoke with a kind young lady named Jessie... she was able to help accommodate even a last minute appt at the perfect hour for me! 8 PM.. gave me enough time to get off of work, go shower & get some stuff done before I could make it to my appt in time. Beautiful & peaceful setting. I love the look and feel when you walk in! & the receptionist Jessie was soooo welcoming! I love happy and smiling faces. It smelled amazing inside too. Went into a quiet room & Nicole was my massage therapist. I must say, for a tiny girl she has some STRONG hands!!! perfect amount of pressure and I told her exactly what I wanted and she accommodated to just that. I like more pressure in certain areas than others so as soon as I told her she had it down packed & it was just perfect. She also reminded me to drink a lot of water after. Appreciated every minute! & it was much, much needed. Besides, where can you beat the prices for a massage that amazing!? Sleeping better than a baby tonight!
