I got an amazing foot massage in Asia years ago and always wanted to find a place in the US like that. When I checked Yelp reviews, I saw that they also offered massage. I had a tight and aching back after a few long weeks at work, and decided to check them out after nearly every other massage place I checked was booked. They accept walk-ins, which I was relieved about on that day. The massage itself used hot stones, which was relaxing and comforting. The massage technique was a little ... unpolished? Like instead of feeling that the strokes or areas worked were connected and a smooth transition, it was a little more abrupt. Never had a massage quite like this one before in that sense. At the end initially I was quoted the wrong price, before questioning it and the masseuse correcting herself. I was going to pay with a card (they charge a fee), but the lady pressured me for cash. It was a rare occasion that I had enough on me. She immediately asked me for a tip while I was standing there with my wallet open. Some of the better reviews seem to reference a different massage person, so maybe that accounts for the difference. Glad I checked it out but not sure if I'll come back.

Kasumi is prominent in eastern and western medicine, and she combines both with her amazing intuition, to heal you in whatever way you need. Before massage she worked as a nurse and truly cares about helping people and making them feel good. I paint houses for a living and deal with spinal compression, and I run long distance and train judo. After neglecting my own flexibility and posture this summer, Kasumi completely lengthened, realigned, and stretched out my spine. I'm still in disbelief of how crazy incredible it felt. She helped work out things I didn't even know were bothering me; I left feeling five inches taller both physically and mentally. Never once has she flared me up, which is almost unheard of for me. She is highly skilled and knowledgeable, but what sets her leagues ahead of any other massage therapist, physical therapist, or chiropractor is her ability to listen to her patient's body and adjust her treatment accordingly. Furthermore, she views the body as a whole, not just individual parts. I have significant back pain, but often it was other areas that were the cause and my back was the symptom. She was able to address the whole problem, resulting in actual relief and healing. She also incorporates the mind body connection into her work. Physical pain is exhausting emotionally and oftentimes chronic pain sufferers are given antidepressants and told to go home. Susan, on the other hand, genuinely cares for and loves her patients. I could be having the worst day and seeing her always made it better because she has this gift of being able to make people feel like they matter and are important. I cannot express fully how much Susan impacted my life. She helped me get my life back in a way that no other health care provider was able, both with her own care, by helping me to be a better advocate for myself, and by helping me find other caregivers who could supplement her treatment. I've had a chronic exhaustion condition for several years and mainstream medicine hasn't been any help so I figured why not give it a try. After finding parking and coming into my first appointment I was impressed with my entire experience there. To be honest it's not the fanciest of places but you could tell everything was kept very clean and sanitary in the office. Dr Noonan(Rose) was very patient during the process of going over my medical history and very open minded about my experiences with my condition. After an examination she was able to confidently come up with a treatment plan composed of accupuncture and something called cupping. Honestly I had expected there to be some pain and discomfort through the process but I didn't feel anything more than a flick of a finger against my skin. Couldn't feel the needle at all! Also the cupping was really surprisingly therapeutic and helped loosen up some locked muscle groups. The part that really blew me away was the day after the appointment. I had a little soreness but I had enough energy to do things that I haven't been able to do in a long time, and it's only been improving since. After a couple days the soreness was completely gone and I'm doing better. I've set up a regular appointment schedule at this point and I am really looking forward to continued improvement. The woman who did my massage spoke softly asking me what areas I'd like her to focus on and what would be included in my massage. She gave me clear direction and privacy. She was firm, and worked out a knot in my shoulder and did a full body massage. There was calming music playing softly. At the end, they gave me a cup of tea to drink while I changed. I was not rushed in the beginning or the end. I would absolutely love to come here again one day for another massage.
